Jury is still out – update – Updated January 23 2025 again – Final update and fix February 14 2025
Easy to assemble, although had to dismantle the box to get it all out. Tested everything in the garage awaiting snowfall. Everything seemed to work fine. Had 1 inch of very light snow last night, goody, I thought. Got the machine out, the self-propelled worked fine, the augur was running fine — until I hit snow, then it blew the snow nicely until it went about a foot and then stopped dead. Checked things out, no jam, started it up again, no problem until it had gone about a foot forward in the snow and then the augur stopped dead, just as if it had hit a large stone. Nothing in the augur or impeller and the driveway was cement with nothing on it that could have jammed.
Called the support line (terrible echo and two sets of voices in the background) but they offered to replace it if I could ship it back. Because it’s battery powered they have no places that work on them. The solution may be simple (bad gear box?) or complicated. I’m 77 and figuring out how to get it back to them would be a nightmare.
I sent them more information and will update this review if and when I hear more. Otherwise, I try to sell the unit. The batteries (2) are worth 50% of the units cost. Stay tuned.
Follow-up 1/11/25. Customer service was very good and they offered to replace the unit. Apparently they don’t fix battery units, they just replace them. My son-in-law was over and we checked over the unit trying assorted things. The augur shuts down immediately if shifted into reverse, so we wondered if perhaps there was some connection. We messed with the forward/reverse lever and amazingly enough the unit now functions normally. I haven’t had any deep snow so it’s hard to give a complete review (I will follow-up with battery life, etc.) but so far after the fix, I am pleased with it. Changed one star to 5.
Edit 1/23/25 2 inch snowfall last night. Had a repeat of the same problem. Unit would go two feet then stop. Frustration, but after a couple hours, went out again and this time played with the order in which the augur and movement handles were engaged. I think (!?) the augur must be engaged first and then the power handle engaged and then it seems to work fine. I don’t know if this is an anomaly for just my unit or what. I know that if you shift into reverse while the augur is running the augur will shut down. Has anyone else had this experience?
Edit 2/13/25 Had 6 inches of snow. Unit worked flawlessly. I have determined that when the spout is pointed to the left as far as it will go, that’s when the unit stops dead after a foot of blowing. Odd, but now it’s working well and handles 6 inches easily.

Works great and easy to put together
Works great. It took 5 minutes to put together and did well in a couple of inches of fluffy snow. I think it could handle more, you would just have to go slow or take small bites. If what I needed perfectly, no motor and small enough to put up in my storage space in the summer.

Good deal for the money, basic with a powerful motor
I bought the Power Smart because I needed a small corded electric snow blower that fits into my tiny garage and my last Toro PowerCurve was an absolute nightmare.
The Power Smart is much heavier than the Toro and the wheels should ideally be larger. Pushing it is a real workout for someone my age. Also you have to bend over every time you want to change the chute direction. Great powerful motor but basic otherwise.
Happily it clears snow much better than even my first Toro ever did, even wet and heavily packed down icy snow. A foot of snow will take time but it will get the job done.
For the money I am 100% satisfied with the Power Curve. If it lasts another season Iâll upgrade the wheels. Hopefully the odd smells from the motor will have dissipated by then.
The Power Smart is an inexpensive basic beast that will get the job done and you will have Superman arms.

Works great on 8 inches or less of snow
Worked great on 3 inches of snow, easy to push along, and was very easy to put together, just needed a Phillips head screwdriver

Poor design and comfort
1 1/2 of new wet snow, cleaned up pretty well. First, killer on back, designed to fit someone 5 foot tall not someone 6 foot tall, always in a crouched position. Very difficult to use due to low position of handlebars. If you raised the handles bars to assist the back issues, that would lift the wheels and could not move forward. Second, no matter how tight the knobs for tightening the handlebars could get, they would rattle lose in two minutes or less. Tried to use zip ties to help keep tight, didn’t work, even using 5 on each knob area. Very disappointed overall in this product. I will need to return and try some other product.

Waiting on snow.
We just had it delivered about 2 weeks ago. All put together. Was easy. Unless you have a lower extremity disability. Get help. Did dry test run. Appears to work. Batteries are fully charged. Now waiting for snow. Once it is fully tested. My rating can increase or decrease. O the Amazon delivery driver did a excellent job in bring the large heavy box up to my garage. Thank you sir!

Love this little beast, clears to pavement
This thing is a power horse and oh so easy to use. My primary goal was I wanted to get down to the pavement and oh does it ever. Just had 4-6″ of heavy snow and did my drive and pad in less than an hour. 3/4 car pad plus a 120′ drive (on hill), would have been less if a car did not compact the snow. I also own a heavy-duty high end gas snowblower that was 10x the cost and find it a heavy beast making any light job (snow fall under 1′) just so much work. The road plow burm was also navigable with 1/3- 1/2 passes. Noise is okay, a mid level. Only wish was a lock or clamp at the plug as It does disconnect easily. It can get to the pavement even after a car has compacted snow (not as easy as no compact but it can with a slow pass). The throwing is surprisingly far, it does have a bit of left and right throw rotation when aiming forward (my only complaint, but I can get over that. LOVE LOVE LOVE and please snow more. So easy that one can haul to every property in a compact car (or bike) or just buy one for each. I can see where the pads might wear and it may not effectively clear to the pavement over time but at this cost, buying one every season would be fine (just wasteful).
