Shure Microphone – Review
The Shure microphone sounds amazing! I am using it for a studio, and it works perfectly. The sound is clear and professional.
It is great for new singers because it is easy to use.

The greatest all-around performance mic ever made… period.
I have used this legendary microphone for over 50-years as a working professional, and it has NEVER let me down, even once, and I was a traveling rock drummer doing one-night stands for most of my life. Not only does it sound great, but it is as tough as NAILS, always and important consideration during the grueling pressures of live performance (in a pinch, it will even double as a hammer). I always buy the one with the ON/OFF switch, as it instantly stops any feedback problems, as well as silencing the mic from any unwanted noises. While some people seem to be worried about the addition of an on off switch as far as reliability is concerned, they simply don’t know what they’re talking about. I have only needed two of these mics for my entire professional career, AND NOT A SINGLE SWITCH EVER FAILED TO FUNCTION OR WAS EVER DAMAGED FROM HEAVY USE. This fear is totally unfounded, as well as any mistaken belief that a switch interferes with the sound quality… it doesn’t.
P.S. I just purchased a Sennheiser e945 as a possible upgrade to this mic, and I HATED it. The feedback issues were horrific (particularly with no on-off switch to deal with it), it was twice as heavy, and worse still, my vocals just didn’t sound as good, from top to bottom.
P.P.S. Today, Labor Day 2022 I was doing a live gig outdoors, when I actually tripped over the mic cord and the mic slammed directly into the concrete, HARD. I was a little worried since this was my only mic, but of course, the 58 came through beautifully, with just a little dent in to windscreen. When you career depends on it, leave it to Shure to come through, every time.

Good Reliable Microphone
This microphone is an industry standard. The on/off switch is definitely a good feature. You canât go wrong!

Classic, Timeless, Microphone
I was ten years old when this microphone was introduced in 1966. I went into the sound industry ten years later and have been specifying, selling, providing and using this microphone since then. It is a consistent performer. In fact, I have never had one fail, even though the grill has been badly dented. New grills are cheap, and make your mic look great again. These are fairly immune to handling noise, and the cardiod pickup pattern is consistent across the bandwidth and really reduces feedback. Yeah, cheaper mics that look the same are available, but they simply do not measure up to the consistent performance of this mic. I highly recomend!

The Best Microphone Ever!!!!
I love my mic! The sound quality is flawless! The mic quality is the industry standard! This mic is used in just about every recording you’ve ever heard, by just about every famous musician, as well as in every concert you’ve been to! It is heavy enough, but not too heavy, and has lots of value for the money. It is not too expensive for a professional microphone. And Shure is the best company for microphones. Highly recommended! Comes with a case too!

Great mic for vocals, best sounding mike I have used . Have tried ones from this to very expensive. As good as ones I have tried that were 300.00.

Tough, reliable and great sounding mic. I decided to get the version with an on/off switch as occasionally running into feedback without having one is not fun. being able to quickly kill the mic is very useful.

I’ve had a Shure SM58 for years and it is still going strong, a few years ago I needed to add another mic to my kit and bought a much cheaper one which we muddled through with but you can’t beat quality and I purchased another of these making making me much happier again
