    Oh yeah buddy
My 7 year old off brand electric mower died a slow death. So after much research I got this Craftsman mower. I didn’t realize how much easier life could be. My old mower was ok but seriously underpowered for the crabgrass and weeds that make up my big back yard. This Craftsman is 12 amps. Between the time my old mower died and my new one arrived, it was almost a month and several rainstorms later. This yard normaly gets mowed twice a week so by the time I got the Craftsman the weeds and crabgrass were knee high in some places. I thot about using the Weedeater to knock it down some but hey, what a test of a new mower. Ended up being pleasantly surprised. I could only do about a 4 inch swath each round, I had to empty the bag about every 10 or 12 feet and it did bog down a few times. But we’re talking about knee high weeds here. I’ve had the same results using my nieghbor’s expensive hi powered gas mower several years ago. And unbeknownst to me, the grass wasn’t as dry as I thot it was.It took 2 days (I had to quit due to the heat) but I got it done. A week later I mowed again and was amazed at how much easier it was than with my old mower. I cut a full 20 inch swath. This one is bigger, more powerful and the grass bag holds a really decent amount of clippings. And it’s way easy to put on and take off. My dogs like to pick up sticks and break them into pieces and leave them everywhere. The Craftsman hit these hidden gems and blasted right thru them. I have trumpet vine springing up everywhere. No problem, chewed them up and spit them out. My front yard is small and has mostly Burmuda and Buffalo grass and a million little sticks from the trees. I finished it in less than half the time it used to take. Going from a twelve inch wide cut to a 20 makes a world of difference. And this mower has the power to do it.I’ve only mowed 3 times with this, so time will tell. Since it is a Craftsman, I can get parts and service if I need it. I can mow one handed if I want to manage the cord with the other. Its lightweight enough to toss in the back of my SUV if need be. (And I’m a 67 year old woman with bad knees) My only complaint is supposedly you can break down the handle and store it under a shelf. Technically this is true, but the reality its it’s kind of a pain in the ass to undue the screws. So I probably won’t be doing that. It kinda sucks because that was one reason I bought this model, but hey, that’s my problem. It is rather loud but not as bad as a gas mower. All in all I’m very happy with it. It was easy to assemble right outta the box. Just be sure to have the proper gauge extention cord (I think mine is a 12 gauge, 50 feet long) and 10 minutes after you open the box, you’ll be mowing!!

Lightweight, Easy to Assembly, Works as Expected, wish it had a mulching blade!
This is a great mower so far, I have used it 3 times.. the one problem I have is the blade activation bar.. its uncomfortable to hold that down while mowing.. it will give your hand calluses.. Also, this mower does not have a mulching blade, so It will leave piles of grass on your lawn that you have to go back over on to mulch up. Also, if you use this mower in the morning on slightly wet high grass, it will bog down on you and it will throw your breaker. Other then that, it is very light weight, and easy to handle, does not need any self assist to push it.. It is also very stylish looking, love the black and the red color combo.. My one other concern is going to be the wheels.. I dont see that they will last for a long time, they look very cheap and flimsy, but so far they are holding up..

Worth it! CRAFTSMAN Electric Lawn Mower, 20-Inch, Corded, 13-Ah (CMEMW213), Red
This Review is for CRAFTSMAN Electric Lawn Mower, 20-Inch, Corded, 13-Ah (CMEMW213), Red. I decided to replace my ancient gas Craftsman w an electric. I was sure I would get a cordless but I have had so much trouble w batteries for power tools and blowers/edgers in addition to the research I did and high cost of batteries, I decided to give corded a try. My yard is mid-sized front and back. I had a lot of high weeds and sticks in the back where I grow wildflowers every spring/summer. This mower took them in stride no problem. Height is easy to adjust and mower is pretty light being easy to push. Turns out the cord is not a problem at all. I bought a good Orange 100’ cord. Just lay it out so it feeds to you as you progress across the yard. No batteries and no maintenance! No gas and no oil! I made the right decision. It cuts really well and I’d never buy a mower with less than a 20” cutting blade. It’s great.

    It does the job.
This machine is lightweight and quiet. Yes, it still makes a noise, but not like those gas-powered ones. When all the leaves fell off the trees, my husband did not want to rake them, so he used this mower to go over them. It picked it up like it was a vacuum. The capacity of the bag is not large, about the size of a 13-gal trash liner. Overall we are very happy with it.

    Update
So as my last review indicated, the lawnmower is extremely flimsy and I spoke about how it oddly lifted off the ground in the front. Discovered what the problem is. The bag feels up extremely fast and needs to be emptied at least twice during mowing. A tedious task. My back yard is not that big and my front yard is rather small yet, I had to stop to empty the bag twice in the front yard and 3 times in the back yard. With my old lawnmower, I could get through both front and back with one bag. Beware.I bought this to replace my Greenworks after is stopped working after only 9 months. I thought Craftsman would be a good choice. I was wrong. This thing is made completely of plastic; body, frame, and wheels. Very flimsy. So much so that I thought I would break it just assembling it. Assembly was so so. Not difficult and not particularly easy either. I used it for the first time yesterday. It was more than a chore. When set for a low cut, this thing is almost impossible to push. Set for a higher cut , it’s doable. For some odd reason, the front of the lawnmower won’t stay on the ground. I literally had to basically hold it in way that made the front stay down. I had to lift up on the back while cutting to keep the front down. Add an extension cord to it and the front comes completely off the ground and rests in a backward position. This thing is completely horrible but disassembling and returning would be too much of a hassle. Overall, I would not recommend this at all.

Overall good machine. Lacks power of more expensive machines with higher Amps, or of course gasoline powered ones, but this is a nice machine for smaller lawns. It is much quieter than gas powered ones and also avoids the need to fill up / smell. You do need to careful with the electric cord to avoid cutting it with the lawn mower itself.Key points: 1. Don’t set the height too low- the mower engine is not strong enough to handle even medium long lawns at this setting- if you want a really low cut lawn, first cut it medium, then low. . 2. Set up is easy, but the three settings of the length of the push bar is really long- so you need to set it to the shortest setting (using two screw knobs provided), 3. The handle that you need to pull for the engine to continue (for safety reasons) is very stiff. My wrist hurts after even cutting for a small while (10 minutes- female wrists!!). 4. The bag is tiny- I mean really small. You will need to empty this the bag frequently. For the price, it is good, especially as a started lawn mower and only if you have a small lawn. I would recommend.

I’ve used it many times now and it’s easy and very effective to use. Due to constant electrical power via attached cable.. it’s WAY more effective than my previous battery-powered mower which would lose juice fairly quickly and never quite had the power this 1 does. This really works consistently and super easy to use. it’s quite light yet solid. best mower I’ve owned for sure. 5/5 stars.

This electric mower offers really good value for the price. It’s easy to assemble, it’s easy to use, and, most importantly, it does a very good job of cutting the lawn. But there are also a few minor irritants that Craftsman could easily fix. Firstly, to operate, a thin bar must be pulled and held while mowing, and it is uncomfortable to hold because it is so thin and does not have a cover. My old mower had a plastic lever, which was much more comfortable. Secondly, the side discharge shoot is far too large, which interferes with cutting objects closely from the right side. It’s easy to remove, but Craftsman should just make this smaller. Thirdly, the bag for capturing clippings can only be attached when in use. My old mower allowed a user to hook the bag on the back with the rear port closed, which is a convenient place to store the bag when not in use. Lastly, the shape of the machine, though quite attractive 😉 isn’t very flat and doesn’t allow for the storage of an electric cord easily. I used to wrap mine and place it on the bag, but I can’t do that with this machine unless I always use the bag, which I don’t. I’ll probably have to buy a hook to hang the cord off the handle. Anyway, there are a few minor inconveniences, all of which could be fixed by Craftsman with better design, but I still highly recommend this mower. A solid 4 out of 5.
