Just like the original from when I was a kid
Ms Pac-man was always one of my favorite arcade games and this handheld doesnât disappoint. Easy controls with minimal navigation, just turn on and add credits (button) and select one or two player and thatâs it. Game goes. Only controls are the left directional pad, which uses MyArcadeâs common pad and is perfect for this application. Iâve had mine for about 8 months and have only used it intermittently since, but overall have nearly a dozen hours going on the same batteries I first put in. I do like that it can be powered by a plugged in usb-c charging cable if you donât want to waste the batteries. My only complaint is the volume on this specific game from MyArcade. Even on max (volume setting between 0-4), you can barely hear the game. I use (wired) headphones and on max that allows me to actually hear the gameplay. *This doesnât allow for bluetooth connectivity fyi. Lastly, you will need to acquire a very small phillips screwdriver in order to unscrew and screw the security screws for the battery cover plates. As someone who owns a set of small various screwdrivers, I was ok but can understand the frustration having getting this and getting home only to find I need an unusually small screwdriver to operate this and not having one. Option B) USB-C i I suppose.Overall quality is on par for a $40 (inexpensive) handheld toy. Made for common use but not built for abuse. Itâs tough enough and will probably last many years under normal use. Currently, I have this and the Tetris, Galaga, & Street Fighter players. Working on the collection. Definitely a good value for the money. Perfect for any game enthusiast of vintage games, young and old, or anyone who is into collecting gaming and toys in general.

Two Classic Arcade Games in One Portable Console
As a fan of the arcade classic, Galaga, and to a lesser extent, Galaxian, this portable handheld version of the game is very faithful and easy to play. It was a little confusing at first in getting the game to start as once you have which game you want to play selected, you have to then press the “credit” button on the top to progress to the one or two player selection option. But from there it’s the same classic arcade games most folks know and love. The game screen is fairly large too and the shape of the device is very useful for keeping a good grip on it. Changing the batteries though may be a bit difficult as you have to undo two phillips head screws on the back panels to remove them and replace the two AA batteries in both compartments. There’s a plug for a recharge cable but that, plus the batteries, are not included.Overall, a quality little video game, perfect for travel or playing while relaxing on a given day.

Nice Little Unit
I bought the Atari version of this handheld as I grew up playing an Atari 2600 and wanted a little nostalgia of those days. First off, the unit is very attractive looking and is nicely made. The controls all work fine and there is a good variety of fun games installed. I haven’t tried every game yet but the ones I have played are really fun to play. Certain games are a little challenging to play though since they may not have the appropriate controls for the game. For example, Crystal Castles is a game that used a track ball in the arcades. Using the d pad for this game makes it really hard to play. That is one my big gripe about this handheld. The lack of a trackball for games like Crystal Castle and Centipede and the lack of a paddle like controller for games like Breakout and Warlord. Playing Centipede and Missile Command is certainly doable with the d pad, but I had a really hard time controlling the paddle in Breakout with the d pad. I can understand the difficulty of putting a trackball on such a small unit, but I think they could have put some kind of small knob for a paddle control for games that used it, such as breakout. My only other minor gripe is the fact that it was not made to be rechargeable. You have to directly power it with a USB cable or use 4 AA batteries. All in all, it is a really nice unit that has a good variety of games and is really fun to play the memorable games installed on it.

Perfect pocket tetris
Fun handheld tetris game, my kids love it. Works well and was easy enough for a non tech-savvy Mom to use.

Love the game

The D pad is essentially unusable for fighting games. Also in 2024 a rechargeable battery would go a long way. I really wanted to like this product, but the build quality is not there vs the price, which is disappointing. If you want to own it just for the nostalgia factor, it does look cool and I like the packaging but if youâre planning on opening the box and actually playing it, quite disappointing.
