Runs silent in idle, extremely cool under load. Very quiet. Overclocks easily. Very long card.
Certainly the best card I’ve ever had so far. No problems on arrival. The card seemed to sag more than what I was used to, so I was convinced I was improperly seating it. However I bolted it in and it held in place just fine, and works great, so perhaps just a very heavy card.Overclocks to 2150 easy (could probably push it harder but I just haven’t needed to even with 120hz monitor) using ROG GPU Tweak II, shadowplay has no affect on framerate, playing everything at max settings almost always hitting at least 60fps (some dips to 50 in GTA V but this is maxed out with all the extra settings), but 100+ fps in many cases (depends on the game and settings) at 1080p. I’m sure this thing can handle 1440p no problem. 4k may be a different story without needing to adjust settings, but then you also run into issues with a GTX 1080 as well at 4k.Idling at 36c with zero fan speed (room temperature 23c). Usually between 50-55c under max load and overclocked, max 60c under 3dmark. These fans are pretty amazing. I did not do fur test so I’m sure it could be pushed hotter. The card is really long as with most modern GPUs. I’m using it in a Cooler Master HAF 912 case. I needed to remove the middle drive bay to fit it but that’s fine as those bays were always unused. My last card was an AMD R9-280x and I had to remove the bay for that to fit as well. Double check your case size before you order, and make sure you can make adjustments to your case if you need to.

Awesome Card!
This card is simply amazing. I used it for a brand new PC build and it is quite the beauty. If you don’t want to shell out more money for the GTX 1080, this is the card you want. It is one of the fastest in the 1070 series you can get.The card is very big, so if you have a mid-tower, you will need to remove the HD cage/holders in order to make space for it. I got the NZXT H440 case and it looks beautiful in it.Here are my Pros and Cons list.Pros:Super fast, but of course not as fast as the 1080 version.(Eg) Runs Battlefield 4 on Ultra settings 1080p between 180-200 frames per second.Fans are quite. They do not spin if the card is not getting warm. You can customize this and set the fan speeds as well.Easy to overclock. This is the OC edition so using the Asus Tweak software you can easily make profiles and change them whenever. The RGB lights look nice. There are different customization and modes you can use.The card is cooled excellently and never became too warm under heavy load. Most games run smoothly in the highest settings in 1080p or 1440p.Cons: (Not much here)I think the card is a bit overpriced now and it will go down after the stores get well stocked. You have to install the Aura software for the card separately than the Tweak software, and at first it did not want to work for some reason. After a while it started to work. No idea why. It would have also been better if the Aura program was implemented into Tweak.Overall very satisfied with my purchase. I will update this review if something comes up.If you want a this card do purchase it from Amazon directly instead of buying for the higher prices to get them faster. You might have to wait couple of weeks before it arrives though.

The best buy for your money (matches or beats a stock 1080)
Overview:This is an amazing GPU and is the best bang for the buck deal you can get. At $500 or less this card can compete with the 1080. It does come down to the silicon lottery sometimes, but ASUS guarantees these cards to have a minimum clock so it’s more than likely you’ll be able to push it even further (but your mileage may vary). For any hardcore gamer, graphic designer, CAD developer, or content creator this should be your go to card. The Pros:Sports an out of the box 1860Mhz boost clock (I’ve OCed mine to 1950Mhz base clock 1952Mhz boost)Highly competitive with the GTX 1080 (fantastic VR, 60fps games at 1440p 21:9)Fantastic render times for content creators using Adobe Premier Pro or Sony VegasTri-fan cooler keeps temps bellow 54C at max loads during stress tests.Looks great with Aura RGB for display piece cases or builds. This can accent and make any build pop.The Cons:With a higher base and boost clock the card does draw “slightly” more power but it’s generally not noticeable unless your PSU is already being taxed to heavily.(I’ve only noticed this on my card) There is a slight whining from the fan when the card is run on synthetic bench tests for more than 30 minutes at full load. This shouldn’t be an issue in general but may grow worse over time and it is worth noting that some cards may experience this.In Conclusion:This card is flat out Amazing and it receives our Editors choice award (we didn’t even have one of those until now). More readily available than the GTX 1080 (any model) and a fraction of the cost with almost all (if not more) of the performance this card is the golden sweet spot that everyone looks for in their next PC build or upgrade. Give this card a gold medal because ASUS has stepped their game up once again and doesn’t disappoint.

Neatly packaged. The hardware was easily installed, though you will need to give it a good looking over before installing as it’s got covers and plugs on all the ppaces you kinda don’t want there to be, like the connectors and outs (the outs especially dpuble check, the hdmi covers got caught in the case a little. There was one real issue. The cd with the drivers on weren’t recognised by windows “Please insert a disc into the drive” had to go online and download the drivers. Bit annoying when you drop that kind of money on hardware.

I’m still on 1080p so this card is a bit overkill for any game on this resolution but I’d rather have overkill than have a card that underperforms. It’s more expensive than other 1070s but ASUS is the go-to for GPUs due to high quality parts and a completely automated manufacturing process.LEDs are really nice too. There are no coloured accents on the card that are not LED.If you want a card that will last a long time and runs great on 1080p/1440p then look no further.
