  1. Ellen L. Hitchins

    Very sturdy & maneuverable!!
Great product! Easy to put together. Maneuvers perfectly. Easy to fold. I know some reviews said it leaves marks all over your floors. It did for a little bit, but once it gets worn in, it doesn’t make them anymore. They are easy to clean off the floor. Person using the scooter is 5‘3“ tall. Highly recommend this product.

  2. Dr. Paul

Very good, but things to be aware of – happy with it, but make note…
My wife was working out a couple weeks ago and handed wrong, breaking her foot severely to the point of no weight for up to 12 weeks and we are still awaiting word on if she’ll need surgery. But she needs to get to the bathroom and between the bed and recliner, so we had to do something. After researching the various products she decided on this brand, and this scooter.
Overall we are giving it a 5 star and it is deserved, but there are some points you will want to make note of when choosing.
    1. Set up: This is easy to set up. But. A. You will want to have someone able bodied to do it. It is not overly heavy, but there is weight to it, and it’s bottom heavy, so you need to be able to move around, adjust, even climb/lay not the floor or put it up on a table. If you are injured you’re not likely to be comfortable doing many of the elements – you’ll need to brace yourself, push, hold, tighten, etc. One step will require setting the height of the kneeler and you will need/want someone to be down adjusting this while you measure your comfort level. B. FOLLOW EACH STEP AS DESCRIBED! We had read a few reviews about set up and when we did ours I went literally step by step – to the T – to identify and perform each step. This has kept us from having any of the issues others describe. There are a couple points where this might seem difficult, off, or you’re not sure, but be careful, follow the steps, and be clear you’re doing as described. One does NOT want to fall or feel unsure about its security when using this (or any) scooter. C. Tighten as you go – often you tighten after everything is done, but from what I was doing and experiencing, tighten as I went kept me from having to figure out how to reach something or get back to something – and was safest when my wife tested heights.
    2. Comfort: Overall she finds this a very comfortable scooter, but it is cheaper – that others from this manufacturer – so I said early on she’ll likely want a cushion for the knee pad – she did within 2 days. It is fine, but she’ll be on this for 12 weeks and most will use for at least 6 weeks. You are going to want a cover. We got her one from the same company and again, she likes it – but thinks it might be a little thicker as well. My wife finds the handle bars easy to use, and the overall comfort to be fine.
That said, if we were to do it again, she’s thinking she’d get a higher level one for added comfort.
    3. Handles, stopping, starting. This is easy to use, It’s all you – leg power pushing. But if you’re venturing beyond your home you’ll need to be aware of the slopes, you’ll notice every bump in the road, and you’re going to have to be aware far more than usual of grading and how to get over and around things. This one does fine, it is workable, but there is, again, an element she prefers she’d gone a little higher quality. She does feel everything and has said she would get one with better wheels/tires. These are not very off-load friendly. We did one trip into our community parking lot so she could get doctor ordered sun and she was not enjoying the bumps and hardness. She also has a slight concern about the brakes – one tightens well, the other is weaker. So these combined make her wish she had gone higher quality – but with the same company. She recommends riding outside with your hands on the brakes at all times – you never know when a change is coming and you have to react in ways you’re not used to.
    4. My wife was looking at higher level ones with this company and is telling me that you have to have a major price upgrade for better tires: meaning all terrains tires that can get you around comfortably in multiple types of locations (parking lots, offices, ground, gravel, house, anything you can think of). This is fine for the house, getting to and from the car, maybe the store, but parking lots are uncomfortable, gravel and acorns hurt, and so forth. But there is a price jump. She is thinking she’d pay the extra from this experience – maybe not under Covid conditions where we are stuck at home, and she has been told she cannot have any movement/weight/bump risks until she’s out of the woods for surgery – but we live in a place where we like to get out and do things, so if we were able, she’d want more access this does not provide.
    5. Maneuverability: Our home is smeller, so we kept that in mind. She wanted/needed to get around on her own, so she needed to consider turning radius. She picked this one because she didn’t feel she needed or would be safe turning on a dime, but how could she adjust? This one does not have a tight turn, which allows it to keep its stability. That makes her feel secure. But she counters it with being able to pick it up and move it in those moments, which makes her feel fine and not at all uncomfortable making adjustments as such. Being light means being aware of that – you don’t have to worry about it tipping and falling on you, but it’s light. But she can adjust and she does not lack stability for movement. If you need it to feel more stable she noted in reviews how those may be heavier. She didn’t want that. This is something she does not regret in this choice, nor would give up. She has never felt unstable or tippy and she confidently gets herself around when she needs to move.
    6. She HIGHLY recommends if you’re going to be using this for any period of time and you want any sort of autonomy: get a cup holder and basket. We have not gotten a basket and I’m not sure both would fit – in fact I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t work. I’m home all the time and I can carry things for her. She does have a great cup holder we also got on Amazon – ironically for strollers – 2 Pack Stroller Drink Holders for Cups or Bottles Universal for Bicycle, Wheelchair, Trolleys, 360 Rotation is the name on the product page. This one fits perfectly on this scooter and holds a serious amount of weight. We have large Tervis tumbler – always full when she moves it around – and it is heavy! This holder hasn’t had an issue.
Overall this is a great scooter and has saved us. The first day I was practically carrying her around (and led to a torn hamstring) until this arrived and we are thrilled she’s had it. Again, in our old world we likely would have upgraded to get out more, but for Covid or those staying home more or easier locations to get to, this is stellar. She also will be on it for 12 weeks minimum, so we have to see what level of activity she’ll be allowed. But for home it’s perfect. For much of our pre-covid daily lives it would have worked. If we’d have been able to get to a theme park or some other outdoor location, it would have been better to have better tires. But still a great scooter and choice.

Great for quicker mobility when injured!
To preference my review I am a 6 foot 230 pound male. I recently underwent foot surgery and needed a reliable and comfortable solution to stay mobile during recovery. The KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter Steerable Knee Walker has been an absolute game changer!
    Setup
The knee walker was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box. The instructions were clear, and I had it assembled and ready to use within minutes.
    Comfort
The knee pad is exceptionally comfortable, providing ample cushioning to prevent any discomfort, even after extended use. This feature is particularly important for anyone who needs to use the scooter all day.
    Maneuverability
The steerable design makes moving around smooth and effortless. I found it easy to navigate through tight spaces in my small apartment without any issues. The dual brakes add an extra layer of safety, ensuring I have full control over the scooter at all times.
    Stability and Support
One of the standout features of this knee walker is its stability. It provides excellent balance and support, allowing me to move around comfortably without worrying about putting weight on my injured foot. This stability gave me the confidence to continue my daily activities both indoors and outdoors.
    Durability
The KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter is sturdy and well-built. It feels durable and reliable, which is reassuring when you’re relying on it to move around during recovery. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it shows no signs of wear and tear.
    Versatility
Whether I’m maneuvering around the house, in the yard, or even taking it out for errands, this knee scooter performs exceptionally well. It’s lightweight and foldable, making it easy to transport if needed.
    Value
For its price, the KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter offers exceptional value. It combines comfort, stability, and ease of use at a very affordable price point.
    Overall Experience
Overall, I highly recommend the KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter to anyone recovering from foot surgery, a broken ankle, or any foot injury. It has made my recovery process much easier and more comfortable, allowing me to maintain my independence and mobility without any pain or difficulty. This knee walker is a must-have for anyone in a similar situation .
I hope this detailed review helps anyone considering the KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter for their recovery needs!

    Good Mobility Solution Post Surgery
The KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter has been a lifesaver following my calf & foot surgery. This knee walker is not the easiest to steer, but it provides excellent stability, allowing me to move around comfortably without putting weight on my foot and leg. The padded knee platform is comfortable, but with extended use, the comfort weakens. It might be better if the padding had a dip in it because when I use it with my boot on, it pushes my boot into my leg some, making it uncomfortable at times. The adjustable handlebars make it easy to find the perfect height for me.
Assembly was straightforward: my teenage son put it together in 5 minutes without consulting the instructions , and the scooter is lightweight yet sturdy. The large wheels handle various surfaces well, both indoors and outdoors. It’s been a huge help in maintaining my independence during recovery. I recommend this knee scooter for anyone needing an affordable, reliable and convenient mobility aid post-surgery!

  5. Star.Rabbit

    It works well.
Post foot surgery and needed something to help me get around sans crutches. It feels sturdy, it’s lightweight, has brakes, and easy to operate. One draw back is a quick release pin instead of a screw in release for the handlebars would be preferred. Good price point and arrived quickly. Does it’s job and so far does it well.

I broke my ankle on a Monday, and long story short: I went to emergency and was put in a cast/splint and sent home with crutches. Because of balance problems and RA in my shoulders, I could not adjust to the crutches. After trying for them for 2 days I fell off the crutches and dislocated my pinky finger and broke it. The crutches had to go. So I searched on Amazon and found the Knee Rover. After reading the wonderful reviews on it I decided to order the Knee Rover.
I ordered the Knee Rover on August 31, and it was at my door on September 1st. Great shipping service. The box came nicely sealed and no damage on the box. Inside the box the rover was well protected with plastic ties and secured in foam pieces that prevented any damage if the box did move around during shipping.
I took the rover out of the box and within 15 minutes I had it assembled. All you have to do is put on the steering piece, lock it, and then put on the seat and lock that. (This is actually one big reason why I ordered it because I am a senior and have arthritis I didn’t want anything that I had to put together myself.)
The colour blue is awesome in person. The rover is very nice looking and looks like it’s way more than I paid. It has handlebars that are easy to grip and a seat that so is unbelievably soft and comfortable. I used it at night when I got up to go to the bathroom and have carpet all through my Studio apartment. The rover just glided over the carpet with ease and bathroom trips are easy now.
    Now for the test outside:
After a week shut in the house I was getting Cabin Fever and decided to take the rover out for a spin. I was nervous at first especially with a broken ankle and a broken finger. But, I got over my anxiety and went for it:
I walked uphill to the lake. It’s about a mile from where I live. I put my knee on the rover and walked with my other foot. The rover was easy to maneuver and I had no problems with it on the paved sidewalk. It was a breeze and I was enjoying it. Because I’m 72 and full of arthritis I didn’t want to overdo it, so I took rests on the way. The seat was very comfortable to rest on and I’d sit for a while in the fresh air and then get going again.
Once I made it to the lake I tested it on the gravel pathway. And, no, there is no way it will work on a gravel road. So, I pulled off the gravel path and went up on the grass area to complete my walk. It worked on low-cut grass much better. I sat for a while on the comfortable seat watching the animals in the water. After about an hour, I headed back home. I coasted most of the way at a slow pace because it was mostly downhill. I also used the brakes at times and they worked great. I knew not to put them on suddenly or I would topple over. I gently, and slowly applied pressure to the brakes and they worked great.
I prefer to bring a backpack on my back rather than a basket on the rover. As I carry a lot in my bag. Especially, from the store. I had the backpack attached to the front of the rover at first but the rover was stating to tip over front-ways. So, I took it off. It won’t tip while you have your knee on it, but I was walking alongside the rover so I could give my arthritic knee a rest. I did find it uncomfortable on my already bad knee if I didn’t take sit breaks. Nothing to do with the rover. I just need another knee injection.
It was so good to get out of the house today and I’m happy to say that it was because of this amazing rover I could do that. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the shipping. I already recommended this rover to my friends.
So, there you are: My happy story with the Knee Rover. I gave 4 stars on the sturdiness because it did tip with too much weight on front and not enough weight on the back. (When I took my bad knee off and walked beside it holding the middle bar.) So, that was my fault. But, it did tip so I wanted to add that.
    Few tips:
Don’t add too much weight to the front. Keep your leg well outside of the wheels so you don’t catch your leg in the wheel and possible fall. Don’t go fast on it. Even though it can coast pretty fast down hills, keep it slow. Don’t apply brake pressure too sudden. Slowly pull the levers back to let the rover slow down. Because this one can go pretty darn fast if you are not braking.
All in all I am very happy with my purchase. I’m looking forward to my next walk to the lake in a few days. I will put the lessons I learned on my first trip to good use.
Thank- you Knee Rover for this wonderful product. And, Thank -you Amazon for getting it to me so fast, and without a scratch.

This has really been an absolute life changer. I fractured my ankle and was non weight bearing for 7 weeks I was using crutches for the 1st few days and finding it uncomfortable and difficult to get around but the scooter really turned it around. It was much easier to get around the house and go outside. It was very stable and good quality. I wouldn’t say it’s heavy but it’s not light either if it was light it wouldn’t be as stable. You will probably need some help to assemble if you are non weight bearing as you do need to get under it to adjust the knee rest. Really worth it if you aren’t good with crutches and still want to do things around the house. The rubber wheels can leave little scuff marks on tiles and wood floors but I found as I’m getting around I can wipe them up with my good leg if I have socks on they come up easily!

  8. Sue

Best investment after my husband fractured his left ankle and truly was struggling with getting around the house on crutches. His cast is up to his knee. The knee rover allows him to be a bit more independent during his healing process. It was very easy to assemble. Attach handle bars with brakes already attached and set and attach seat to desired height and voila. It maneuvers very well. It is light weight and very sturdy and very well balanced. Now he has no more painful agony of trying to keep his leg balanced and elevated while trying to walk with the crutches. When he first tried it out he was over the moon with delight that getting around was so much easier and no pain with it. The price was very fair. I called a place on town about renting a knee rover and their price to rent was more money then buying it out right. Plus with covid now it made more sense to buy it brand new as he will be laid up for at least 10 weeks after his really bad fracture. I would HIGHLY recommend this knee rover. My husband is over 60 years in age and he rides this device like a kid.
Thank you to the vendor that has supplied this great device.
