Sleek, Streamlined MOBO
The NZXT N7 Z790 ATX Motherboard is a fantastic addition to my PC build. The clean, all-black design fits perfectly with my aesthetic, and the covers for unused components give it a sleek and streamlined look. The build quality and attention to detail are top-notch. My only minor issue was that it couldn’t accommodate an M.2 SSD with a heatsink, so I had to swap for one without. However, this was more of a hassle with the SSD manufacturer than the motherboard itself. All the built-in features work flawlessly, making this a great choice for anyone who appreciates both style and performance. It completed my nearly all-NZXT build perfectly, and I highly recommend it!

Form over function
This is the Apple equivalent of the motherboards, with super pretty, simple, and elegant lines in the design, but when it comes to the firmware, you can’t tweak or tinker with it, a take it or leave sort of thing. Don’t get me wrong, you can adjust quite a few settings in the BIOS, but you can’t change the voltage to negative values. It’s crucial to flash your firmware to the latest version to ensure support for the 13th-14th Gen Intel CPUs. The support documentation, however, could use some improvement to help us navigate the complexities of the latest chipsets. Let’s offer a notification process through the CAM software so we can keep up with the latest updates.I used Intel Extreme Tuning to change the P-CORE ratios from 55 to 53 to limit the power draw and ensure stability. Though not an NZXT issue, per se. The CAM software could also use some improvements; it feels rudimentary for the power users’ needs and can’t reset to the default configuration without deleting JSON config files or reinstalling the software after completely removing it. The power plant for the cooling fans could also use more intelligence, some context from the CPU/GPU telemetry, to run them efficiently instead of having me run a battery of trial and error to figure it out.

Worked with 14th gen!
Great motherboard!Went full Intel with an i5 14600K, paired with the new Intel Battlemage B580 and it ran flawlessly.I can control NZXT RGBs, as well as Cooler Master’s AIO through CAM without issue.Only problem: despite everything working great, the VGA red POST light is active. I already updated all drivers and BIOS to the latest, but the issue persists.Apart from that, this MB is amazing!

Only lasted 7-8 months..
This thing lasted 7-8 months. Now it’s completely dead. Wtf. Trying the Gigabyte Z-790 Aorus Elite AX.

GREAT MB
Great motherboard. Easy to install and configure. Though it does not come with mounting screws and old school (larger head) mounting screws DO NOT fit in some of the mounting holes due to the design of the component covers, etc. The onboard hardware was all supported by Windows 11 and all current drivers were automatically installed. (no need for time-consuming downloads).

RAM compatibility issues
Make sure your is compatible before buying, check their QVL (qualified vendor list) on their website.I already had 4 x G.Skill Trident Z 16 GB sticks, and my part number was by one digit off, and PC wouldnât boot. The motherboards DRAM light constantly on.Will be returning item.

Intel 14th Gen Issues
I purchased this board almost exclusively for the looks. The finish on the heatsinks of the black version do mark easily against your finger nails (especially when installing your CPU cooler), but can easily be wiped off with a cloth. No biggie.I also bought it because of the advertised intel 14th gen support. Yes, this board supports 14th gen intel processors. However, mine shipped with bios version 3.01 which does not support the I7-14700KF that I put in it. Instead when I started the computer I got VGA and Boot lights with no display. After some trouble shooting I drove to best buy and bought an I7-13700K which started right up and allowed me to flash the bios to the most recent update (7.01) which includes support for 14th gen CPUs. Swapped back in my 14700kF and it works great. Your milage may vary with 14th gen chips depending on what bios version the board ships with. This board also doesn’t play nice with some 4000 series Nvidia cards. From what i can gather some motherboards will not output video through some 4000 series cards without the most recent Nvidia driver installed. If you’re installing a fresh copy of windows there are no drivers and thus no video. The only way around this is to have a k version of intel chips so you can use the onboard graphics. (I regret trying to save a few bucks by buying a KF rip) However, Nvidia will not install the drivers if it does not detect a graphics card. You have to start you PC with the GPU unplugged, go into the Bios and switch the display output from auto to integrated. This allows you to get display output from the integrated graphics and allow the Nvidia drivers to detect your card and install the proper driver. Once you’ve installed the driver you can go back to the bios and switch it back to auto.I hope this helps some people as it was a pain for me to figure out. I believe this is a good board, but depending on the hardware you’re installing it can be a headache. It is currently working great with a 14700KF chip and an RTX 4080. (I returned the 13700K to BestBuy after updated the bios and installing the display drivers. Sorry BestBuy).

Very clean
Looks amazing, on product page it says it supports up to 6000 mhz, paired 6400 dominators to it and it workes perfectly with/without xmp, also has a couple argb connectors to control light strips, cooling pad for the m.2 slot (mine is 990 pro), will make any build look cleaner!
