Why did I wait so long?
I bought the Ender 3 when it was first released in 2018. It’s been a workhorse, but was always a little clunky and LOUD. I’ve ran Octoprint with a BLTouch for many years. I decided to give this new board a shot, and took my first attempt at Klipper on the Raspberry Pi 4 I’ve been using to control the printer.
First, the Klipper firmware running on this board worked great. The 25 point BLTouch bed mapping makes for a perfect first layer every time. Second…this thing is SILENT. I’m currently printing a new power supply cover to mount a silent Noctua 120mm fan, because the power supply fan is by far the loudest thing on this printer now. For 4 Hamilton’s, this has been the best upgrade I’ve ever done to this printer. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
Do note that out of the box, if you’re running Marlin firmware, you’ll need to tweak the config to get the old dot matrix and scroll wheel display to work. It shows up blank, as I’m betting it comes flashed with the config for the newer touch screen panel. Running Klipper, I removed the control panel altogether.

This board is super quiet. It does take some skill to install.
I replaced the stock motherboard in my CR10 with this 4.2.7 board, mainly for easy software upgrading. I was most impressed when side by side comparing this board to my Ender 3 pro with a 4.2.2. The noise level difference is night and day. Keep in mind this upgrade is not for the faint hearted, make sure you go slow. One crossed wire can fry your printer. One lose connection can cause a fire, so take your time. Long story short if you’re unsure of you abilities you should probably wait to do this upgrade.

WOW!
I bought this as a replacement for my ender 3 pro with a bad mainboard, this board is awesome!!! so far I got it 3 hours ago and installed it with no issues and was surprised at how quiet and smooth it prints.

Bad Broad
So got the broad late do to lost in mail. Once I got it and installed with Marlin 2.xx must stable update. The display shows -15 degs. on both hot end and bed. Tried mother in another working Ender and got same thing. Tried software with adjustments and got the same thing.
Have request a replacement broad. Will update when new one comes in.

Drop in Replacement – Almost…
My e3v2 main board was heat-soaked after the fan died and started to skip while printing. Bought this as a replacement. It is a straight swap, if you have a bltouch. If not, the Z will not go down. Downloading new mainboard firmware fixed that. I used MRiscoC’s firmware found on gitbub and linked in several youtube videos. Once the new firmware was installed the printer was back up and running. It took about 30 minutes start to finish not counting the firmware swap, that only takes a minute once you have it…

Slightly Reduced Noise?
Installation was a pain since the OEM motherboard is covered in hot glue. I recommend sacrificing a soldering iron tip to remove the glue or being precise with a heat gun to remove the original wires.
Upgrading from the 4.2.2 board to the 4.2.7 board was straightforward. Everything is in the same spot and orientation as itâs predecessor. Only downside is that thereâs not too much wire to work with and cable management is a pain in such a small compartment.
There is definitely some improvement with the motherboard fan noise. itâs definitely a slight change. Not a night and day difference.

Newest version is nice
Had a power rail fail on the original board shipped with the unit, so I replaced it with this one. Slightly quieter than 4.2.2, so that’s a win. Otherwise, just as good.

Total waste of money
Bought this to replace the original motherboard that was bad. Worked for 1 print and now it says nozzle to higheture. Tried replacing hot end and still says the same thing. From the research I’ve done the hot end circuit burned up on it… I’ve had nothing but problems with my ender3v2 so I’m selling it and buying a better brand 3d printer

Just as described and delivered on time. Easy install and works great on my Ender 3 V2 3d printer.

It may work fine when replacing other Ender 3 V2 motherboards but does not work to replace Ender 3 V2 V4.3.1 motherboard.

Bought to replace the same board on mine that wouldn’t stop heating the bed.
Works good.

Just want to say the replacement board worked flawlessly, thanks to all involved

I bought this because I was tired of the noise of my 4.2.2 board. It was a little difficult to remove the old one due to the hot glue on each connector. Easy to install new one. Much quieter! Can only hear the fan now when it is printing.
