Great Rack, Good Value, Has Some Quirks
I think this is a great rack for the money. We haul 2 e-bikes across town and have no issues. It’s solid with little vibration, and I feel it securely holds the bikes. Here are my 3 things they can improve:1. Assembly – On the up rods, there are shanks (plastic) that fit into the up rod poles. The purpose to ensure a tighter fit. These took me about 5 mins per pole to assemble and is frustrating. I assembled this by myself, so I was forced to hold two shanks into position while getting a bolt through the mounting bracket and the metal holes of the up rods. That makes six surfaces that must be aligned to get a bolt through. It’s not the end of the world, but just thought they could secure these at the factory for added assistance.2. The Bolt that Attaches the Ract to Hitch is a Screw – There are several comments on this, I would prefer a through bolt vs screw just for ease of “on-off”3. Holding Latches – These work great but they are plastic. I’m worried over time these will wear out and break. So far no issues, but a concern as more uses accumulate. In all, I’d recommend this rack, I don’t think you can beat it for the price. It’s sturdy, it’s easy to get the bikes on and off. The hitch on the rack allows it to fold up for parking, and fold away from the SUV to get into the vehicle. I have a 4Runner and it fits great and does not stick out at all on the sides, as some have mentioned.

Solid, heavy rack for heavy ebikes
I bought two 80+ lb ebikes (Ecells Five Star) so I needed a rack with adequate weight carrying capacity. Not feeling like spending upwards of $1,500 on one of the high-end racks, I researched and decided on this one. The center vertical support bars I believe provide the best stability vs the ones that have tire hoops only. It’s a good fit for our Infiniti QX60 SUV and the rack allows only minimal bike movement when underway. I hardly notice any difference in driving dynamics. When folded up without bikes, there is plenty of clearance for the rear of the SUV. AMENDMENT 06/15/24: I see some reviewers state that the strap shackles do not work…. Well, TURN THEM AROUND 180 DEGREES and they will work. This continues to be a very solid bike rack IMHO and I recommend it for heavy ebikes. UPDATE 09/15/24: One reviewer wrote that the rack down not fold back for rear access to an SUV. Wrong! It certainly does and in that position, the bikes easily can be loaded and unloaded easily by one person. To load the inside bike, drop the front wheel into the cradle, then lift the rear of the bike and place it onto the mounting channel. Then rotate the center support arm into position (lined up with bike seat post or cross bar). The bike will then lay there and you can attached the straps to the center support and the wheels. Same for the outside bike with the exception that you will have to support that bike while you lift the outward center support into position. Next, apply the center support strap to the bike which will allow you to let go of the bike so that you can attached the wheel straps. I do this by myself and am about to turn 77.

    Heavy, holds securely
The New Electric fold down e bike rack arrived quickly, no damage to shipping box. Fairly easy to assemble even with me not having a couple recommended tools. I ended up using my husband’s monkey wrench and a ratchet. I had no issues with misaligned holes. For the customers having trouble securing the straps, just turn the clip around and thread through. The straps will hold securely. It is a VERY heavy rack. I struggled putting the rack in the hitch but did it. I did not get the ramps but would recommend buying one or building one. I had to put my e bike on and off the rack a couple times to figure out the best way for me to do it alone. My e bike weighs 48 lbs (same as my kayak) so I lift the front tire up into the rail, then the back while holding the handlebars. A great upper body workout. 😜 The rack held my bike securely over highway construction bumps, a section of rough roads, etc. with little movement. It folds up and down easily.I was upset that the rack went on sale for $70 less than I paid a couple days after I bought it. Trying to reach an actual customer service person on Amazon for a price adjustment is impossible. 😖

Wonderful, Great, Best Bike Rack for Ebikes
I delayed while researching bike racks. I should have pulled the trigger on this rack immediately instead of trying to cut corners. It took an hour to put together with a couple tools. It is Heavy but that means it is SOLID. The bottom tracks are aluminum or it would be heavier. I have a 48” wheelbase and 90 pounds f bike. My wife’s bike is about 55 pounds. I can load it all because the rack leans backwards to make it easier to load up. The front wheel has a strap locks in a troth and the rear wheel is against a sliding wheel chaulk on the bottom. It also straps down. The upright bar allows you to clamp the top bar or the upright under the seat post. The only thing I wasn’t excited about was I can’t use my locking hitch pin because they have a bolt that threads through and has a cotter pin. The bolt tightens and keeps the Reese hitch tight and doesn’t rattle so I like it.

Really easy to use bike rack and good for the price
It’s a really good bike rack for the money. After reading some of the 1 or 2-star reviews, I see how some people have trouble with assembly. For starters, the instructions are off by 1mm in the size of the wrenches needed. But that’s a pretty basic fix — use the right size. For other parts, people had issues with the threads or lining up the holes. Use some anti-seize lube or some 3-in-1 oil and you will get around that issue. Otherwise, all parts were machined properly and installation was a breeze. If your trailer hitch is close to the bumper, make sure you have a 24mm socket wrench. As far as the use of the rack, it’s quick to add the bikes and strap them in. The locking straps are one-directional, so make sure you have yours facing the right way or they slip. When driving, the rack does an excellent job staying in place with little wobble.

Heavy duty. Carries two heavy e-bikes no problem.

    Great fit, good instructions, sturdy,

Fits well onto the back of my Class C motorhome, despite my spare wheel attached there.Carry two e-bikes, roughly 65 lbs each. Only used once so far, but had no trouble with the one trip. It is handy to have a ramp to load the bicycles.I stuck some reflective stickers on the back for better visibility at night.I cannot fold this up when driving because of my spare wheel, but, as mentioned, when down with e-bikes attached, it’s fine.

I have not tried putting bikes on it yet but so far this is a very sturdy unit. However my only issue is that I have a locking hitch pin which can no longer be used due to the way the hitch pin supplied is bolted through the hitch, the tube is not big enough for me to use my locking hitch pin unless I get it drilled out. A nuisance for sure.

The rack seems strong and sturdy. A little heavy but ok for the price. My only gripe is that paint came of certain parts as I was assembling it. I guess you get what you pay for. I’ll have to invest in a can of tremclad paint.
