    Pole saw
    Highly recommendWorks geat

    Lighter duty, but super awesome.
Extremely useful. Probably won’t hold up to super hard use for very long, but for your suburban yard or whatever you’d probably be set for life(Don’t use it to cut fire wood or frame your deck or anything). Battery doesn’t last a super long time but plenty to make many cuts. (I only cut up to 4 inch(maybe) limbs, mostly smaller; both hard and soft woods.)

    Works good.
Chain gets jammer quite often but I work through it and gets the job done. Great Value

    Not perfect but reasonably effective
Was ready for bar oil and a battery and a job to do … cut small branches easily and did not bounce much unless it was nearly straight up perpendicular to the ground. Not sure this can be fixed but opportunities for improvement might solve a few things for me A- the telescope pole on my saw tended to collapse a bit, shortening the reach. I may not have tightened something but I thought the cam levers would lock the extensions in place…. but gravity and vibration was stronger than the cam lock friction. B- It’s pretty heavy feeling when trying to go a little higher by extending one’s arms. C- due to the weight of the motor and blade assembly, it would be difficult to control if the unit had 20-30 feet of extension poles….. so it’s limited to about 10-12 feet of elevation..,. including about 5 feet from ground to shoulders…, and about 5-7 feet from the saw itself….. depending on how much risk you take by moving the saw closer to perpendicular. D-When the pole is at a 30-40 degree angle ..,you really feel the weight of the saw when the branch supporting the saw is fully cut and it falls. The saw falls and the leverage of the pole exaggerates the weight.

    An incredible piece of junk
Very under powered. The chain teeth grab the limb, binds and then strips gears. To get started, you must hold all the weight of the saw off the limb. ( yes I know what I’m doing) Chain rotates too slowly to cut cleanly. Also, oil leaks everywhere. Buyer beware!

    Good for around the yard
There’s been several reviews that mention the chain coming undone, yes, that happened to me too, but only once or twice. After you learn how to tension the chain, it doesn’t happen much after that. You do have to take a safety cover off the saw to access the chain and put it back into place, if you’re good around tools, it’s not rocket science to do. It says the saw has “auto tensioning”, if mine does, it might not be working right. After a few cuts, I adjust the chain anyway just to be safe. I found that after awhile, the tension stayed constant, so maybe auto tensioning does work after all. It doesn’t come with chain oil, so you have to buy that, it doesn’t cost much, but if you’re going to use this once in awhile anyway, a quart should last you. It’s WAY lighter than the other pole saws that are basically just a small electric chainsaw mounted on a pole. The saw does NOT remove from the end of the pole like some others do. Even though it’s pretty light weight, you still have to find the balance spot on the pole to keep control of it. It would’ve been nice if WORX built in some kind of neck strap. Now the best part, if you already have 20v WORX tools, the battery WILL fit this saw. You can buy JUST the saw and save a few bucks. I was able to make MANY cuts without changing or charging the battery ! Nice, very nice. It’s NOT a pro grade pole saw, but for a little DIY tree trimming around the house, I got my moneys worth.

This pole saw is a bit cumbersome.
This saw has a lot of reach, that’s the good part. I think it extends out to about 13 feet from about 10 feet. I would like to see it go down to about 6 feet for lower limbs. The chain appears to be special for the saw, at least it is narrower than a regular chainsaw chain. It cuts OK. I don’t like they way the motor for the saw is mounted right behind the saw blade. It tends to obscures view of the saw blade. I had a Green Works pole saw that I liked better in many ways. The saw blade was as visible as a regular chainsaw blade. I think the motor was at the back of the pole. I had the Green Works with an 80 volt battery. That was a lot more saw than I needed or could handle well. It got destroyed in a shed fire. My advice, size up what you need a pole saw for and how often you are likely to use it, then buy accordingly (better yet, borrow your neighbor’s). For most of us, we are only going to use one occasionally,

The saw worked for about 30 seconds (long enough to cut a 1 and 1/2 thick branch) and now the chain wont turn at all. I took the casing off and re-aligned the chain, per the manual. Still nothing – just makes aa “whirring” sound when a pull the switch – as the the gear is completely stripped. Has anyone else had this issue? Any solutions?

** Update** I chatted with Customer Support on Monday and they immediately sent out a new one. So I updated the review with a couple stars for their excellent service. Absolutely no hassle at all.First time I used it I thought it was great cut through branches great. Using the weight of the saw was an advantage for cutting branches but useless for topping off small trees. Went to use it this morning and it stripped a gear or something. Now I’m trying customer support and have to call during business hours just to get my complaint heard. Bought a few worx tools over the last few years an really loved them. They need to rethink this whole design. Because I was disappointed that you can’t lose the pole and use it as a handheld, I bought a cheap 8in handheld that came with 2 batteries for $100 and that can saw through 8 inch trees!!! Very disappointed of the quality of this product since I bought into the Worx name. Hopefully they will stand behind it but it ain’t helping me with what I wanted to do today.
