A Good Purchase
The product is compact and appears to be of good quality. The product was used in a storage area that was formerly a coal-cellar with dimensions of approximately 15 x 5 x 9 feet. The area has become almost stifling with the smell of mold and mildew, to the point of having to wear a ventilation mask upon entering. I placed the product up on a platform and ran it on two separate occasions within 4 days for 60 minutes on each occasion. The change in the air quality was remarkably improved, with little to no trace of the mildew odor. The product was quiet, efficient, and remained cool to the touch. Depending on the longevity of the product, which will be determined after continued use, this product appears to be of good value for the relatively modest cost. At this point I would recommend the product for its performance and positive effect on neutralizing mold and mildew.

Powerful
This is a very powerful piece of equipment. It is essential that no people or pets are in the building when it is operated.
Iâve used it in my car for 30 minutes only, however the car needs to be aired out before use.

Works.
This machine seem to do exactly as advertised It was easy to set up it’s not overly heavy All the functions and controls worked exactly as expected and the outcome was what we expected I don’t know a lot about these type of machines so I can’t really compare it to any other but it seems to get the job done.

This ozone generator is amazing. Completely got rid of cigarette order left it our house.
I ordered this because we had family stay with us for a week over the holidays. Unfortunately they were both smokers who couldn’t be bothered to go outside in the cold to smoke. I was okay that they say next to the fireplace and it pulled their smoke up the chimney. That worked really well to suck the smoke out and we could barely smell it. But unknown to us, while sleeping in our young daughters room for the duration of their visit, they didn’t bother to go to the fireplace or outside during the night. They both smoked in her room for a week and it smelled terrible. We tried stuff like febreze, but it only helped a little. A friend of ours recommended using an ozone generator. I ordered this one and it arrived the next evening. You are not supposed to be in the room or even the house while this thing is running. The next day we planned a trip to the mall, lunch and a movie to give it plenty of time to work. After reading the directions, I set the timer and we all left the house. We arrived back home several hours later. It had completed the cycle and you would not believe the difference. I could still smell a bit of ozone but absolutely no smoke smell. The manual suggested to open the window to help dissipate the ozone smell. After maybe 5 minutes the ozone smell had gone. It was like there was no smell of anything. I was very hard to believe it worked that well. I had never used anything like this before, but I will now. My shed out in the back yard has had a musty smell for a few years. It never got worse, but never got better either. I took it out and set it to the maximum time and let it go to work. The next day I went to check on it and it was definitely better but I could still smell it some. I moved the generator to the other side of the shed and set it to run again. The next day I checked it again and it was much better with only the slightest hint of musty. I have a lot of stuff packed in the shed so the ozone must be having a hard time penetrating all the nooks and crannies. But the shed was still 90% better. I really am amazed it works as well as it did. If you have tried everything and still have smells you can’t stand, you really ought to give this ozone generator a try. It will help.

Small but super powerful ozone generator. You may need more than one. Tips below
80,000 is almost commercial grade ozone – about double what a typical ozone generator does, and this machine does a great job removing odors. But there is a strategy to it – it depends what you’re trying to accomplish. Obviously more power is better – get the strongest one you can afford. But also keep in mind you may need more than one.
The only difference between this and a true commercial ozone generator is that this doesn’t have a built-in blower. But that’s simple enough – just stick a fan in front of it. One challenge with ozone is that it’s a heavy gas, it settles on the floor and doesn’t move around a lot. You have to circulate it with a fan. And, if you have a particularly smelly room, you may need multiple machines (pointed at each wall), or, rotate your machine (2 hours on each wall, then maybe 2 hours pointed at the ceiling).
This is also a great value for an 80,000. HOWEVER, if you’re trying to de-smell a house, I always run more than one at a time, because it’s such a hassle to rotate them. So if you have a fixed budget, you may want to consider getting two or more 40,000 units instead of one 80,000 unit, because it will really speed up your cleaning time.
If you’re just looking for normal household air freshener, then one machine is fine . Or if you have the budget, maybe one per story or level (more on that below). In my own house, I keep one in the garage, one in the basement, one on the main level, and one upstairs – although that’s mostly just for convenience, I’m not trying to get rid of smoke smell or anything so I could just as easily move them around. And I turn them on maybe once a month – if we cook fish or something like that, I’ll click them on when we leave the house, and when we come home the house smells great. Bigger is better, but for what I’m describing 40,000 is ample.
Ozone is great at disinfecting and deodorizing, but does NOT clean or remove anything from the air or from surfaces. So yes it’s the best approach for cigarette smoke, but it does not remove the tar and other stuff from the walls, carpets, furniture, etc – you’re still very much susceptible to the dangers of third hand smoke.
I CRINGED when another reviewer said this machine “removed” the smoke from their child’s room. Just because the smell is gone doesn’t mean the toxic chemical residue isn’t still there. If you’re dealing with smoke (house fire, cigarette smoke, etc), you MUST scrub the walls as good as you can before running this machine. I would paint over it as well. Clean or replace the ductwork. Replace the carpet and padding (or at least steam clean it).
There are a MILLION places all those chemicals have settled – wall sockets, ceiling fans, trim, door knobs, etc etc. Ozone is a solution to smell – and it will sanitize – but that’s all. It does NOT make a space safe for living. Please don’t fool yourself into thinking you can remove all (or even most) of the chemical residues. But if you don’t have any other options, do your best getting the residue out of there before ozoning. Also please realize that a child’s lungs are much more susceptible to chemicals and toxins.
If you just want your house to smell fresh, then this 80,000 unit is great – just run it for 2 hours whenever you leave the house. I would put it upstairs, since ozone gas is heavy and falls to lower levels. Or I would rotate it – one day on the main level, one day in the basement. etc. It’s important to leave the house when it’s on – it’s harmful to your lungs – and wait for it to dissipate. As a general rule, if running it for an hour, give it another hour to dissipate.
However, if you are treating specific odors, then close the door, point it at the problem area, and use a fan. If you’re treating a whole house (smoke damage, mold smell, etc), then it’s incredibly difficult to do with just one unit. For big jobs, I like to run 3-4 units per room, with fans. Typical treatment time is 2 hours – let it air out, then move to the next room. So it takes a few days rotating them like that. It’s better with an oscillating fan, but they’re often not very powerful.
A couple words of caution. First, do NOT think that a mask will protect you from ozone – there is no mask that filters out ozone. It will go right through your mask and burn your lungs. A little bit of exposure won’t hurt you, but try to minimize to a minute or two. Second, ozone will oxidize metal, especially if wet. If you have any damp metal, it will rust very quickly.
