   I’ve been using the Arlo Essential Indoor Wired Security Camera for a while now, and I’m super impressed! Setting it up was really easy, and the connection to Wi-Fi was smooth. The video quality is clear, even at night with the night vision feature, which gives me peace of mind.
   I use it mainly as a baby monitor, and the two-way audio is a lifesaver when I need to talk to my little one without running to the room. The camera covers the entire nursery, so I can see everything from my phone, and I don’t have to keep adjusting it.

   Great home security
   I recently got the Arlo Essential Indoor Wired Security Camera (2nd Gen), and I’m really impressed! Setting it up was super easy—I had it up and running in no time. Since it’s wired, I don’t have to stress about batteries dying on me, which is a big plus.
   The video quality is fantastic. The 1080p resolution gives a super clear picture, even at night. The night vision works surprisingly well, so I can see everything even when it’s pitch black.
   One feature I love is the motion detection. It’s really accurate and sends me alerts right away if there’s any movement in the room. Plus, there’s a privacy shield, so when I’m home and don’t need the camera on, I can just flip it off easily.
   The two-way audio is another great feature. It’s perfect for checking in on my pets or talking to someone in the room. The sound is clear, and there’s no delay, which I really appreciate.
   It also works smoothly with my smart home setup—I can control it with Alexa or Google Assistant, which makes things super convenient. And I like that the camera has a sleek, modern look that fits in nicely with my home.

   Do NOT BUY
   This camera has something called a privacy shield I did not know about. It is a white screen that flips up and down like a shutter and you cannot deactivate it. To use or see through the camera from your phone, even when you are already logged in the app, you have to input your password to temporarily drop the shield, as soon as you stop looking through it on your phone and back out this device/camera it closes the shield. This means you cannot get snippets of what the camera last captured like you can with all the other arlo cameras. It is very nice to see the snippet of all your devices from the device menu, but not with this camera. There is no preview, and it captures nothing, at all because the shield is closed 24/7. Its only of use when you want to see what is going on live at that moment, and thats it. The older cheaper version is way more useful than this one. If this was the only camera you had, and someone breaks into your house, it will capture NOTHING, because the shield. POOR DESIGN/FUNCTIONALITY

   Nice Camera
   I was pleasantly surprised that the set up for this camera was very intuitive and easy that walks you through step by step. Easy connection to Wi-Fi. The size is also perfect. The only minor issue I had was with the privacy shield, but customer support was able to help right away. Be sure to “Arm Away” to remove the privacy shield and to be able to detect movement. So far good camera and would purchase again.
