One of my best purchases on Amazon
I love everything about this propane fire pit. I love that it was easy to set up and is easy to use. I love that I could make it into anything I wanted. Other products were 3-4x more expensive, didn’t have the best reviews, and came with bases or tables built around them. I found those designs less appealing as they limited where I could put it or what I could do with it. I was able to get exactly what I wanted for a fraction of the price and I couldn’t be happier. I chose to put it in our existing wood fire pit with logs around it, simulating the mood of a wood fire. And the beauty is we can easily remove it when we want to have a wood fire from time to time. I love that I chose a low to the ground unit rather than a tabletop unit as I love to sit barefoot by the fire and warm my feet. (But what’s so awesome about this unit is anyone wanting to build a table around it can. With a little imagination and craftiness the possibilities are endless). I love that it provides me a little feeling of camping right in my own backyard. I love that I can listen to the birds and enjoy nature with a warm fire and cup of coffee on cold mornings or enjoy a drink outside on the cooler evenings while winding down. Otherwise I may not be out here, it may be too cold. I love that it provides a lot of heat. (I haven’t experienced a morning colder than mid 50’s yet, but even with a strong wind blowing at that temperature and a few small sprinkles, the heat it gave off on the high setting was soothing and I was very comfortable. I was also wearing my pajamas and housecoat, but my feet were bare and warmed by the fire). I love that if I want to have a quick fire for only 10 minutes I can have that. I followed the instructions and had no problems whatsoever. Some reviewers complained of difficulty with their units not working. I have had no problems. I very slowly turn the valve on the tank, slowly releasing the propane into the hose EACH time I light the unit. The rocks you see are what came with it. I chose to see how many were provided before ordering more, and for me the amount included was acceptable. It does have a faint hissing sound that accompanies the fire, but it doesn’t bother me. The pros vastly outweigh the cons for me. I also bought a propane extension hose to have the tank further away. I found the hiss from the tank was louder than the hiss from the fire. I also learned to light the fire using the flame shaped holes on the side rather than from the top as lighting things like this (including our grill) tend to make me jumpy. This is my first year with it, I’ve only owned it for a little over a month. I will update periodically.*Update*I’m still enjoying my fire on cool mornings. I don’t use it a lot, maybe a couple dozen times a year, but It’s been over 3 years and it’s held up beautifully.

Enjoy a Warm Fire. Easy to Set up and Use.
Oh, what joy and pleasure it is to bask in the warmth of a fire on a cold night!I have the privilege of living about an hour’s drive from the ocean. This means we get the cool-to-cold, Pacific marine layer that the Bay Area enjoys. I live in an area where it does get colder than most other places further up in the Bay Area. During nights, it can be anywhere from 55 F to 38 F, going from November until February. During summers, it stays warm longer here, too. Most summer evenings average anywhere from 60 to 70 F, with the occasional dip down to 55 F.This means that I have a smaller window to enjoy this fire pit. It is far from pleasant when it’s 43 F outside, which makes it less than ideal to sit outside and watch the flames dance over the lava rocks. I do it anyway. This fire pit does put out quite a bit of heat. On these cold, 43 F nights, I’m playing the part of a rotisserie chicken rotating over a spit. The pleasure of standing by the warmth of the flames and watching the conflagration that is the metal bowl come alive, accompanied by the hissing of gas. The yellow light illuminates a warm glow on the walls of my house. The plume of hot air cuddles me with warmth. My back gets cold. I turn my back to the fire and allow its warmth to envelop me. There’s just something calming and meditative about watching the yellow gleams dance and bounce about under the dark skies and cold night air. Where it is noisy during the day time, the air filled with the racket of dogs barking, cars rumbling by some 100 yards away, and the sound of power tools, the night is quiet. All is quiet. All is peaceful. The cozy fire brings about a welcome respite from a day filled with unfair demands, the stresses of deadlines, the emotional turmoil of interacting with family members, and the din of commuter traffic. The tank hisses. Blue flames exit the nozzles of the burners. They transform to fiery, leafy delights. The warm air dances about, changing directions as much as the breeze blows. I dance circles around the pit, locating the column of hot air every so often. A peaceful, calm surrender falls over me. All the worries of the world seem to vanish.

    Great value
Had another but much larger model. That one had a screw on lid that acted as a handle. This one has awkward straps but do work. Problem is the lid may cone off & spill ‘rocks’. Not a deal breaker but 1/2 star less.Other than that it gets 5.They included a 7′ propane cord that on previous more larger expensive model I had to procure extra. This is more compact & easier to move & store size wise. The sides don’t have numerous holes which IMO better.Good, quick, lit 1st time. We replaced rocks with fire temperature glass rocks which make it glisten. Sorry no video.I know if these ever have water in them & not dried properly (left in rain) they will QUICKLY rust & be discarded: store properly which is why we purchased this replacement. But glad I did.

This fire bowl can last for years! Ours has.
This is our second Outland fire bowl purchase. We still use our first Outland fire bowl which we have had for over 5 years without any issues. These fire bowls work great and can typically still be used during most fire restrictions. Well made and easily transported. Sets up inside of 5 minutes of time. Will keep 12 people warm sitting around the fire bowl when it is 45 degrees outside. You will likely get years of use out of this fire bowl. Highly recommend.

Set this up today. Instructions say it comes with 4 bags of lava rocks. 3 bags for the bowl and a bag of “spares”. Well, ours only came with 2 bags and the spares. Not a huge deal as the spares would likely just take up space on a basement shelf for decades. LOL It does blow through a lot of propane, but the manual says to expect that. A full 20 lb tank should last between 7 and 11 hours depending on the valve setting used. We used it full on tonight as it was quite chilly. If you were camping for a week and using it nightly I think it would be best to bring a spare tank if you have one.Anyway, it is a sturdy piece of gear that comes with a lid and carry straps. Doesn’t weight much. Less than 10 lbs I’d say. It was toasty warm once the lava rocks heated up. We sat about 3 feet away. Also, these can be used even if there is a fire ban on in most places. Check your local bylaws. Happy with this unit so far. It will make a nice addition to our camping gear.

Camping on the North West Coast of Scotland. Tent up, fire on, amazing sunset. What more could you ask for. A lot of campsites do not allow fire pits but will allow a fire bowl powered by propane gas. Clean, no mess, no wood to carry, minimal fire risk if positioned correctly. Even on half setting there was a lot of heat coming from it. We put in all the lava rock that came with it. One bag not enough really to cover the burners adequately. Really adds to the atmosphere of an evening. Very portable with the carrying straps/handle. You could really take this anywhere as long as your propane tank isn’t too big. Beach, Garden etc..

Excelente producto. Genera una gran expectativa en la familia para salir y hacer Smores. Genera una gran ambiente cómodo y agradable con la generación de calor

Excellent device – works perfectly, does burn a fir bit of propane, but totally worth it – cheaper than buying wood. Throws quite a bit of heat – an added bonus would be if there was a starter on the dial similar to a BBQ so you didn’t have to find a lighter.
