Great
This is a very good mower for small to mid-sized lawns…you’ll need an extra battery…maybe buy another tool…works very well and is rugged….even with the expense of an extra battery this is still a very good deal.

This is a fantastic mower!!!! Buy this mower!!
I donât know what mower everybody else is reviewing on this mower, but I love this mower!!! All those that said removing battery is difficult is wrong wrong wrong. Super easy to remove and place, and the extra holder for second battery is completely fantastic! The battery power? I thought really great! This is not a drill or flashlight your are powering! Itâs a 21 inch mower for crying out loud. If you have suburb size lawn easily do front and back yard with 1 battery. Iâm on 8 acres and have to mow about 2. I did at least 1/2-3/4 of and acre with 2 batteries and we are not talking about yâallâs cute little lawn grass. My John Deere mower is shot and I needed something quick to keep up with the grass and although we are a Milwaukee family I love green works for my personal use and have blower, weeder, and even bought the little 16 inch chainsaw that is awesome! This mower super easy to put together, no gas, no oil and cuts perfectly and mowed down some tall and thick grass I thought it would struggle with. Yâall completely ignore the rest and buy this mower!

GreenWorks Push Mower – Decent Mower
I purchased the GreenWorks push mower because my five year old Earthwise push mowerâs battery was dead and I couldnât purchase a replacement battery anymore. Unfortunately that is one of the cons in purchasing these types of items – you are stuck with their batteries and once they stop manufacturing the batteries, you are stuck with a mower that you canât use.Now there are some PROS to this mower that I really like – it cuts fantastically, is very lightweight and I mowed a lot of ground before the battery went dead. Now the CONS – the mower is bigger than what I expected. My old Earthwise mower was a 19 inch mower and it was very compact even if the battery was almost the size of a car battery. I could get in between bushes with no problem. With the GreenWorks mower, Iâm often afraid Iâm going to break the plastic while trying to get in between bushes. Also, even though I charged the battery over night, I felt that the battery did not last very long compared to my old Earthwise. Also, there is no way to check the remaining charge of the battery unless you stop the mower, open the battery compartment and push the button. On the Earthwise mower, all you needed to do is look at the rear of the mower and the indicator lights were right there! All in all I like the mower. I feel it mows very well, is light weight enough for a small female to push it and it was very easy to assemble out of the box. I donât think it holds up well as far as the battery charge to mow more than my old Earthwise and I really think the price was a bit pricy! My old Earthwise only cost me $129 five years ago. When you look at how gas fell negatively and is now back on the rise, Iâm not going to complain because I donât have to deal with the smell, the mess, the price of gas or the loud noise a gas powered mower makes. Oh, one thing I also want to rave about – the mowing width is wonderful and where it took almost 40 minutes to cut my front lawn, only now takes me about 15 minutes! Who can complain about that !

Quiet, cuts great, BUT… batteries don’t last and are very hard to get out
I really wanted to love this mower. I got it to replace an older Greenworks 2-blade mower. It’s quieter and it cuts beautifully.Unfortunately, my 4AH batteries only last 12-13 minutes in it. That means I have to use 5 batteries to cut my grass (normally takes about an hour). I do own 3 of the batteries which means I have to wait in the middle of mowing for batteries to recharge. I wonder how long the 2AH batteries they want you to use would have lasted. As many other people have commented, the batteries are a real pain to get out of the mower. There isn’t room for your fingers on the sides of the batteries, and you can’t get a good enough grip using the front and back either.Update 4 July 2018: The batteries last longer now that I’ve set the mower to leave the grass longer. It now takes me 2+ batteries to cut the lawn. The third battery is only about 1/2 used. I have also figured out how to get the batteries out more easily. I use something with a flat edge (like a garden trowel or a wide flat-blade screw driver) to fit help lift the battery from the front being careful not to actually damage the battery. So, it’s not wonderful, but I’ve learned to live with it, and I do love how well it cuts and how quiet it is compared to a gasoline-powered engine.

Dead on arrival
The mower was purchased at a great price and when the box was opened it was obviously brand new; even though purchased as a serious cosmetic blem. Everything was there and factory packaged (I think). It went downhill from there. The only thing it would do is beep. I opened the top cover to make sure all electrical connections were intact (as per a Utube video). The battery held a full charge. I contacted Greenworks for assistance; totally useless; though we went through the starting sequence.. Forget their customer service. Was never able to get it to run. Unfortunately, had to return it after I thought I scored a great deal. Amazon took it back without any problem and had it ‘picked up’ immediately. Was really hoping I had a good deal but it didn’t work out.

Perfect for my city yard with the 6 amp battery
Very nice product. I got the 6 amp battery. and Iâm glad I did. It does my somewhat bigger than other in- city yard with about 1/2 left. Very light and easy to move around. I did not get self propelled and am glad I didnât.Very quiet. Plenty of power and battery life for normal mowing. Even works on damp grass.Iâve read a review or two in which the reviewer said the mower seemed cheap. I disagree. It is lightweight, made of plastic. Heavy is not better for an electric mower.
