Holy mackerel this thing’s got some mojo!
I own about 30 cordless tools (Milwaukee) of the M12 & M18 Fuel type (mostly M18). I’m an ex-general contractor so there isn’t much that I haven’t seen, so much stuff that there is little that impresses me any longer. But with this blower tool (which is quite a departure from the typical Milwaukee tool), you can genuinely color me impressed! Not only am I that guy with the noisy blower next door but I friggin love this thing! I am always looking for things to blow! (easy fellas). I clean the street, the neighbors yard, you name it, I will clear you a path. It isn’t heavy, doesn’t feel like much and I sure didn’t expect much but boy what a pleasant surprise once I figured out how to get it into high power mode. It has variable speed so why the need for the low power mode? I have never used it except by accident. Anyhow, it creates a small hurricane so, as a reasonable person would expect from a battery powered tool in our current state of cordless tech, it takes no prisoners when it comes to killing off batteries so I advise one to have plenty of batteries on the wait. I have many batteries and chargers AND I bought a 9mAh and the new 12 (wow) along with a number of 5’s so it is truly a non-issue for me. I just don’t time it but I get a very acceptable amount of time and additional wind with the 12 so that’s all I have to offer there. What do people expect? I mean the people moaning about battery life. I knew this thing was going to mow down batteries. It is logical. Oh well, some aren’t happy unless they get to belly-ache about something. Anyhow on the note of belly-aching, I do have one gripe and it is an annoying one. I almost always wear loose fitting t-shirts and my dang shirts are constantly getting sucked in by the into the intake. Perhaps they could have a “deflector” to suck the air from another direction and not right where my shirt hangs. Anyhow, not a deal breaker and honestly, I’m not sure there is anywhere else to put it. I’ll let Milwaukee work that out. I must, however, imagine that unless folks use it as an over the shoulder blower, I’m not the only one experiencing shirt sucking issues. If you are properly (adequately) armed with batteries, this really is a good, FUN and powerful addition to the M18 Fuel arsenal. Example of fun, read it…true story: Sometimes I get a pile of leaves in a corner and when that happens with 120mph of wind, thing tend to go UP so I just go with it and let everything blow over the (6′) fence into the yard where “not so favorite” neighbor set up camp. He said “y’all must really get some heavy winds over there because lot’s of leaves keep blowing right over the fence into my yard. I said “YES we do Bob”, you know, sometimes it’s like a polar vortex or something over here man”. He looked at me with a genuine look of awe! I offered to help clean them up. Of course he said (and I knew he would) “there is no need for that!” Gotta love Bob, he has the IQ of a speed bump! Score one for me!

Works Great
I bought this for fast cleanup jobs around the house. I wanted something I could grab quickly for a quick patio clean up, instead of grabbing a broom. I love it. I only recommend buying the Milwaukee 18v 12ah battery. It loses it charge quickly if you don’t.

Great blower
Got this as a light weight counterpart for my backpack blower. This will never move a pile of leaves like the backpack does but it does a great job blowing dirt and leaves out of the garage, grass off the sidewalks after we mow plus blowing sawdust off the mitersaw. It’s extremely light weight and it’s comfortable to use. It’s also fairly quiet, as blowers go. I’ve had the same 5.0 18V battery in it now for two weeks and it’s still going so I’m going to have to say it has good battery life. Listen, you can’t really go wrong with Milwaukee power tools so if your thinking about getting one, do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Could not be better!
I did a lot of comparison shopping before picking this up. I needed a more portable blower to replace the corded one that I had been using for many years. I already had several other Milwaukee tools in my garage and compatible power packs, so this was a pretty easy decision. While this blower seems slightly less powerful that my A/C one on full speed, it has more than enough power for jobs, like blowing grass, leaves, and loose dirt. This blower has the great advantage that I can grab it and get the job done quickly without having to bend over and mess with an extension cord. I can use it anywhere in the yard quickly and easily. I even use it to scare away pests!
As far as durability, I don’t think you can beat it. I accidentally dropped this thing from 8′ on to the cement floor and it just bounced around and didn’t even leave a scratch. It took me a while to notice the little triangular tabs along the edges have a small recessed holes that makes it easy to hang up securely on a hook in the garage. The blower is equipped with a brushless motor which is efficient and reliable.
About the only surprise here was how quickly it drains a full battery pack. Make sure you have a couple on hand because it will drain one in about 12-15 minutes on full speed. Thanks Milwaukee for making such incredible products!

Good for the Price
Lightweight and easy to use. I had a 120V corded leaf blower before, but dealing with the power cable was awful so I tried this. All comparisons are against that blower. This Milwaukee one is quite a bit lighter and quieter, and it’s so easy to attach the battery and just go. So much faster to get to work. Downside is it’s about 3/4 the push power of a plug in model and the battery will die fast. I had a fully charged genuine M18 battery and it died in proximately 10 minutes of continuous use. It really heats up the battery too so the charger won’t recharge the battery until the core cools a bit first.
Bottom line, if you just have a small area you can hit in about 10 minutes, you can’t go reall wrong with this for the price. If you have a much larger area to clean, you’ll either need more batteries, or to keep looking for something else.

Moves a lot of air
Most leaf blowers speed up the air flow by squeezing down the tip. Not this one, it nozzle is as wide as a leaf vacuum and it throws the air! It does use up the smaller batteries fast so you might want to get 5.0 or larger batteries.
