  1. Uncompromising Observations

Runs well on propane, adjust rpm for proper frequency
I won’t use gasoline to avoid fuel storage and longevity issues for times it doesn’t get used, but propane works great with this generator. I ran it on my home circuit for 6-7 hours on a 20lb tank. It varies but it was about a constant 2500 watt load.
I did have issues initially with the generator outputting too high s frequency. I understand it does this to compensate for a full load and it would settle around 59hz when it is fully loaded. But I was getting 64.5hz with no load, and my home load still didn’t bring it below 62hz.
This caused my UPS battery backup’s throughout the home to trip over to battery mode and never charge on generator power. After some research I found you can adjust the RPM with a screwdriver and a wrench via the linkage to the carb. I turned it to be at 60.2hz while it running my usual home load.
Now the UPS’s accept the power and no longer trip.
It starts up quickly and easily with push button or pull start. Assembly was easy as well. It will come on a pallet from a truck with a lift gate, so be prepared to have a way to move it or assemble where they leave it.
Tips for oil changes, I cut a small jug the height of the frame and slid it under for easy draining with no mess. I ran mine for the 5 hours they recommended with synthetic 5w30, then I drained and replaced with the same oil, ran it for 5 minutes, then changed it again so I know it’s ready for service and all the break in metal is removed.
I think for $200 more I could have gotten a similar one with a remote start, I probably would have rather done this but it’s working just fine for me.

Does what it needs to do!
We had our electric pole catch fire after a grounding issue, arked in the box. Electric company deemed it our responsibility so we were without power until repairs were made. Thankfully, I had purchased this Generator beforehand, because living in rural Texas the grid isn’t that sturdy with rolling storms.
This was the first time actually having to use it and I was nervous at first. It did exactly what we needed it to. It powered our camper without any issues and we were comfortable the whole time. Now as everyone complaining about the noise, it’s manageable. I’ve had used an old honda generator that would keep you up at night. With this one we had a peaceful night’s rest each night and didn’t have to wake up all hours to refill it with fuel.
I had previously opened it and assembled it (slight things) I also noticed it didn’t come with any oil. I can’t remember what I used but I know it held a full quart. Also make sure to use fuel stabilizer if you have it sit. I used Sta-bil and it works great. You just need to start it once a month and let it run. I believe the tank holds a little over 6 gallons of straight gasoline, as my 6 gal jug almost fills it up. I got approximately 12 hours (maybe slightly more) of run time before running out of fuel. It ran our AC, fridge, and tv the whole time.
I hope my review helps someone in making a decision, I was very leary at first but it has proven itself to me. I have not used the propane hook up but I believe that you’ll have a longer run-time with that. Thank you for reading my review and have a blessed day!

    Easy to use
I can power my whole house, including my air conditioning unit with this generator. It starts very easily with push button.

So far so good. Runs great and produces power.
So far so good. Runs great and produces power. Not as quiet as I was hoping, but not a deal breaker because I have it in a shed and the muffler faces out the back of it. The reason for the loss of one star is that there is no breaker on the generator so you have to plug into it after the generator is running or walk to the well house to use that breaker.

Powerful generator at a very good price
After the hard freeze we had in February, I decided it was time to purchase an emergency standby generator. I looked at many models and finally decided on this unit. It does have the power to run our whole house in either, winter or summer. It has the ability to run on either gas or LP. Like all of the other reviews, this unit is somewhat louder than competing models, but this is just for emergency purposes, so this is a compromise we are willing to make.
One thing that I did notice was even after putting in a couple of gallons of gasoline, the fuel gauge had not moved any. Suspecting that something had gotten knocked loose in shipment, I removed the gauge to inspect and did not find any problems. Upon further diagnosis, I realized the arm connecting the gauge to the float was too short and not allowing the float to go down all the way to the bottom of the tank; it was 1.5 inches from the bottom of the tank at the lowest point. I have made a new arm that replaces the original one which now allows the float to reach the bottom of the tank and will now give me an accurate tank reading. Other than that, I am pleased with this unit.
    Update:
I have had this unit for a while and while we have not yet needed it, I thought I would add a couple of screen shots of a USB scope and the waveform. There are two, one of our household utility line power and the other is of the generator. From the various loads I ran, there was not any noticeable difference in the sine wave. I am very impressed with this output for this class of an inexpensive generator. This gives me the confidence to connect it to our house without doing any damage to sensitive appliances.
