These work perfect for expanding the USB capability of my motherboard for the lighted fans. I needed two connnections, however the motherboard only had two. This solved the issue.

These were just what I needed to help get all of the LED fans hooked up to the fan controllers on my PC to work, so I could set them to different LED light patterns From my NZXT cam software for my kraken elite 240 CPU cooler. I am assuming most people buying this knows what they need it for. I will give a brief explanation for the less experienced with PC building.
This splitter does NOT give you extra USB ports. The function of this splitter is to allow multiple internal devices (RGB/fan controllers and devices like that) to use just 1 USB header on your motherboard. This splitter will take 1 header with 2 USB connections and split them to 2 headers with 1 USB connection on each.
Internal USB devices generally only use 1 USB slot, but the standard USB header connector takes up both of of the header’s USB connections. This allows the internal USB device to use the standard 8-pin plug (Yes, there are 9 on the board but 1 is dead. this is so you do not connect it backwards) to only use 1 of the 2 USB connections, and leave you with 1 more to connect a case USB port or whatever you like.
