Pretty great entry scooter.
If you have ever ridden a city e-scooter, that is exactly what you expect when stepping on this one, but wow, it is way different! The response time is amazing, and the features are luxurious! The setup was a total breeze, taking just a few minutes. Once set up, it was larger than I was expecting, but in a good way. It is so well built and has the coolest features including even a little bell which I used on a ride last night and it was perfect. The foot surface is so large that we can (safely) take our kiddos for short little rides. Guests who have tried it have all been impressed at the response time, and how quickly and smoothly it ramp up to speed. Be safe and strap on a helmet because this scooter is fast. I am excited to take it on longer rides and get some good milage out of it.

Great Scooter with Great Support
Review:I purchased this scooter back in August as a way to get around campus. The scooter works great and its range and speed make it a perfect way to get around. Being able to fold it to carry inside to charge makes it absolutely amazing to use. The range is around 7 miles on a hilly campus but it handles both the terrain and the weather well. The scooter easily reaches its max speed of 15.5 MPH (it does drop when going up a hill or when low on power). My commute is around 3 miles (one-way) and to be able to take the scooter that distance at a relatively fast speed, combined with its lightweight design and ease of use make it a really great purchase.Product Support:A few months in my scooter experienced an issue where it would not charge when plugged into the adapter. The battery simply was not receiving a charge. Luckily, the scooter comes with a 2 year warranty for parts. I contacted support, and Kayla from the support team responded promptly and helped me troubleshoot the issue. Within a few days, they had already shipped a new battery to me to replace. After replacing the battery, my scooter went back to working as normal. This was one of the best support experiences I’ve had with a product and they helped me to resolve the issue completely.Overall:A great product for commutes around 7 miles with great product support. The scooter has a relatively fast speed (averages ~12 MPH on a hilly campus). It charges within 6 hours and is light enough to carry inside to charge. It is very light to carry and is very easy to use. It is being sold at a great asking price and is a great value for your money.

Nice scooter
The Gotrax GXL V2 Electric Scooter is a fantastic choice for commuters and adults seeking a lightweight, portable, and efficient ride. With its 250W motor, it reaches speeds up to 15.5 mph and offers a range of 9 miles on a single charge. The 8.5″ solid tires ensure durability, while the foldable aluminum alloy frame makes it easy to carry and store. Features like cruise control add convenience, making it a reliable and practical option for daily commuting. Highly recommended for its performance and value!

Great E-Scooter, Rough Ride
EDIT: The company manager reached out to me regarding my criticism in this review. He stated that he would discuss my feedback with the factory that produces these E-Scooters, and they may release a newer model to solve these issues. The Customer service experience has been pretty good, although you have to keep in mind that they are not native English speakers.I have owned and commuted daily with this E-Scooter for a few months now. It’s a great little E-Scooter, and it has fit my needs decently well. The speed is way better than my previous E-Scooter, (a Ninebot ES1L), and the cruise control is really nice. However, there are a few issues I’ve experienced with this E-Scooter. One such issue would be the tiler arm. Upon my 2nd or so month of owning it, the tiler arm snapped off, and my water bottle hit the ground. Thankfully, the customer support team at Gotrax sent me a new one, and it was pretty simple to install.Another issue that has happened recently is the disc brake. For some reason, whether it’s uneven wear or the rotor itself being warped, the disc brake squeals like crazy when stopping from high speeds. It’s annoying when I am maneuvering between pedestrians and they have to hear the squeal of the disc brake.Another annoyance, rather than an issue, is the lack of suspension. My Ninebot had a shock absorber built into the stalk, but this E-Scooter has no such thing. Apparently, it came with Pneumatic tires at some point, which were the intended tires for this E-Scooter, but somewhat recently, Gotrax decided to “upgrade” the tires to Airless. Airless are great for roads with tons of debris and are maintenance free, however, the ride quality is absolutely awful. I am forced to use the sidewalk in tons of instances where the roads are ever so bumpy, simply due to the lack of suspension. One more annoyance would have to be with the cruise control. It doesn’t have any kind of indicator that it has enabled, which is annoying, since I will be going down a bike lane and when I take my thumb off the throttle, it starts slowing down since it didn’t engage.Another issue for me would also be the light. It simply isn’t bright enough to be safe to ride at night. I had to install an aftermarket light onto the handlebars in order to see.My final issue with this E-Scooter is the lack of range. The battery is inside the stalk, which leaves little room for range. It goes around 6-8 miles on a full charge, with less range during the colder months. It’s great if all you need to do is commute around a campus, but it isn’t so great for running errands.Overall, this E-Scooter is a great option for those looking to start out in the E-Scooter space; however, I would highly advise, if you have the money, to go for the Gotrax Eclipse Ultra. It seems like that E-Scooter solves most, if not all, of the complaints I have had with this E-Scooter. This E-Scooter is also on deals pretty frequently, and I picked mine up during the summer sale.

It had been a long time that I commuted with a simple bike. Finally found out a green and budget friendly alternative. This has been the most amazing purchase I’ve ever made. Especially if you want to commute within city. The city I live in is not on a plain, still the scooter easily goes uphill without any problems. Grocery shopping has never been so easy. A great alternative for a car for students who can’t afford a car. The built quality is amazing. There are some fancy features which other scooters offer for a little more but aren’t practical to be honest. All you need is a powerful motor and a good battery which this scooter has. The LG battery makes a huge difference. The depletion rate is minimum for maximum power. I’ve personally taken this on bike trails too and the promised range was just achieved easily. I hope it remains the same after a few months of use too. The tires are good quality, traction is good. Suspension would’ve been great but doesn’t make a huge difference still. Hat’s off the the company for make it a hardware beast for the price range. Would suggest everyone to get one, for use or just for fun. You won’t regret rge purchase. It looks cool aswell.

Love these things for the price. We live in a busy downtown city. Bought for the kids to tour around on during the crisis to help keep they’re sanity. They’re amazing. Imm 220 lbs. Right at the top of the weight limit. I can make it maybe 10km on a full charge! Amazing! Me and the wife will sometimes take off on them too. Lots of fun. Easy to use. Good quality, amazing quality for the price!Wish they had more power and battery for me being a bigger dude. The wife and kids can make it pretty far. Id say they can easily get 20kms.I’ve ordered an iMotion L9 for myself at it has a massive battery, bigger tires and very sturdy for me as I’m topping the weight limit on these and I will soon grab one more of these for the wife so we all have one. An absolutely fun time!Awesome buy!

A quiet, smooth ride. Breaks are a little dodgy, so steep downhills should be handled with respect 😉
