    Such a premium upgrade
I purchased this z6 iii directly from Amazon as an upgrade to my D200. Just tested it with the newly arrived Nikkor z 24-70 mm f/2.8. The images are so sharp and the unit is so fast and quiet. I appreciate Amazon for the fast handling and shipping of my orders as always.

    Just what I wanted
Long time Nikon user with a lot of older F Mount lenses. I have a D610 but it just wasn’t cutting it. I’m retired.I had looked at the viewfinders of the “mirrorless” cameras years ago and took a pass. These OLED screens are superb.Nikon continues their tradition of solid pro quality equipment. Movies or stills this camera excels.

    Yep, the hype is true…
It’s an amazing camera for the money, gradually got there, Z6 first then Z6 II, the Z6 III is a major upgrade but be prepared for some learning curve as options for setting up is a little more involved.

    A true powerhouse
I upgraded from Z5. Z6iii truly is a huge leap for me, so many features both in stills and video, great customization room, great sensor , very fast , no banding , almost no rolling shutter. Focusing is light years ahead of my Z5, especially in low light , zero hustle and struggle. Highly capable tool and very happy to own one.

    Best bang for the buck!
The predecessor, Z6 II, was an exceptional camera to begin with. The video was acceptable, down-sampled 4K from 6K, it was sharp. The let down was the 8-bit 4:2:0 internal shooting. There wasn’t much latitude in post, so it wasn’t a true enthusiasts hybrid camera. The Z6 II left shooters desiring a more videocentric camera. Now they have it here with the Z6 III, we’ve got the same 24.5mp resolution which is plenty, and exceptional for low light photography and especially video. True Z6 enthusiast didn’t ask for higher resolution since the Z8 covers that. We got the low light and now we the video features with 6K/60p internal raw at full sensor readout, great waveform, line-in, RAW, ProRES, H.265 and H.264 codecs. Amazing. You got the image quality, now you have the video. This camera is a perfect companion to your Z8 or as it’s own platform. With Pixel-Shift, it’s got landscapes covered. It’s small, it’s light, and it packs a punch well above its price level. In fact, you cant get these specs in a camera less than $4000

    This thing takes amazing photos
The camera is so good. The photos come out incredible. Glad I went mirrorless. Feels like quite the step up from dslr nikons I’ve had in the past. Battery life is the only thing I find really lacking. Excited to get to know the camera and take more photos with it.

I REALLY REALLY love my camera!
I bought this camera to replace the cameras I lost in the 2017 Cascade wildfire. I have been putting off buying one as I was not sure which one to buy. Then Nikon came out with this one (Z6III) and it ticked all the boxes. I am so happy with it. ❤️❤️

    I had a D80 upgrade to Z6III
I had a D80 that was a super camera and thought I would upgrade to Z6III. Very happy with it. Really has a lot of really neat features. I purchased a Nikon FTZ mount adapter and all my D80 lenses work great with it. Camera is really a “Powerhouse”! I have an Epson Et-8550 that I got on Amazon and the combination of the Z6III and the 8550 is 👍 great.

This camera is an impressive tool for video shooters, but it does come with a few quirks. The partially stacked sensor causes some flickering in low to medium ISO settings, particularly up to ISO 5400. Additionally, noise levels can be noticeable between ISO 3200 and 5400. However, once you reach the second native ISO at 6400, the flickering disappears, and the sensor performs incredibly well, delivering virtually zero noise. On the positive side, the battery life is phenomenal, easily outlasting most cameras in its class. The handling is top-notch, making it a joy to use, and the ability to shoot RAW internally is a huge advantage for filmmakers. Image quality, once you work within its strengths, is excellent, especially in challenging lighting conditions.Another major benefit is the versatility of the Nikon Z mount, which allows for the use of Sony E-mount lenses with an adapter. For example, I used a Voigtlander Sony FE lens, and the results were outstanding, showcasing the adaptability of this system. If you’re looking to up your video game with a compact, powerful camera that handles beautifully and delivers incredible results at higher ISOs, this is an excellent choice. Despite minor issues with flickering and mid-ISO noise, the strengths, like stellar battery life and RAW recording, make it highly recommended.

  11. Amazon Customer

Very pleased with the 6III. I currently own a Z9 as my main camera and replaced my Z6 with this for my secondary camera. To be honest, I often reach for this more than my Z9 now.ProsNice and lightNew flip screen is a game changer for certain shoots I do.The colours straight out of camera are great.Older batteries and memory cards from my Z6 work with thisVideo capabilities are stellar. 6K raw is fantastic for this price rangeCons:The metal connectors for the strap get in the way of the memory card slot, it becomes inconvenient to remove memory cards (not a deal breaker). It is outrageous that it doesn’t come with an external charger just like every other Nikon Camera that I have owned previously.

I recently purchased the Nikon Z6III from Amazon, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The camera’s performance is outstanding, with its impressive image quality and fast autofocus. The build quality is solid, and it’s comfortable to hold, making it perfect for long shoots. The low-light performance is exceptional, and the battery life is more than adequate for my needs. Overall, the Nikon Z6III has exceeded my expectations and is a fantastic addition to my photography gear. Highly recommended!PS: from a Nikon Z9 user
