Good fit
This lined up great to my 02 sf forester. Although I ended up welding it on cause my other flanges were messed up. 5 stars

Does Not FIT 1999 Forester
If I could give it a zero I would. Somehow, everyone is making this pipe wrong. The resonator is too far from the cat and does not fit in the formed area under the car. Immediately at the flange at the cat, the pipe is bent in exactly the opposite direction of where it should be. The next bend past the resonator is clocked wrong and it points down to the ground instead of bending within the depression created for the pipe to fit into. You can see in the photo that the pipe hangs down away from the car and toward the ground reducing clearance by 2-3 inches. FIX THIS WALKER!!!

Resonator For Early 02 Subaru Forester
I purchased this Resonator for my early 02 Subaru Forester. I needed an entire exhaust system from just behind the Cat ConverterShipping was very quick & in great shape 3-days to my door & that was using the standard method 5/8 days free shipping. The repair took roughly 45mins to an hour as I also took the time to paint the new parts with BBQ Hi-Heat blackin an effort to prolong the life of the exhaust. Plan that your going to break the bolts at the back of the converter& the resonator flanges not to worry if you order the following parts you’ll be in great shape.List of Walker parts used found here at Amazon to complete this very quick repair.31357-Gasket (Cat Converter To Resonator Flange)35129-Spring/Bolt kit55231-Resonator31388-Gasket (Resonator to Muffler Flange)54315-Muffer (Stainless Quiet-Flow)35959-Exhaust Sealing Compound35725-Insulator x4 (I ordered to be safe may not need these 4-insulators just like me, as, I found all 4 of mine in great shape)Side note you will need to visit either your local hardware or auto parts store for 2 Nuts & Bolts (1/2inch Bolt 1.5inch long)to connect the Resonator to Muffler flangeAlso whiles I was at the hardware store I picked-up a pair of nuts having washers machined on them to replace the 2 nuts that came with the Spring/Bolt kit thus matching the original Subaru assemblyYou will notice the hangers on the new parts are solid rods unlike the Subaru hangers whiles looking very different are welded on & at the correct positions to work withboth the original 4-insulators or new if you decide to replace the 4-insulators.

Lasting ok.
After 4 years, this part shows rusting wherever welds have been made to it, and also in a line all along the bottom, but it’s thick enough that it’s still solid with no pinholes yet. For me, it’s holding up adequately; just wish Walker’s mufflers lasted as well.

not alligned
doesn’t allign at right angle to catalytic converter. with pipe loosely attached to muffler- which is in correct position- and hanger engaged in rubber loop, flange to cat is off by about 20 degrees. will have to detach from muffler + allign+ attach at cat, and then hope everything can be pulled around to attach muffler. what a pain. can’t be to specs of original equipment. buy something else.

After 18 years in Maryland the poor exhaust was totally rotted out
Replaced my factory exhaust with this. After 18 years in Maryland the poor exhaust was totally rotted out. I had replaced the front half when I had the engine out last year, but I developed an exhaust leak recently and had to do the rest. Pretty decent fit.
