   For The Money, You Can’t Beat ‘Em!
   These Uakinat speakers are FANTASTIC!!!
   I have an 8-inch El Cheapo tablet that sounds good only through headphones—and I don’t like wearing headphones. So, I plugged-in these mini-speakers and they are a game changer!
   Now, my crummy tablet sounds almost as good as my very expensive laptop which is crisp and clear—even at high volume. It’s so nice to walk around the room and still be able to hear what’s playing on my tablet, without earbuds nor headphones nor having to carry the device with me.
   Uakinat external speakers are a breeze to install. All you do is insert the plugs into their corresponding jacks on your device, turn on your device’s power and you’re set. An adapter is included for converting USB to USB-C. And there’s a wheel on the cord for adjusting volume during play.
   Adding to the enjoyment are color-changing lights. They’re built-in near the bottom of each speaker cube and shine on the surface of wherever they’re placed. The lights are fun and create a very pleasant ambiance.
   My Uakinat speakers provide a phenomenal improvement on my tablet’s sound. I could not be more pleased.

   OK speakers for the size and price
   I divide my week between two houses (my parents’ house, where I help to take care of them during the week… and my own, where I spend my weekends while paid caregivers take care of them). I got these speakers as part of my ongoing effort to fully replicate my living environment at both houses and reduce the amount of “stuff’ I have to pack and round-trip transport twice a week.
   As $10 (give or take) speakers making up for a 27” monitor that lacks speakers of its own, they’re basically on the same level as built-in speakers would have been. Their audio fidelity is poor, they have no ability to reproduce bass tones at all, and don’t do much better at reproducing high-frequency tones… but the rear-firing speakers in the few monitors that have them anymore aren’t really any better.
   I’d say, if you’re thinking about buying these speakers so you can have a low-cost, compact, low-ceremony way of getting audio output for a computer and monitor without speakers of their own… these speakers are fine. However, if you’re thinking about buying them to use someplace where your computer and/or monitor ALREADY have built-in speakers, these speakers aren’t likely to be a step up compared to just using the speakers in the devices you already have. They don’t really sound WORSE than most built-in laptop/monitor speakers… they just don’t really sound any BETTER.
   The one scenario where they MIGHT be (kind of) a step up compared to a monitor’s own built-in speakers is if the monitor’s speakers are rear-firing instead of downward-firing or forward-firing. Rear-firing monitor speakers only (halfway) work if there’s a wall a foot or two behind the monitor (to reflect the sound back at you). At least THESE speakers can be aimed directly TOWARD you.

   Nice set of basic speakers.
   I needed a set of low profile speakers to fit under my monitor, and the Uakinat speakers do a great job at giving a basic set with a low profile. The speakers audio source is from the 3.5mm jack (the green one) and they are powered from USB, so you can just plug them into an extra port on the back of the PC. There is a volume control on the power cable near the speakers. They also have a visual LED bar along the bottom of each speaker. It color cycles smoothly, and adds ambience and is not distracting in any lighting condition.
   The speakers are just what I need for my general gaming experience and casual light music listening. Don’t expect pounding bass from these speakers, and the audio leans towards high frequencies when listening to music at higher volumes. Most importantly for me, they fit under my monitors so I can have 2 monitors and audio, my old speakers were just too big and didn’t work with my new configuration. They work very well, especially at their price point.

   Even with the volume turned all the way up it’s not very loud. Also the audio cable is very short.

   Decent sound, nice look
   These speakers do not take up a lot of space. They have lights that change colors. Not sure why but it hasn’t been a distraction. The sound quality is surprisingly good given the small size. I had been using the speakers on my gaming monitor and it’s a huge upgrade but nothing over the top. I am using these on my Mac mini. These speakers came with a 3.5mm jack that the Mac mini has and it also has a usb which the Mac doesn’t have but it includes a USBC adapter that the Mac mini has about 4 of so its perfect. I have a usbc to usb adapter but I’m already using one for my mouse and this was super easy. It uses the usbc as the power source so there’s not a lot of cables. The volume bar that’s included may be useful but I just max it out and use my computer to adjust volume, not trouble there. For the size and price these are perfect for what I was looking for.
