Better but still not perfect
The go-pro system is getting better and better and is still pretty much the industry standard and leader in action cams. Lets face it, everyone’s chasing and competing with them. Upgraded from a GoPro 11.Pros: Being able to use bluetooth mics is really nice, and capable of pairing with my Cardo motorcycle headset to use my helmet intercom system for the camera. Another great feature is finally adding a 1/4″ thread mount to give a larger ecosystem of mounts. Also having a magnetic base gives you a new bit of flexibility for mounting. And has come in handy as I found I can rotate my phone mount in my truck to hold the camera to make videos. Magnet isn’t super strong, but strong enough.Cons: Still overheats and still not the best battery life. If making multiple clips (i.e. doing retakes back to back) you’ll find its starting to overheat when they system gets real laggy. Likes to reboot itself when it gets to hot so use that as a sign to cool down. Loss of the power modes is sad like not having “extended battery” mode kind of stinks too.

Incredibly glitchy and unimpressive.
Out of the box this thing is just a glitchy mess. Randomly stops recording intermittently, citing issues with the also brand new out of the box SD card built for video recording. Randomly says footage is corrupt sometimes. Doesn’t upload to cloud citing not being plugged in, despite being plugged in. Had to fool it into recognizing it was plugged in by removing the battery while plugging in, and even then it cites some ambiguous error preventing it from uploading. I bought this to make taking photos and videos of my activites thoughtless and easy, but it’s the complete opposite.

I like the GoPro because the usability the quality is good the only downside is it takes forever to load to the cloud so I just load each video manually I also have the hero compact really no difference in quality or usage between the two just no screen on the front and a smaller camera on the compact but great camera

We all know gopro, its where the pros go, but this takes it to the next level honestly.the quik app makes getting footage really easy, the video and photos are extremely customizable with anything from fps to resolution to color comp. small compact and amazing for motorcycle vlogging, which is my purpose

Got a good deal on this during the after Christmas sale. Battery life is way better than my old go pro hero 8 black. Especially in the cold weather. The touch screen is way easier to use, actually responds the way it should. Quite happy with the camera so far. Looking forward to getting more use out of it, when winter is over.

Iâm a GoPro user as well as I own a few DJI products and was on the fence between this and the action five and zero regrets.My only beef with GoPro is why change the batteries?? You had the same batteries for so long now why change now??Love some of the newer functions coming from a 10/11 user⦠I guess Iâm buying some more batteries lol⦠But I will be a GoPro user for life
