As affordable battery powered throwers go, Great!
I have rated it based on what it is. A battery powered, affordable snow thrower. I was not comparing it to a corded electric of a gas powered. These are more powerful, handle wetter, deeper, heavier snow. You can tow a 24 foot travel trailer with a Pinto, but you cannot fairly compare the performance and capability of the Pinto with a F-250.
I live in Eastern Washington state, and we get a fair amount of snow. Somewhere between Buffalo and Phoenix. 🙂 I have a corded thrower that does the job quite well. But dragging 100 feet of heavy power cord around trees and such is tiring. I am a disabled senior citizen, and do not get around well. Last year I purchased the Greenworks battery shovel. It uses the same battery as the thrower and my Greenworks cordless mower. The mower is great!, The shovel is useless. I compared the effort, time and efficiency of that shovel with using a manual snow shovel. The electric one failed. Unfortunately by the time we had a snowfall to try it out, it was too late to return it. I decided then and there to save up and get the full thrower the following year.
This thrower is great. I drop the battery in and away I go. I have 2 70 foot driveways and assorted walkways and a sidewalk. The 4AH battery requires a changeout at 3/4 of the job. Fortunately I have two batteries, one from the mower. They charge back up real quick. The only issues I have is deep snow (over 6″, and stop typing Buffalo! 🙂 ), so I take a high pass followed by a ground pass. And wet snow tends to plug the base of the vertical shoot. I accept these limitations for the convenience and ease of use a battery thrower provides.
If money is not a factor, there are my other choices, but for the money, as well as the convenience of the interchangeable batteries with other Greenworks fine products (except the shovel 🙁 ) This was a perfect choice for me. At least consider and compare. I think it would be perfect for many of you!

Works as expected but hard to put the battery in
I had trouble to insert the battery into the machine every time, even I tried to punch it, but it is not always in. It took me a few minutes to get it really in then it worked very well, powerful enough to get the 3 inches snow away quickly.
I have a long and wide drive way, the battery is enough for two snow days. But I haven’t tried for thicker snow yet.

    Shockingly Great!
Made easy work of a 7in snowfall here in Minnesota! Throws snow an incredible distance. Best for smaller driveways, I finished mine and went to bring it to a rental property to clear the snow and it died about halfway through. May want to buy an extra battery for larger driveways or if you have multiple properties.

    Not a reliable product
Bought in October, 2024. Used first time in January, 2025. Worked for about 3 hours and just quit. Would start up but won’t keep running. Battery was fully charged. No product support available from manufacture. Needed to return. Of course had to fight for a full refund because past 30 days. Would not recommend if you’re prone to a lot of snow.

    Great tool, great value.
This is an effective, easy to use, low maintenance, low cost option for snow removal. I use it for a double driveway with sidewalk, center yard walkway and large patio. I do suggest getting an extra battery or the two pack of extra batteries like I did. I use two batteries for all that I mentioned.

    the jury is still out.
I ordered one of these blowers as an alternative to using my gas-powered machine with light snow falls and looking for something easy to maneuver for my gal if I am not around. The price was good when compared to other 20″ battery electrics, the Amazon coupon contributed a nice discount on the price also. However, when I received the machine, it did not seem to work as advertised. The packaging is very good, the assembly very quick and easy 5-10 minutes is all. I charged the battery and inserted it, turned on the machine and although the paddles turned, they seemed slow. We got a snow fall a few hours after I had the machine ready to go, perfect timing. It did not seem to throw the snow very well, certainly not like the video shows or the sales information claims. 2 days later it snowed again this time it cleared about 6 feet of sidewalk and quit. I called Greenworks directly and they sent me a new one in 10 days. I was impressed at how painless the process was. I assembled the new one and re-boxed the defective one. It just now is starting to snow so we shall see how the replacement works and I will report back.

    Powerful and easy to operate
Only used it once so far, but was impressed with the power and maneuverability. Light weight and well built. Charged battery lasted 30 min. which I expected. Enough to do 2 driveways. The LED headlights were an added plus when using at night.

    Decent electric snow thrower
Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Seems well made. I’ve only used it once, but it did a surprisingly good job with heavy, wet snow which I thought it might struggle with. I keep the battery charged and indoors as recommended by other reviews. No problems so far, but I will update my review after I get more experience with it. Good value for the money.

  9. Rüdi

    Bedienung und Handhabung Kinderleicht,
Die Grenzen liegen Auf Unebenheiten, 4AH Akku ist gerade ausreichend

  10. Amazon Kunde

Der Schneeauswurf verstopft zu schnell. Gutes, hilfreiches Gerät, aber nur bei Neuschnee.
