First impression: Whoo hooooo!
I’ve literally only ridden this once, but so far I’m quite impressed! I was looking for a very compact mobility scooter for my wife, that could double as a fun scooter and not settle for one of those huge, heavy monsters that require a hitch mount to carry and just creep around in slow motion. This checks those boxes nicely! It is very fast. I know it says 10mph in the description, but it seems way faster. The speedometer read around 18mph on my test drive. I don’t know how accurate it is. Maybe it’s actually in km and just said mph, I don’t know, but It was plenty fast and I think I still had some throttle left. I was dealing with limited space so I couldn’t go all out. I know it went as fast as I wanted to go on it on my first run and I’m something of a speed freak. It has three speed settings but my wife never got out of the first setting because it surprised and scared her how fast it was the first time she took off on it. She loves it though, and is excited about getting used to it and having that kind of speed at her command. You can go as slow as you want if you simply ease into the throttle slowly, but if you do like she did and crank it like you’re on a Walmart cart trying to get to the dairy section, it’ll sit you back in that big cozy seat and let you know that you’ve underestimated it.
Yes, you do need to slow down for sharper turns, but it feels stable and the 3 wheel design allows it to make tight turns. This is a super fast, really fun scooter disguised as a mobility scooter so you can get away with riding it in stores.
It came well packaged and was easy to assemble, but you’ll need some Allen wrenches and a couple of crescent wrenches (or substitutes) that are not included.
The battery slides out easily from the side after unlocking it with the key, or you can simply flip open the battery door (doubles as a handle for carrying it) to charge it while it’s still attached to the scooter. It must have arrived mostly charged because I plugged in the battery first, and by the time I finished the assembly, it was fully charged.
The brakes are good enough on the back wheels, but there are no front brakes, which would help a lot to stop faster, especially at faster speeds. The back brakes get the job done, but at high speeds you need to allow more time to stop… you know, like you do with pretty much anything else with brakes. There is no resistance from the motor when you stop accelerating like most mobility scooters, so it’s just the brakes doing all the stopping unless you Flintstone it by dragging your feet. There is also a handy lock for the brake handle so you can sit still on an incline without having to manually hold the brake.
The seat is big and comfy, and it’s got plenty of leg room for me at 5’11 without being any bigger than it needs to be, so it can fold up into a small package. Even a small car can carry this. It also wheels around easily like a suitcase when folded.
It comes with a nice little headlight, brake lights, fenders, and a horn. A button on the left handlebar toggles the scooter in and out of reverse. Thankfully, there is no annoying beeping sound when backing up.
This one also came with a spring-up collapsible metal basket and a little round collapsible nylon carrying bag that were both very cool, welcome surprises. They both fit together nice and flat into the included pocket on the back of the seat for storage and easily hook on to the handlebars or seat back when in use (no tools or tightening required).
I can’t speak about the battery range yet, but whatever it is, I already want to buy a spare to keep the good times rolling.
The short warranty inspired me to purchase the add-on two year warranty from Assurion. Unless this just dies soon, I expect to remain thrilled with this purchase. I’ll update my review if I do have trouble. As it stands, we’re loving it and recommend it to other fun-loving folks looking to check the same boxes we were. I wouldn’t recommend it for young children or anyone too old to handle the speed. My wife is a young sixty years old, with a bad back and a fake knee, and so far it seems perfect for her. I’m thinking of getting another one for me now, so I can keep up with her!

Overall great scooter
Arrived as an obvious return from someone else. Minus 1 star for Amazon sending me someone else’s personal information and a faulty product. Blurred name and address in picture for their protection. Luckily, the fault was just a flat tire and needed a new tube. Mototec was super responsive and got me a replacement right away. It was an annoyance to put on the tube for a new product, but we will eventually experience a flat so we just accepted it as a maintenance item instead of going through the hassle of sending it back and having another poor soul go through the same thing.
This this is fast! It has 3 speeds and if there is any incline you want to be on high. Got it for my father who doesn’t want to need it but does need it. Folds up easily and I can lift it easily into the car no problem. We had a heck of a time getting the battery out. Found a shipping screw that was a bit of a pain to work loose (in pic), but once out battery removes and slides in easily. That was really important so he could take it on a plane. He rode it through TSA, all the way to the gate, removed battery and put in his carry on and then was able to put back together when he landed.
The brakes suck. You need to know you have stop well before you do or Fred Flinstone it and put your feet down if you are able to. Throttle on right and brake on left means you can’t carry stuff with you easily. Driving one handed not recommended. Left hand thumb throttle will be ordered asap.
Does okay on our yard which is has major slopes and is not even. Does it’s best work on flat ground. Charges easy every few days.
My father is around 240lbs and is 6 foot tall. Fits great and the side handles help him stand up when he needs to. Small enough to use inside and get through doors once we get to that point.
Overall, an excellent product especially for the price compared to similar mobility products. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
