These canât be ignored any more
Pros:
-Cost for a 90cc class saw is inviting for saw enthusiasts and for loggers, farmers and pro homeowners.
-parts compatibility. Husqvarna oem parts are a direct swap.
-durability. Farmertech/holzfforma has come a long way. This saw was delivered ready to cut. No loose fasteners, no broken parts, no leaking lines or gaskets, oiler functions flawlessly.
The 395xp design is proven. Itâs decades old.
Holzfforma/farmertech is using a proven design and manufacturing it cheaper.
If this saw smokes a bearing, blows a top end you could replace it 3 times with a hyway top end and still be cheaper than an oem. Even if you went top of the line mahle top end you would be cheaper.
For the saw enthusiast who likes to hot rod saws with porting and modifications Holzfforma/farmertech has really opened up a new fun avenue. I think of this 395 as a test bed for porting, and a firewood cutter. Itâs my primary saw currently and has proven its self
To be reliable in my hands.
If you need a big saw this would be my first recommendation. I think the reaction to Holzfforma/farmertech is an emotional one.these saws have years of testing underneath them and are making a lot of people money cutting timber.
Again for me, this is a saw to understand and further my 2 stroke theory with porting and timing and itâs just a damn fun saw to run. Iâve burried a 28 inch bar in dry locust and it holds rpm just fine.
This saw for me was easily worth the price.

Poor quality
Less than an hour on it and sounds like the something rattling around in the exhaust. Won’t start and it’s getting fuel, air for sure so guess I gotta chase a spark fresh out of the box. Anyways, the thing is junk which is unfortunate because I run a lot of chinese machines from different manufacturers and this is the only one I’ve had an issue with

Works perfect
I bought this saw so I wouldn’t have to keep changing bar length. I have a real Husqvarna 371xp that I have been using for years. This saw is every bit as functional as my real Husqvarna. I’m not a professional logger, I’m not depending on my saw to make a living. I also don’t heat my house with wood. If I was depending on a saw for my livelihood I would probably spend the money on a real Husqvarna. This saw is impressive. It runs and oils perfectly. I would not hesitate to buy another. For the cutting I do this is a far better value for me. So I decided to take a chance on it. My buddies all laughed at my knock off clone saw until they used it. This saw rips. If I would have put Husqvarna stickers on it they would not be able to tell it was a clone saw. If you are buying a saw this large you probably already know they are heavy. I put a Forester bar on it and have been using Amazon saw chains. I am happy with my purchase. It makes me smile when I am going through a large tree and feel the power this saw has. The real 395xp saw sells for about $1400 in my area. I paid about $300 for this saw off Amazon. People can hate my clone saw all they want, it works great and I’m pleased with it.

Not your average clone .
I’ve been running saws since I was 10 years old . I’m 58 now . Although it may not be OEM , the G395 is as close as your gonna get . I have it on a mill with a 42″ bar on it , cutting 30″ cherry without any problems . I had to turn the oiler down , yes your reading that right . Fit and finish are damn good not perfect . Tuned it in the wood to 11,600 for break in , then 12,000 rpm after running around 6 tankfulls . This saw us worth every penny . I have many saws in the 90 cc category , this is a good runner .

5 stars for what it is
Is this as good as a genuine Husqvarna 395xp? Probably not. Does it have a ton of power and absolutely chew through large trees? 100%! For the price I paid, this is a hell of a saw

Air leak on second use – local shops wonât touch
Ran this for all of 1.5 tanks of gas before something broke. Itâs acting like it has an air leak – runs fast off start and wonât slow to an idle. Local shops refuse to touch it

Chinese clone 395xp
Needing to upgrade to a more powerful saw after the weather we had this spring, many very large trees need to be cut up. Perfect price for a chainsaw that will occasionally be used to cut large trees. Canât justify 3 times the price for brand name saw. Havenât had any problems so far, ran around 10 tanks of fuel through this saw, no problems so far.

A beast! (was)
The machine is a hoss. It is heavy, but it cuts great. I milled big red oak with it for about 4 hours a day for 3 days running a 42 inch bar and ripping chain. It does vibrate a lot, so check bolts between cuts. Even though you can see locktite on the ends of the bolts, some will still vibrate loose under a lot of use. Use the decomp when starting, and you will save your hands. The kickback is nasty.
*Update* With less than 20hrs of use, I will have to rebuild the saw. The big end bearing on the connecting rod has about an 1/8 inch slack up and down, so much that was causing an audible knock. The clutch has broken two of three springs. Oil pump seems to have been working fine, with no signs of overheating. The parts aren’t pricey, but I think it is a bit early for a full rebuild.
