I’m seriously impressed!
I have a gas powered backpack blower. I never thought a handheld, battery, leaf blower would be much use. I got this for my boys (7.5 & 9) so they could blow leaves and walnuts off the driveway in the fall. We have a tree that overhangs the driveway and during the fall it drops enough stuff on the driveway that they can’t use their skateboards, scooters, and other wheeled toys. Even bicycling can be tough. So I thought this would be a good thing for them to use to clear the driveway.I was right about that part. It’s lightweight, powerful, and easy enough to use and control that my 7.5 year old can clear the driveway in minutes. He loves it and they both love having a clear driveway. I was really impressed with how well this thing did with leaves and walnuts. At least as good as my gas backpack unit, although I don’t think it’s as comfortable for jobs that stretch into hours. What I was wrong about was this being of much use outside the one task. This thing is amazingly useful. The dial setting that lets you pick a specific flow/volume means you can set it to a very low setting and use it to blow out the garage without making a mess. My gas unit has a similar lock but it’s nowhere near as precise so it makes blowing out the garage a challenge. This thing gets my garage clean in just a couple of minutes. But what really impressed me is what it can do in the snow. I have an ATV with a plow for my driveway but my walkways, about 200 feet of them, are made of old brick. They’re uneven, lopsided and it’s genuine misery to shovel them. You get about 1 foot before the shovel catches on a brick and, if you’re not careful, wrenches your wrists and shoulders. So, during the first snowfall this year I decided, on a whim, to see what this thing could do.The results were nothing short of amazing! So far I’ve cleared walkways with up to 4 inches of snow on them. It’s not any faster than shoveling but there’s no bending over or lifting so it’s much easier on my 56-year old back. It also doesn’t catch on uneven bricks.I did find that I had to develop a technique, especially for deeper or harder-packed snow. You let the nozzle touch the ground about three feet in front of you and work it towards you and side-to-side at the same time. This blows off about 80% of the snow. Then you go over the same spot, working away from you and side-to-side to get the remaining 20%. Walk forward to the edge of what you’ve cleared and repeat. It takes me about 2.5 batteries (mix of 2.5A and 5A) to clear everything but it’s so much easier and less frustrating than shoveling. I know my gas powered blower can’t do this, in part because the nozzle can’t be made to touch the ground. If you’re on the fence about getting one of these get off the fence. This thing is amazing!

Wonderful Leaf Blower
I love this leaf blower. The turbo trigger is wonderful for an instant burst of power when you need it. It also has an adjustable speed control which allows you to adjust the force of the air flow. It also is not extremely loud. This is a well designed product. I have other EGO devices and I really like they all use the same batteries interchangeably. This is such a convenience. Believe it or not but the battery which came with my EGO mower which is almost 10 years old now still holds a charge and works with this device and my string trimmer. Thanks EGO for making dependable products that last.

Read this if you are serious about leaf blowers
I have a LOT of experience with numerous leaf blowers.Gas blowers are powerful, but noisy, stinky.Electrics, are pretty close now in power and capability, on and off on demand, less noise (but still noisy), no stink.Electrics are either wired, or battery – those that compare with top end gas blowers, are top end 110v wired, or Ego and Stihl make battery powered blowers that will compare with gas. This is not comparable to high end gas. BUT, the stihl blower that is comparable to gas is much more expensive and heavy. The ego that is comparable to gas is the 8000 commercial model and for any respectable battery life, it’ll be super heavy on your back and is much more expensive than this. This, is a GREAT leaf blower for the price. It is not so heavy, the weight is well distributed across your back. It is well built. It participates well in Ego’s ecosystem. While it won’t substitute for a high end gas model, not having a wire following you means, getting around flower beds, or odd areas, or drying your car, or getting grass off the driveway after a cut, or cleaning your garage – it is PERFECT for that. It may not be okay for heavy leaves on wet grass. But that is what the 110V wired blower, gas blower, or a mower is for.Secondly, get a backpack blower. Battery + Blower can get heavy. Unless you use a blower for < 15 min at a time, trust me, you want it on your back, not on your wrist. As a bonus, this is much less noisy than an equivalent competitor model I have replaced it with.

convenient use, good power for battery operated blower
Blower has decent power on normal speeds for around the house jobs. It has good power on turbo but of course that kills the battery faster. I have a stihl top of the line backpack blower that I use in spring and fall to do a thorough cleaning of the yard as I am completely surrounded by trees. The EGO blower fits my needs for quick cleaning because all it takes is put on a battery and off you go. If you plan on using it for any period of time the strap is very good to have as your wrist will get tired without it. As with all my EGO equipment the quality and reliability is fantastic.

I have become a Ego convert. The LB6150 615 CFM is incredibly powerful and a charge lasts a very long time. I’ve used it to move leaves across my 2 acres on a single charge. The adjustable speed option is fantastic when I’m blowing leaves off my gravel driveway, simply because at full speed the blower is strong enough to push 3/4 inch gravel. I am a big fan and am thrilled with it!

Works and specs as mentioned. Forget raking leaves, its powerful and blows leaves away where and how you want! We saved hours of raking leaves!

Tool has delivered expected results. I needed a blower to work the huge quantities of pine needles on my yard. Although these are much heavier than leaves. This tool is perfect for the job.Only downside is battery charge life span. I had to buy a second battery to work my entire yard in same job

This wolf will huff and puff and blow your house down. I LOVE this blower. Way more power than the gas Makita gas blower it replaced and without the noise that drives the neighbors crazy.
