Will be handy when the power goes out or we are out and about
This is a pretty neat idea. We donât camp, but this would be perfect for this. Not only do you have a chargeable battery to use, but a solar means to charge it. Brilliant really. Mind you, you need the sun to do that and right now in Western NY in the winter we are finding a dearth of that. But, thankfully you can charge this the same as you would any standby battery (using your house electric) and have it full when you need it.
What you get is:
**** The battery itself
**** USB- C cable & Transformer to charge it with
**** A solar panel that folds up
**** A cable to connect the solar panel to the converter box
**** A converter box that connects to the solar panel.
**** Separate manuals for the solar panel and the battery
The battery has a handle to carry it with and various inputs/outputs in the front
There is a light on the side. You need to turn the battery on and push the light button to use this.
The power button turns on the battery for all uses. This turns on the display in front and shows the battery charge status. This also will show if the battery is being charged and how long for a full charge.
You have a standard (US style 3 prong) outlet output with a cover. It needs to have the battery turned on and the AC button pressed.
There are 3 USB connections: Standard size USB (QC 3.0), USB-C and USC (PD 100w(in/out)). To charge this with the USB-C to wall connector it goes in the bottom port.
There is one Input port (18-24V) that matches the one that comes off the solar panel, you can either use this or the USB-C cable that can come from the converter box.
Then there is a standard lighter style output outlet DC 12V 8A, typical in cars.
One comment looking at the physical design is that the standard US outlet has a nice cover, but the socket for the typical lighter jack is uncovered. Granted it is not electrified unless sprung, there still is the opportunity for stuff to get stuck in there. My car has covers on these jacks, why doesnât this? A wine cork fits nicely to keep this clean.
You donât have to turn it on to charge it. When you plug something into charge the display automatically turns on.
The solar panel folds up and out easily. It even can be propped up with an extendable arm. Folding it up, there are snaps to keep it secure. As I mentioned earlier, the sun has not been out much but one day we had it charging outside.
We tried this battery powering a 60W incandescent bulb for an hour. It went from 100% to 66%. Since a 60W bulb is pretty rare these days, you will have a much longer life of the battery. My 60W equivalent LED bulbs are generally 3-6W at the most.
We had this battery and solar system outside and we did get it to charge but with the icy weather and sparse sun it would have taken days. Mind you, it was in the back of our house so not optimal.
We found with the solar panel converter box, you could charge things directly without going through the battery and tried that with our phones.
Based on what we read this likely could not power a refrigerator (due to the compressor start up requirements), but could run lights, charge phones etc.
So in summary, this is a very flexible system. No complaints on its function and looking forward to using it.

Complete portable solar power station
The BALDR portable solar power station comes with the power station, a folding 60W solar panel, solar panel cable, solar panel power puck, and 100W A/C wall charger with USB-C charging cable; everything you need! The power station measures about 7 1/4″ W x 6 1/4″ T x 5 1/2″ D and weighs 6.04 lb. The folding solar panel is about 10″ x16″ folded and unfolds to 40″ x 16″ and weighs about 3.17 lb.
The power station has a 120V 300W outlet (450W surge), a 12V @8A cigarette port, a USB-A QC 3.0 port (capable of 5v@3A, 9V@2A, 12V@1.5A (18W max)), a USB-C port (capable of 5V@3A, 9V@3A, 12V@2.5A (30W max)) and a USB-C in/out port (5V@3A, 12V@3A, 12V@3A, 15V@3A, 10V@5A (100W max)). It also has a flashlight on the side that can flash SOS.
Testing the A/C outlet showed 122.7 V at 60 Hz and was pure sine wave. Charing the power station from the included solar panel showed 46V DC and would take 2.3 hours from being 52% charged. You could charge it faster with a 100W solar panel if desired. To charge it from A/C, you plug the USB-C cable into the charger and into the bottom USB-C (in/out) port of the unit. They include a power puck to charge cell phone and other USB equipment direct from the solar panel.
This is a good package, ideal for camping, boating or in case of power failure. The 300W power station will not run a large appliance (like a fridge), but can run lights, flat screen TV, PC or charge USB equipment (cell phone, tablets, etc.). How long will it power things??? It depends on your power draw/consumption. A 10W LED light can run about 28 hours.

Solar power outlet
I opened the box which had a foldable solar panel and a box that looks like a radio that has a 3 prong outlet for a tv or laptop a usb and type c charger port. The Solar charging level is in front it has a cord that connects the panel to the box. It said to place it in the sunniest place for optimal charge it would still charge in a not so sunny place but it would take longer to charge said the instructions. I placed it outside on my porch in the sun all day and it did not charge. It was 55% charge when I opened the box and turned it on and after being outside all day and I brought it back inside it was still on 55%. I donât know why it never chargered I did what the instructions said yet it didnât charge like I was hoping.

Works great.
This power station and solar panel combo is a must have in my opinion. The build quality of this power station is great. It has a very rugged and durable design. I really like the size of of it making it very popular and perfect for travel.
One of the things that I like about this portable power station is it’s charging speeds. It recharges very fast compared to some other solar chargers that I’ve had. It also does a great job at fast charging my devices like my samsung note 20 ultra and my iphone 15 pro max. Also it able to charge my MacBook pro with no problem. The solar panel works pretty good but I mostly just use ac to recharge it. Overall for the price, I think this is a very decent portable power station.
