   What are you waiting for?
   Now, granted I have only had this for about 24 hours now, but WOW! I am overwhelmed with what I can do with this. The visuals are crisp, control is responsive, and it’s easy to use and link all of your accounts.
   Want to go on a space walk on the ISS in 3D? Want to dive coral reefs? Wanna fly over Iceland? You can do it all! I can play my Xbox games, watch movies and shows on Amazon Prime. They have concerts at Red Rocks, informative nature shows, etc I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these.
   The first friend that came over and tried it had it ordered for pickup before he left my house.
   Im loving this tech, and feels sturdy and works very well.
   As far as comfort, the stock strap is lacking in comfort and overall effectiveness, especially when logging extended time or using one of the fitness apps. I ordered an elite strap with an external battery pack and forehead fan to alleviate this issue.
   This item is worth every penny so far. I will update this review if anything changes.
   Stop reading and buy this. Treat yourself, you’re worth it!

   Now that I’ve had 8t a few weeks, I’m still very happy with this purchase. Do yourself a favor and spend the $ to get yourself a nice halo headstrong. I purchased the BOBOVR S3 Pro and would highly recommend it as the stock strap is not the greatest. I use this headset everyday, so much you can do.

   Amazing VR, But one drawback
   The Meta Quest 3S is an overall fantastic VR headset that delivers an impressive experience. It has a sleek, modern, and clean design that looks great and feels premium. The build quality is solid, and it definitely stands out as a well-crafted device. One of the biggest strengths of the Quest 3S is its immersiveness. The visuals are sharp, the tracking is responsive, and the overall performance makes it easy to get lost in whatever game or app you’re using. Whether it’s gaming, exploring virtual worlds, or using productivity apps, the headset does a great job pulling you in. However, comfort could be improved. While it’s not terrible, longer sessions can become a bit uncomfortable, especially if you’re playing something active. A better head strap or weight distribution would make a big difference in making the experience more enjoyable over extended periods. Despite that, the Meta Quest 3S is a great product, especially for those looking for a high-quality standalone VR experience. If you’re into VR, it’s definitely worth considering. 8.9/10

   Great Headset with Drawbacks
   Review from a professional VR dev with loads of different headsets.
   The Quest 3S is a great budget headset that can play games on par with the Quest 3 and most other current gen (late 2024) headsets. It provides similar color passthrough and is a solid platform with access to both the native Quest store for standalone play (no external PC required after setup) and (through the Meta Link app) SteamVR when linked to an appropriate computer. The build quality is fairly good, although the included head strap is likely worth an upgrade for most active apps and the glasses adjustment should be changed with care to avoid damaging the mechanism. Overall this is a great headset, but when compared to the Quest 3, the lenses in the 3S both limit the field of view and the in-focus viewing angles. This introduces some fiddliness in getting a perfect fit to see content as clearly as possible – these issues are much less pronounced in the Quest 3. If you’ve never used a Quest 3 then the difference isn’t critical, but it is noticeable to those of us who use both frequently.
   The headset might not last more than a year or two for a number of reasons. Firstly, VR tech changes rapidly and has generally had large steps in quality and convenience every few years both in hardware and software. The headset might not be able to keep up with new technical requirements for fresh updates and apps after a few years. Meta has already stopped allowing app updates for Gen 1 Quests. Secondly, these devices are extremely sensitive to strong light sources such as the sun. When the lenses get direct rays from the sun into them they are likely to take some damage. Of the seven or so Quests I have had for work, which see an occasional trip to the car (once a month or so), all but the newest one have had at least one dead pixel (attributed to sun focusing through the lenses, but could be from something else). If you spend the money on a headset like this, it is likely worth getting a carrying case and not leaving it by windows.
   All-in-all this is a good headset on a solid platform. It is probably not a super long-term headset and could benefit from accessories such as a rigid head strap and protective storage case to get the most out of it. If you are new to VR or want something easy to use without breaking the bank, this is a relatively recommendable option. If you want the most out of a standalone headset, maybe look at the Quest 3 (or whatever the flagship is at the time).

   I’ve noticed some little bugs here and there
   This headset works well, I’ve been playing it a lot everyone enjoys it! But the face part is a bit textured and does get uncomfortable after awhile and I have noticed the headset bug out a few times. I did just get this thing barely a week ago btw so that’s something that you might wanna know. The controllers feel good the headset is pretty comfortable for the most part, it does work and it is fun I personally do feel like it was worth the money and I do not regret this purchase so far. Oh but I would recommend getting a battery extender if you plan on playing for a good chunk of time the headset does lasts about 1 and 30 mins to 2 hours oh and get rechargeable batteries for the controllers too so you don’t have to buy batteries every week yep I think that’s about it! I personally also I DO NOT recommend letting your kids play unattended I’ve played a fair amount of games this isn’t my first headset and I’ve seen and heard a lot please watch your kids don’t get this thing for a 15yr or below without parental supervision I’ve literally seen 5 year olds on this all alone not cool guys. Watch your kids properly and keep em safe I personally would only get this for 16+ even that I feel is pushing it there are a lot of creeps. I hope this review helps 😀

Despite initially receiving a faulty unit, the replacement process was quick and smooth, allowing me to fully enjoy what this headset has to offer.
   Meta Horizon: A Polished and Intuitive System
   One of the highlights of the Quest 3S is the Meta Horizon system, which feels intuitive and well-designed. Navigating through menus, launching apps, and customizing settings is smooth and user-friendly. Whether you’re a VR newcomer or a seasoned user, the interface makes everything accessible without feeling overwhelming.
   Great for Productivity: Workrooms Shows Potential
   While the Quest 3S is primarily marketed as an entertainment device, it also offers solid productivity tools. The Workrooms app is a great example—allowing for virtual meetings and collaboration in an immersive workspace. While there’s still room for improvement, the ability to work in VR, take notes, and interact with colleagues in a shared virtual environment is a game-changer for remote teams.
   VR Performance & Visuals
   Meta has made noticeable improvements in visual clarity and processing power, making games and experiences feel more lifelike. The higher resolution and better passthrough enhance immersion, and even when using it for work, text and UI elements are clearer than on previous models.
   Final Verdict
   The Meta Quest 3S is a fantastic VR headset that balances gaming, social experiences, and productivity in one package. The Meta Horizon system is intuitive, and while Workrooms still needs some work, it’s a promising tool for virtual meetings. Despite my initial faulty unit, the quick replacement process showed strong customer support, making this a solid investment for both entertainment and work.
