Fits perfectly, works.
Part itself was as described, fit perfectly in my rheem criterion ii furnace. Worked when turned on. Had my 19yr old son do the swap using YouTube videos for reference. HVAC company wanted $1700! Easy DIY.

The Real Deal!
I got this as a “used Amazon Warehouse Deal”, so this review is not exactly for “new in the box” It came in a used motor box with crushed molded cardboard packing & a hole poked in the end by the shaft, no instructions, & no mounting screws. The screw holes had never had screws in them & the shaft flat was pristine & had never had a set screw in it, so the motor was essentially brand new except for someone returning it.Getting the fan off the old/original motor in my 1993 Ruud UGDG-07EAMGR Gas Furnace was a multi-day struggle involving liquid wrench Radiator Specialty Co L104 Liquid Wrench & physical violence. My fan bushing was a very tight fit to the motor shaft & hammering on the motor shaft mushroomed it to the point where it would not go thru the fan bushing. Some filling & voilà – it was off. Washed the fan housing & squirrel cage; no reason to leave a 25 year accumulation of crude to mess up the fan’s balance. Resembled using the old motor’s short screws & a new capacitor with a little extra voltage margin Aerovox Z50S4415M – 15 uF MFD x 440 VAC Genteq Replacement Capacitor Oval # C415L / 97F9625. Probably not necessary, but inexpensive & a little extra margin never hurt anything. The old motor had fat wires coming out of two holes & L shaped lugs. The new motor had thin wires coming out of one hole with uninsulated straight lugs. As several control board connections were really close to each other, I put shrink wrap on all the lugs to keep them from shorting.Turned the AC on & the motor was much quieter than the old one. Happy Camper.26 August 2024 update. Six years later & still running like a champ & still quiet. Happy Camper!

Told the motor was bad.
After installing this and a new capacitor, called repairman because what else could it be? Told the motor was bad.

Quality part for a job that really sucks. Hint for doing the job included in review!
I have two units in my home. I ordered this part from this company to replace one of the blowers that failed totally. This part was top quality. After installing it, I now see how loud the other original blower motor is! LOL! I checked the other original, and it also has oil visible. The originals both made it 20 years in Texas, so I’m going ahead and ordering a second one from this company to swap out the last original. My opinion, don’t cheap out on the capacitor and make sure you spend the money to get a quality one. Always replace the capacitor at the same time. Isn’t owning a home fun?! This is why men don’t live as long as women, we have to deal with BS like this. OH, and helpful hint here……You see that long metal shaft? It goes through the squirrel cage and spins it. You will see the one square nut you remove, but then you will not be able to get the shaft to slide out of the hole. Get a can of PB Blaster, use the red tube to spray PB Blaster INTO the hole that you removed the one square locking nut your removed. Spray PB Blaster onto the shaft. LET IT SIT. The longer it sits, the better it does its job. On mine, I had to wait until the next day, but then I was able to stick a screw driver in through the cooling slits in the sides of the dead electric motor and stop the inside of the motor from being able to spin. THEN, I could grab the squirrel cage (wear gloves, its sharp) and FORCE it to turn. This broke them free from each other. Then, hit the shaft with a rubber mallet, and it slid off. Otherwise, you have to buy a special tool that you will use once every 20 years. GOOD LUCK!

Nice Drop-in replacement for my RUUD blower motor
As others have noted this repair can be a chore if the old motor has gotten stuck on the squirrel cage hub…penatrating oil and some elbow grease work to get the old motor off. But after that the replacement was smooth. Pull the old motor brackets off, put it on the new motor on, clean up your squirrel cage with a wire brush (best to not use water unless you blow it out with air thoroughly, otherwise you can get the shaft to rust and make it hard to get out) and polish up the hub to get out any dirt or rust, spray some penetrating oil on the shaft to protect it from moisture, put it back on the blower mount, wire it up and the job is done. The motor itself is quiet and fired right up. Very happy with this motor.

Perfect fit and quiet
Easy install and fit great. Really quiet. Made in Mexico just like the OEM. So far so good after 2 months.

Works but noisy
Replaced motor and capacitor. Fits perfectly (wires aren’t as heave as OEM motor) but I am getting a whine which I believe are the bearings. Re positioned the blower wheel hoping to take load off of motor but the whine still persists. It is in the 90s here (already spent four hot sleepless nights waiting for the motor to arrive) and I cannot wait for shipping motor back now and a replacement being sent, I will do so when it is cooler and hope there are no hassles.

Put old fan on and is now running great.. quiet
Confused about counter-clockwise direction…hooked up ( only way/cannot reverse wiring- unit is sealed) and unit ran clock-wise looking at it with shaft pointing at me…anyway bought a ccw blowerfan to match and it wasnt needed..Put old fan on and is now running great..quiet , would like to have seen 12g leads instead of what I believe is 16gGood buy….
