   Most underrated phone.
   This phone is so smooth in its processes. No bloat ware just the basics. The lights are mega bright and the toolbox app is incredible. The projector is awesome for late night grilling or laying in bed.

   Amazing Value Smartphone
   Okay, so on paper I thought this rugged smartphone seemed too good to be true, and in a few regards that is the case, but for the most part this things is extremely good and unlike anything else I have experienced in tech.
   Firstly this things is huge…and heavy. It’s 100% not going in any of your pockets. It’s a carry it on you or in your backpack situation. I thought initially that it would be ideal for people that work in construction and I guess that could be the case but I think this is more for hikers and campers. Definitely more for outdoors type situations, which is how I intend to use it.
   The screen has a full HD 1080p which means it’s pretty sharp. There are sharper resolution screens out there and even though this isn’t AMOLED it still looks great. The screen surprisingly has a 120h refresh rate which makes any movement or transitions on the screen buttery smooth. In terms of brightness it’s okay but not great. It’s around a third of the brightness of a standard flagship and doesn’t compete with most Samsung mobiles. I haven’t been using this outside in bright light so the brightness isn’t an issue for me.
   The audio is not the Tank 2 Pro’s strength. It’s very tinny sounding and gets muffled at higher volumes. Obviously you can use bluetooth to connect to a speaker and it works flawlessly and is much better, especially if you are using the projector that’s built in. Projector? you say, yes that’s correct. This beast has a built in projector with 100 lumens. It’s really incredible to think this is a mobile phone feature and must be currently one of the smallest projectors out there. It’s not the first of it’s kind as Samsung had a short lived series of mobile phones with a projector around 10 years ago (Galaxy Beam anyone?). It’s not going to blow you away. In truth I haven’t really used it yet other than to show off to friends but I could see myself taking it on work trips and watching a movie or TV shows on a wall in a hotel room. If camping is your thing this could be great projected onto a hanging sheet or portable screen. It’s pretty cool. You’ll need a speaker though!
   Yet another built in feature is the flashlight. There are two on the rear as a matter of fact, and damn are they bright. This is a handy feature for sure. In terms of ruggedness, this is dust proof and shock proof with an IP rating of 68. I haven’t dropped it yet but I like knowing that when that happens it should be fine.
   The rear cameras are passable but not up there with other flagships. I doubt you would want to use this primarily for insta moments, probably more as an occasional point and shoot where needed. The main sensor is on paper 100mp. In reality the images taken look good but enlarging them shows artifacts and imperfections that you wouldn’t see on other smartphones. This is half the price though and has an abundance of cool features instead. The 32mp front facing selfie camera is better than I expected and actually find myself grabbing this for those moments.
   I ordered the model with 512gb built in, plus it takes a micro sd card and can be expanded to have a total of 1.5tb of storage which is really cool. I have already loaded this up with movies, music and tv shows and there is so much storage left, barely made a dent in it! The phone is fast. It states a 24gb ram but 12gb of that is adjustable and I suspect is virtual so not completely accurate though I could be wrong. Even at 12gb ram it’s might fast and doesn’t slow down for me at all. I’m really happy with the performance in general.
   One of the other major benefits to this is the massive battery, it’s an unbelievable 23,800mAh!!!! That’s incredible but makes sense give the size and weight of this thing. I have honesty used this for 3 days and still had a plentiful percentage of juice left before I needed to charge. The battery blows my mind. You can also use USB Type C to connect to other devices and charge them, so it’s like having a powerbank at your disposal.
   For $500 I am super impressed and happy with the Tank 2 Pro. It’s basically a rugged powerbank, with a fast smartphone and projector built into it!

   Literal Brick for a Phone, But an Excellent One
   I have never ever heard of such heavy phones, until I have tested and used these phones from 8849 and Unihertz. Previously, my heaviest phone was the Samsung Fold 4, which was around 260 grams, or 9 ounces. However, these are more than twice the weight, at around 600 grams. That means you are literally carrying a brick, so I would never recommend this for a regular pocket. If you must put it in a pocket, then I would suggest a back pocket of a good quality pair of jeans. Because of its ruggedness, and its huge battery, it also means it’s super thick, and not in the good thicc way. For sure, these phones are for a pretty specific scenario, such as if you are a construction worker, or some sort of profession that carries heavy gear anyways. Otherwise, it belongs in a purse or fanny pack or backpack, as having this drag down one side of your leg is not a fun experience.
   However, other than that, everything else about this phone is pretty remarkable. I really like that it has a built-in projector, which is the first thing that will shock you when you first hear about it. Then once you started using it, you will realize it’s a pretty cool feature. Trying it out when camping, or in a really dark room, is a fun experience. So just think of it as carrying a mini portable projector, instead of a phone.
   Second, all the specs are pretty nice, but especially the incredible 20,000mAh+ battery, which will literally last you several days even if you don’t turn it off, and can last up to a week if you turn it off at night and use it sparingly.
   Finally, I really like that this phone is built to take a beating. it comes with a case made specifically just fot it, and that’s a good thing as I doubt you can find any place that would sell a case for it. Besides the case, the body and construction of the phone itself is already rugged, so I never worry about it falling from two feet or lower. Higher that that, just use the case for it.
   Right now, after the coupon, this phone costs $450, which is a fair deal for a phone of this construction and the features packed inside this phone. For a regular person like me, I can’t see using this as my main phone, but for those outdoors people, or the outdoors occasion of a camping trip, etc. it’s a great secondary/emergency phone, as well as an emergency entertainment device with this projection feature. For sure, it would be one of the most unique phones you will ever use.
