    Single Mom’s Best Friend
I had a few requirements when looking for a mower after I bought my first house:1. It needed to be ecofriendly.2. It needed to be affordable.3. It needed to be easy to assemble.4. It needed to be lightweight and easy to use.5. It needed to have a push button start.6. It needed to cover a half acre lawn.7. It needed to have excellent reviews. For the first month in my home, I borrowed a riding lawn mower because I was intimidated to use the push mower. Then, I gave it a try. OMG- I’m in love. This mower is a single mom’s best friend. It was affordable, eco friendly, and easy for me to assemble without assistance. I bought two batteries and charged them both just in case. My lawn is mostly flat, but I have trees and landscaping to maneuver around. It was so easy to push that my 7yo and 9yo could push it without a problem. They gave it a try and could easily maneuver it. I’m usually athletic and in great shape, but I’m just starting to recover from Covid and have very little energy. Yet, I was able to mow the entire lawn. If I’d had more energy, I could have finished the half acre (or most of it) on one battery. As it is, I easily switched the batteries out when it died to finish the yard. It worked great, and the settings were easy to adjust for height.Plus, I bought the leaf blower, the weed eater, and the hedge trimmer in the same brand. They all use the same battery. They’re all easy to assemble and use — and affordable especially compared to other types of lawn equipment. I just swap out the battery to do all the parts of my lawn to keep it looking nice. I’m a busy single mom and am self-employed. I don’t have a ton of time, and this mower was so easy to push that it took very little time. I didn’t use the part to collect grass clippings in. I might use that another time, but I didn’t feel like using it this time.If there’s a con at all, I guess the battery could last a little longer. Do yourself a favor and buy two to keep charged. They could come in different colors, too, but I honestly don’t care about that so it’s not an issue for me. I have never been so pleased with a piece of lawn equipment. I love the brand, and I love how easy it has made this household task. Don’t hesitate; buy it.No, I’m not being paid for this review … Although if the company wants to send me extra lawn equipment, I’d happily accept. 😉 Either way, I’m going to tell everyone how awesome this mower is – especially for single moms and people with smaller lawns.

    Impressed This Works!!
**Greenworks 17-Inch 40V Cordless Lawn Mower, 4.0Ah Battery and Charger Included MO40B411**First summer of having the yard to mow and first cordless mower.I am short and middle-aged.↑ Very easy to put together – not much to do↑ Battery charged quickly↑ It’s pretty :)↑ It’s a lawnmower, it makes noise – but it’s not overly loud↑ I had no problem getting the battery in/out of either the charger or the mower↑ The battery has lights on it to show you how much charge you have↑ The charger has lights to let you know when it is charging and charged↑ Oh so easy to start and stop↑ No gas to buy, no gas smell↑ The bag is super easy to put on or take off→ I wish this mower would have been cheaper (bought at $297) but if the the mower, the blades and the battery hold up, I will gratefully take that back.My Experience (and I have only used it twice so far)• When the box came, I did have to “lug” it into the garage (135 lb person here). I wouldn’t describe it as weighing nothing/lightweight, but I had no problem pushing it around the yard.• Opened the box, got it out, and tightened the upper part of the arm to the lower part. Clipped the wire to the arm. Took a total of maybe 10 min.• Plugged the charger in and it took 1 hour to charge the battery.• Before you start mowing: look under the mower to make sure that everything seems tightened and there is nothing restricting movement of the blade (mine was fine, but I think everyone should check) and then check the rest of the bolts/fasteners to make sure they are tight too (just in case).• You press the button in and hold it while you pull the wire handle to the upper arm of the mower and hold it. If you release it, the mower stops.• And away I went – it is not self propelled – you have to push it yourself. I didn’t have a problem at all and mowed my small backyard and one side with half of the charge. It should easily get my front yard and the other small side on one charge of the battery. But that is all I did that day.• I haven’t used the bag. But I may use it in the fall to mulch leaves and not have to rake them up – it should make it easier to put them in bags (we shall see).• I absolutely love it and am thinking of getting the weedeater to use (with the same battery!)• If the battery lasts thru the summer, I am going to be thrilled to no end!***I watched a video on YouTube before I even bought the thing, so I knew what would come and how to put it together and about the battery. I also did look at the manual. I think (hope) that the negative reviews about the battery are from people who left the battery in for a long time and/or the charger plugged in. I watched the battery and took it out when it was charged and I will always unplug the charger unless I am using it.

    Overall Good
The mower is lightweight and maneuvers easily. The battery charges in a few hours, and can be installed and removed easily from the mower. After one season, the battery is not lasting quite as long as it did when I first bought the mower. Originally, I could mow 2500 square feet on one charge, with power to spare. Now I sometimes run out before finishing. This may be due to the fact that the grass is thicker at the end of the season than in Spring. I found that if I use the bag, rather than mulching, the mower doesn’t have to work as hard, and the battery lasts longer. Overall it’s a nice unit. We’ll see how long the battery lasts next season.

Love this machine. Easy to operate, you can adjust the height (very handy), mow your lawn quickly without the mess.Starts easily, no gas fumes and 5ah battery last about an hour.Job well done.

  7. Linda

So far this mower is great, the only issue we have is the battery never seems to fully charge so it doesn’t last very long, can only get half the lawn done at a time. Not sure if battery is a dud, or they are just bad quality.
