These work great
I LIVE IN ALASKA!
When you do a review like this PLEASE say where you live.
I had bought my RY408150 40V Brushless 22″ Snow Blower on September 23, 2024, as soon as I found one in stock at our local Home Depot. ( i found the manager and SHE led me straight to it. ALWAYS FIND THE STORE MANAGER. THEY ARE A MANAGER FOR A GOOD REASON!)
It came with 2-8AH batteries. Over the following 2 months I managed to buy THESE 2-6AH batteries from Amazon, and another 2-6AH batteries from our local Home Depot. ALL 6 batteries say RYOBI on them! (i went to Home Depot every day until I found the snow blower and the extra batteries. Home Depot is less than 10 minutes from my house, right next to our Costco)
So I finally had in my possession 6-40V RYOBI batteries. And 1-single battery charger that came with the snow blower. (This is Alaska. 1 charger wont do it)
So over the following month or so I was able to buy another single battery 40V charger AND a “2 battery” – 40V battery charger. I can now charge 4 batteries at a time while operating my snow blower with the remaining 2.
Our 1st snow of this winter season was December 1st. (4 days ago)
I installed THESE 2 batteries first, after I had charged them. (of all 6 batteries, I didn’t charge any of them until I saw the first snow flakes falling!)
They worked exactly as they are supposed to do. After a 1/2 hour or so of blowing snow they quit, no big deal, i put another 2 in and kept on blowing. (if they quit in 1/2 hour I am super happy, i have 4 more!)
When I placed THESE 2 batteries on my DOUBLE CHARGER, they wouldn’t charge, NO BIG DEAL, read the reviews and the instructions. 1/2 hour later they were charging away, PERFECTLY!! These are great batteries and WAY cheaper than Home Depot.
Amazon sells lots of 40V batteries for Ryobi, but THESE are the only ones that ship to Alaska. Some people must think that we don’t get snow? LOOK AT A MAP. LOOK WHERE THE NORTH POLE IS! LOOK WHERE ALASKA IS! AND ALASKA IS A UNITED STATE!!!
These work great and I will recommend them to my neighbor that showed me HIS Ryobi # RY408101 24″ snow blower.
I want to keep plugging Ryobi and Home Depot but this is a review for these batteries.
SO FAR I love these and I will keep following up on this review during our winter season.
I also found out that all of my RYOBI 40V batteries work much better if they are kept at room temperature while not in use. I charge them in my (40 degrees) garage but after they are charged I bring them into my living space so they are at room temperature when I need them! If you leave your snow blower outside, take the batteries into the house when you are not using them.
ALSO these 2 batteries are a little bigger than the ones I bought at our local Home Depot and i will never get them mixed up.
I saw no difference in the snow blowing power AND blowing time between THESE 2 batteries and the 2 batteries that I bought at Home Depot.

Excellent with battery
I received this item and have used it and it’s great. I have a similar battery but it cannot be charged. Can you help me fix it? How do I send it to you and how much does it cost?

Quality product that runs well no issues.
I use this product every week it greatly helps me take care of my yards. Runs great no complaints. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an extra battery for their Ryobi outdoor landscaping tools.

They don’t last as long as they should, but work!
What I disliked is how little they last for. And I don’t just mean over-all battery life, but how over time they lose their performance power. And some last far more than others. So, basically a hit & miss on what you get.
And NO! I didn’t find the higher rated longer lasting batteries worth the extra money even if they worked.
Yes! They did tend to have a longer sustained power output, but not to justify the added cost in my opinion.
With that said my Ryobi products in general perform outstandingly well. We have multiple Ryobi products from screw guns, weed whackers, edger’s, to the blowers. They last long enough to be worth the cost.
That means for me if my whatever Ryobi products lasts over 5 years, then it was worth buying.
Anything longer than 5 years and it becomes a testament to their quality and value.
Why buy them? Because they are easy and convenient to use for getting things done!
I’ve read lots of the reviews and complaints about the batteries and other Ryobi products and I can’t disagree with them in general. Let’s face it, lots of products these days have their flaws in manufacturing and design.
And of course we aren’t ignorant to designed flaws and engineered life. That’s just the way of the world now.
What I will say it that in general the batteries and products are still worth the costs.

Stopped hold a charge in days. TERRIBLE support
Stopped holding a charge with in days. After fully charging it might run as little as 30 sec and then no charge. It was registered so I tried to contact Ryobi only to be on waiting hell for hours over days. I then followed their suggestion to test a message to support and never got a response or a call back. So,nded up buying a Calihutt for a lot less and it has worked great. No more Ryobi for me!
Update: Ryobi will not support products on Amazon unless it is from an authorized dealer. Nothing in ads says unauthorized so customers are screwed if it fails after the return period. This was from Corewireless

Arrived quickly and charged up without a problem
This battery is for a Ryobi mower. It arrived quickly and charged up without a problem. Suits the purpose.
I would note however that the package was not labeled properly as a Lithium Ion battery.
Echo Flux –

This Ryobi replacement lawnmower battery is and improved version with a longer run time from the original. Expensive, but well worth it.

It is way to early to review this battery because I have not had it long enough to judge if it is good and how long it lasts. It is a genuine Ryobi battery and in the past they have been very good so I believe this one will be the same and keep my tools running for a long time.

This product is very good, the only issue I had was it wasn’t delivered on the date specified. Now that was because of the supply chain issues that is out of the hands of supplier. Good news I did receive the ordered item and I’m a happy camper and will probably order another one.
