    Excellent mower.
This mower is the nicest to mow with that I have ever encountered in over 50 years of mowing. At 66, I’m a bit broken down in the back and can’t pull start a gas mower or push a mower around the yard This self propelled mower solves both those problems it is a dream to mow with. The only weakness is battery life, which is always the case with any battery powered tool. I already had 4 batteries from green works products and this mower came with a 5 amp hour battery. So with all 5 batteries I can mow a full acre of grass with power left over It has plenty of power for ordinary mowing. Probably not enough for foot long wet grass but plenty for normal mowing. Whisper quiet, no gas, no exhaust, I absolutely love it and highly recommend to anyone. It’s also a snap to assemble, no tools needed, just attach the handle and charge the battery and you’re ready to go. The included 5 amp hour battery lasts me 20 to 30 minutes. With my 4 spare batteries I could mow continuously for 2 hours or so if I had that much stamina (which I don’t). Great, great mower.

    Works great.
Got this on prime day for 300 and then I got 250 rebate from my local utilities, so only $50! It works good, nice cut and easy to use. Think I get about 20-30 minutes of run time. It’s nice and quiet with little vibration. I took a star off for the self propelled. The cable is a little too long and needs tinkering. Also when using self propelled the battery does drain faster. Will probably get another battery.

    Best Mower!
I bought this because it is self-propelled and battery powered. My yard has lots of angles and turns. I have used this new one now several times and being self-propelled has shorted my cutting time from 1 hour to 20 minutes. And the best part is I am not exhausted when the mowing chore is finished. I am older and still enjoy doing my own yard work. This uses no gasoline, has a push-bottom start, does a beautiful job on my lawn, and the battery re-charge takes about 45 minutes. The battery storage is in the top lid of the mower- very convenient and safe. Great product!

Ok cutting, marginal battery, great on hills
I purchased this for $314 with 5A battery and charger. So for this price it was a better deal than most. I bought it because I have a fairly steep hill in front of my house (50x 100 lot). I used a self propelled gas mower, but it is very heavy, and a slip convinced me, enough is enough.
First, the weight. It is not 21lbs. as stated in the description, it is more like 70lbs. That being said, it is lighter, by far, than my other mower. The self propelling drive, with a large rear wheel, actually propelled this mower up the hill will 10% the effort.
Second, the mower absolutely does not have the power of a gas mower (cutting). Unlike, an EV car, where you have pure starting torque right away, this like all electric mowers, needs to speed up to full tip speed, then it will cut, just ok. Don’t expect very high grass, but it did cut my Zoysia grass at 4″. I expected the speed up, since every electric mower I have used did this, but was hoping for full torque right way. It will bog down, when you reach the top of the hill. I have the cutting depth at 3 setting with 4 being the highest.
Third, battery life is marginal. I made sure to only use the self-drive on the hill, and pushed it mostly on the flats. It made it through, but was nearly dead. It wouldn’t let me charge it for an hour, cooling down.
Forget using the charger in a hot garage (outside 90F). It just stops charging. Some people put the charger and battery in the fridge to cool it down. A freezer may lead to internal condensation on a hot day, so I’d wouldn’t do that. Other chargers use a fan, this charger is passive cooled (cheap).
Overall, it is good for $314. At $500, I’d probably want to return it, but it did work well on a hill….so it’s a compromise. If the main cutting motor was as good as the rear wheel drive it would be well worth $500. It is difficult to make high torque and high RPM mowers, economical and battery efficient. (i’m a nerd, gas mowers are overall better)
