    Nice multitool
I have a version that doesn’t have the variable speed but needed another. Decided to get the variable speed version. Grip is nice, actually do use the variable speed. Easy to use, good value

    Good price, adequate tool
Going back and forth between two work sites, several states apart, leads to frequent frustration., “Rats, the thingamajig is at the other site!” After finding myself without a multitool when needed, I decided to buy this Ryobi version. I already have several Ryobi tools. I have Ryobi batteries and chargers at both sites. This Ryobi version was worth a shot to cover the second location.
Bottom line up front: Decent tool, worked well. Just one gripe: blade changes. You need a 5 mm hex wrench. They included a 5 mm hex wrench with the tool, but I just don’t walk around with hex wrenches in my pocket, you know? The traditional solution is to leash the changing tool, like a chuck key, to the cord of the tool — which does not work with a battery-powered tool. Aside from the wrench, I had difficulty with getting each blade seated and snugged. Repeatedly the blade slipped as soon as I started using it. Once I got the blade truly seated, it stayed put. Still trying to get that right on the first try, every time.
Once the blade was right, this thing is a workhorse. Worked fine with the batteries I had, which is key because this tool comes naked (no battery). Battery life was fine. Used mostly Bosch blades which fit fine and had their usual long life in action. The weight of the tool was fine. The LED light worked nicely. Really, I would give it five stars except for the challenge of mounting blades and using the 5 mm hex wrench. That’s why this is only four stars.
To be fair, my other multitool is a Fein. The cord was damaged so I replaced it with a long, Arctic-type blue cord. Love that, by the way. But blade changes with the Fein are great. Lift the lever on top, remove old blade, mount new blade, close lever. Piece of cake. Works every time. Like, EVERY time. Possibly a little more power but I have not used them side by side, that’s just an impression.
Amazon asks three specific questions as part of the review. In this case:
    1. Battery life: 5 stars. Plenty long battery life, and you should have two batteries anyway.
    2. Value for money: 5 stars. This is a strong point with Ryobi tools. Where I have multiple similar tools, i naturally reach for the Bosch, DeWalt, Hitachi/Metabo, or Festool version, with the Ryobi coming in second. Where I have just the Ryobi tool, I’m always well satisfied. Clearly, Ryobi delivers a lot of value for the dollar compared to the more expensive brands. I’m not knocking Ryobi at all.
    3. Thickness: What? How do you rate the “thickness” of a multitool? It fit fine in my hand but your hand is different. With the battery attached it is a little longer than a corded version but as long as it gets in where needed, who cares? I did not rate “thickness” for this multitool.
So, it’s a decent tool. Easily earns four stars. With a different blade attachment it would be 5 stars. Clearly, good bang for your buck.
I hope this review was helpful and worth your time to read it.

  7. Donald Scherry

    Tool
    Great

  8. D. Campbell

    Nice Tool
My first oscillating tool. Works as expected and of course the Ryobi One system is great, not needing a variety of chargers and batteries. Bare tool is all I needed and I am happy with the product. This tool comes with three wood cutting blades, which is nice. I purchased a Diablo metal cutting blade for a specific small project and it went well!

  9. Pro procurement

    Muy bueno
Lo malo té queda vibraciones en las manos después🙃

  10. Rich

  11. Roberto Avila

Útil para cortes de dificil acceso.
