Overall a great product.
I liked the feel of the unit, it felt solid. Changing the rotation of the ends was very easy. I used this to mount a fairly heavy Audio-Technica U855QL goose neck mic to a Allen&Heath QU-24 mixer (the port is on the back and there is not enough length and/or flexibility on any mic I could find to make the bend without a right angle adapter) and the connection feels fairly solid. That said, the ‘fairly solid’ part alludes to what I perceive as a somewhat sloppy fit (I know this is a subjective statement and tests the limits of manufacturing tolerances across multiple manufactures). A very minor detractor to an otherwise excellent product.I would recommend this for any similar uses.

Great little item
I needed two of these so that I could fit my 16 channel mixer into my rack case.and leave the XLR output cords attached. The fact that these are so adjustable made it possible. They are good quality build as well. The order arrived quickly as well.

Works as advertised.
Works as advertised. Iâm using it with an MXL 7000 condenser mic. The mic is in a âpill micâ form factor (like the old RCA DX-77) with a yolk mount. So using an XLR cable forced me to tilt the mic in the mount about 30 degrees or so. While this adapter doesnât fit inside the yolk entirely, it did allow me to greatly reduce the angle that Iâm forced to tilt the mic by about 50 percent or more. If I was using the mic upright on a mic stand, this probably wouldnât be an issue anyway; however, Iâm hanging my mic inverted on a Rode PSA1 boom.Iâm not disappointed with this adapter. It works. The screws are softer metal so tighten the screws gently. The screws are just there to keep the jacks from slipping out of the housing. You donât need to be Hercules on these little screws. It wonât take much to strip them.

Great product except…
Great idea for an XLR adapter. Just be VERY CAREFUL when the retaining screw id removed. When I first pulled the end plug to rotate it, it was very stiff and hard to get out. When I pulled a lot harder, it did come out but I almost pulled the wires off the tip connectors. It is hard wired so the end plug can be rotated but be careful NOT to pull the wires loose when removing.

This little device is clever, simple, and works perfectly.I read some other reviews regarding it potentially being delicate to unscrew and change the orientation of one or both of the XLR connectors, but using ordinary care it was very easy to do this. (A Phillips screwdriver is needed for the screw, and a pair of needle nose pliers is very helpful for gently slipping the connector in and out of the adapter.)A pleasant surprise was that there were TWO adapters in the package. $20 for one adapter was pricey but still worth spending for the flexibility. $20 for two, however, was a good deal — nothing to complain about.Highly recommended!

An XLR Connector for Tight Quarters
This right angle XLR feed through is great for tight spaces, where a standard XLR connector just won’t fit (It’s about 1/2 the length of a standard in-line XLR plug). And the specific orientation of the connections can be easily and quickly reconfigured with a small screwdriver to 4 differing orientations to facilitate access to connecting and disconnecting an XLR plug/receptacle. Anyone who does any type of audio installations, site setups, or remote location work should definitely have several of these items in their kit, because they can be an invaluable solution to quirky connection issues, especially in tight spaces. It’s a cost effective solution.

Pros: Works fine.Cons: None so far.Buy again ? – Heck yeah!My use case: I have a small portable rack to control my DMX lighting, using a very common DMX controller. The rear XLR hookup for DMX is designed in a way that seems very friendly for desk use, with the connector popping straight out.That said, once you setup the aforementioned controller in a rack, you find yourself in a pickle, as the DMX connector will be in the way. So, unless the unit is set on the top of a rack with empty space above it, or the unit going above is it less than 1″ inch thick. (Not likely). You need a solution to avoid losing a rack space.This little XLR Angle Adapter solves the problem in a very elegant fashion. Because the length of connection via the adapter is so short, it does not cause any impedance problems on my setup, and let my fill-up my rack properly without wasting a U space with a blank plate.This little unit saved me from having to purchase another rack, an expensive proposition for such a small detail causing a serious problem.Picture shows the cleaned-up kit. PIP shows the problem the angle adapter solved.
