GREAT BARGAIN CONTROLLER!!
Such a great bargain controller! Iâm thrilled and excited because seeing that Iâm running an older system that I had built (running on windows 7), I couldnât get my wireless controller to connect through the Bluetooth.
So since I wasnât able to connect a wireless one, I figured why not try & get a wired one like we had back in the day.
And boy was I right! The feel of the controller is so smooth, very comfortable in hand, and the response time is 100/10!
You can tell the controller will hold up for the long haul as itâs durable, yet light enough to allow you to play freely without stress on your hands!
It also doesnât generate sweat and keeps your hands cool.
Iâm elated because with so much trial & error trying to connect a wireless controller for over a month, Iâm finally able to play my most favorite nostalgic games from the 90âs! 😀
If youâre looking for a reliable, fully functional, easy to operate, and cheaper wired controller, get it!
This controller (imo) is for those who just want to âplayâ & donât feel the need to be fancy at the time. It works Really well, you wonât be disappointed! 100/10! :))

Best budget alternative to a console controller I’ve found
I wanted a controller for PC gaming for the rare title where a controller is really that much better than kb&m controls, but I wasn’t about to shell out $80 for an Xbox controller and the adapter needed to use it for PC. This is the one I settled on, and after at least 100 hours of gameplay use from Hades alone I can say it’s a quality controller.
Note that this does not have rumble capability of any kind, nor does it have some of the fancy speaker/microphone stuff Sony and Microsoft have started adding to their controllers. If you want all the bells and whistles of the expensive controllers – well, you’re gonna have to buy one of the expensive controllers. But if you don’t really care about that stuff and just want a well built controller with the standard modern Xbox/PS style layout, this one is a great choice. I have never had a game that supports controller input fail to map the controls correctly or anything like that. And if you install Logitech’s profiler software, you can fully rebind the controls yourself – allowing you to correct annoying control setups in games that don’t have built-in rebindable controller controls, or if you decide you want to use it for a game that doesn’t even have controller support you can rebind the buttons to keyboard buttons so as far as the game is concerned you’re just using keyboard controls. Not sure exactly how sophisticated the profiler is in terms of macros and the like because I’ve never bothered to install it, since this controller just works with no fuss for all the games I’ve tried it with.
It even has a toggle switch on the back to switch to directinput if you wanna play some ancient game that lacks xinput support (if you don’t know what this means, don’t worry about it – xinput has been the standard for years now and any remotely modern game with controller support is gonna use it).
All the buttons still feel good after 100+ hours of heavy use. I haven’t noticed any issues with thumbstick drift, a problem even the “premium” controllers sometimes have. The d-pad is much higher quality than on most cheap controllers – it has 4 separate switches for the 4 cardinal directions instead of just one in the middle, so it is more reliable and feels better to use). The controller itself feels a bit lighter than an Xbox controller but still feels sturdy and durable.
I’ll admit I’m a big of a Logitech fan, so maybe I was biased to like this controller – but there’s a reason it’s one of the most common recommendations for a budget PC controller and the top seller in the PC controllers Amazon category. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to an Xbox controller, and don’t mind a wired controller or lack of rumble support, this is the product you’re looking for. At full MSRP of $24.99 it’s a very good deal, and if you’re patient and look for deals it’s not hard to find in the 15-20 range at which point it’s an absolute steal.
If you want a budget option that is wireless and has rumble support, look into the Logitech F710.

Excellent economy gamepad, durable and effective.
I picked up this controller about 2 months ago in anticipation for Dark Souls 2, which some of you may know is the kind of game that plays much better with a gamepad. However, I was on a tight budget, so when I considered the Xbox controller, I realized it was much more expensive than it really deserved to be. After finding it and browsing around forums, I gathered that with this controller, many had issues with deadzones, but I encountered no such problem. Some people are just more sensitive to response differences than others. Ergonomically, this controller reminds me very distinctively of the standard controller of the Playstation 2 (I’ve never used a PS3 controller, if there’s any difference). The joystick is positioned under the D-Pad, and both feel very smooth in use. The D-Pad itself, as well as the four primary buttons and the bumpers, were relatively loud, and made a clacking noise which could bother some.
It worked right out of the box (which may have been aided by the fact that I had Logitech Gaming Software already installed for my G500), which was a nice feature, and every game that supports gamepads identified it immediately, and it was ready to go. With FPS-style games, the deadzone in the right stick becomes slightly more noticeable; fine aiming, as with a sniper rifle, is a bit difficult as motion accelerates quite quickly. However, for games like this, I still prefer a mouse and keyboard. Hack-and-slash, as well as platformers and fighting games like Soul Calibur, benefit greatly from having all controls oriented in a more natural fashion. First use of this gamepad with Rogue Legacy increased my confidence that I made a good purchase. All the buttons responded brilliantly, the joysticks moved as I wanted them to, and the triggers felt very natural, despite the bit of extra resistance that I had to adjust to. After the release of Dark Souls 2 for the PC, I realized I couldn’t have made a better call. The responsiveness was just what one would want in a hack-and-slash, instant reaction without any inaccuracies. Every mistake is at the fault of the user.
With this controller still working like the day I first got it, I feel like it’s gonna stick around for quite a while longer. I definitely think this controller is priced as mid-range, but functions at a higher tier than price would suggest. Because I can’t half stars in the overall review, I labelled it as 4, but I would rather give it a 4.5. 10/10 would buy again.

Comfortable if you have small/average-sized hands.
If you have big hands, it may take some time to get used to or just be outright uncomfortable to use, would recommend an asymmetrical joystick layout in your case (think Xbox controller design type).
Ergonomics aside, this controller has survived 3 dunks onto my floor, more than enough accidental drops, and a slam onto a hard desk (souls-like genre). I firmly believe that this controller could get out of a controller-spike unscathed. All of the plastic bits that hold wiring seem to be just as thick as the controllerâs case, allowing this clunky fella to withstand great amounts of physical shock.
Works with Steam and is detected by Windows 11 as a gamepad, further proving its firmware is not bootlegged and is reliable for pc gaming.
Wire is a decent length as I can play on my bed, about a meter away from where it is plugged in, without any stress that I will tug the cord.
Only confusion I ever had with it is that it uses Xbox controller letters for the buttons (A, B, X, Y) but has the symmetric joystick layout of a DualShock 4, so I kept mixing up how my games should communicate with the controller, which is not even a technical issue, just a matter of preference.

Reviewing after 3-4 years. Buy at Rs. 1500 in 2019 may be. Great product. Value for money. But only buy when there is any offer as it’s outdated. You can get xbox controller at the same price

This is a very high quality device and has lasted a lot of game play on my Alienware. If I were to ask for an improvement it would be for it to come with a USB-C adaptor as it is USB-A.
