    Amazing Saw
This saw is fabulous! It makes cutting such a simple pleasure. It’s called a Pruning saw but does far more than that. No more hand saws or SawsAll for larger branches or wood. Beats the hell out of the larger corded Homelite electric chain saw I have. There’s no contest.
It makes a clean cut and cuts well. It has a safety button to prevent accidental activation and a really nice plastic sleeve for the blade itself when not in use. It took a bit for me to realize (I’m completely new to electric saws), but I can turn it on with one hand. It’s easy to hold and control with one hand, although it does have a secondary handle for two handed use. And it’s small enough for tight spots or close-to-the-target cuts. There’s almost no kickback when using from top down. I haven’t tried an upstroke cut, but I used it horizontally to cut some stumps that weren’t close enough to the ground and had no problem controlling it with both hands. Just keep the blade at a right angle to what you’re cutting as you should do with ANY saw.
Everything was simple to use. The saw did NOT come with the oil it requires. But the battery charged in less than a day, so by the time I got some oil it was ready to go. The oil reservoir level is easy to see as is the battery power level. And they say the saw won’t work if the battery charge isn’t sufficient, so you wont get a slow moving chain. I’m not familiar with how much oil a chain saw should use or have remaining on it’s blade but this doesn’t look any different than the HomeLite saw it’s replacing. And of course I haven’t messed with the chain itself but the nut wrench is stored out of the way on the saw and the directions appear simple to follow.
The battery is a little awkward to remove. You have to squeeze the sides near the top of where the battery attaches to the saw while simultaneously pulling the battery out. It works but they could have designed something better, like maybe a half-turn and lock.
Overall I like it, I’d buy it again, I’m glad I bought it and I’d recommend it. These Milwaukee tools are pretty darn good.

    Great tool for smaller jobs
I love having this little tool. It is small and easy to handle, but cuts so well. I have trimmed al kinds of things without having to wait on my husband to get the chain saw out. It gets into tight spaces much better and i don’t tire so quickly. The battery has lasted quite a while. I didn’t really take note of the hours, but I worked all weekend trimming trees without having to recharge. The oil reservoir has to be watched as it seems to run out pretty quickly, but it is easy to fill and get going again.

    Very impressive little saw
Surprised by how well it buzzes through about anything and also by how long the battery lasts!…..only complaint is that the battery is difficult to remove, like some of my other Milwaukee tools

  4. Jacob Madrzykowski

    Great tool light weight.
Great cutting ability. Not noisy like a gas engine. Yes it cost a lil bit but it’s Milwaukee so you know it’s great quality. Easy to use and easily portable. I love it for everything I have tried to use it on so far.

This little saw should sell for a million bucks!
I am a 4’10” senior lady living in rural SW VA on 9 heavily wooded acres. I do not have the arm strength to handle a full size chain saw. A friend of mine had been raving about hers, and let me borrow it. It’s tiny but MIGHTY. Since all my other power tools are Black and Decker 20V models, I was skeptical of the power of this 12V one. Not to worry. And the battery lasts a really long time. Now, instead of getting a neighbor to cut branches and medium to small sized limbs, I can do them myself. Great product.

    Great saw, bad oil cap
Love this saw but the oil cap comes out. Apparently Milwaukee knows the problem.

  7. Scott C. Miller

    I love it.
    Works great.

  8. Eric Stevens

Less fatigue and gets the small jobs done
If you are use to handling a regular 18″ of 20″ inch bar gas saw this 6″ bar is nubby cute short but controllable speed with little kickback. The chain is very tight on the bar from the factory and leave it at that setting for the first attempt, the chain will stretch with a slight space after it heats. Chain was sharp and maintained tooth edge for over two hours of cutting up small branches. Weight is great while holding it for a while with no fatigue like a heavier saw will.
Had issue using the selector push button and trigger with work gloves, it is sort of a push to the side while holding the trigger up style, had to use my bare hand to press the trigger.
People say these will leak excessively at the oil cap but if you store these saws on their sides with the oil reservoir upward I think it is the best solution. It is part of the live and let live while using chainsaws.
