A Quality, Powerful Rotary Tool.
This rotary tool has a thousand uses. I like having a small cutting set up so I don’t have to bust out the angle grinder or hacksaw on a small project. The buffing and polishing wheels will come in handy for my future plans. My wife uses this tool for nail work. The speed, power and lighter weight of the Ryobi HP+ Brushless tool surpass all nail tools at a better price too. The tool is also very quiet. and 5K-15K RPM You can still hear the TV fine. Most nail work takes place in the 10K-15K RPM ranges anyway.
Last thing, In my opinion, The “quick change” collet chuck thing is anything but. To me, It is a pain in the A$$ and useless. Thankfully the tool comes with a normal simple collar so you can change collets quickly and simply by taking the collar off and change tool bits by loosening the collar.

Appears to be heavier duty than the current model I use.
Aluminum handheld looks to be more durable than my old unit and it seems to have more torque.

My 2nd Ryobi rotary tool
I had the older version of this (part of my way too many yellow/green power tools) and it finally stripped out the wand. This one was barely more than fixing my old one.
I use this constantly for so many little (and big) garage and hobby tasks. It has so much more power than other battery powered versions and just plain works better, and unhindered by a cord, than the old style electric ones.

I love it!!! Too bad it broke easy.
Works great. Good power. Used included cut off to modify a steel pipe and it cut like a hot knife through butter. However, while doing some grinding afterward I accidently hit the release detent for the hand piece and the flex shaft dropped out. The detent that keeps the flex shaft in dropped out of the hand piece and flew somewhere in my basement…. Now I cant attach the hand piece again. So maybe get the one without the detachable handpiece to avid this situation….

Defective quick change collet and Ryobi won’t stand behind warranty
The rotary tool itself works well but it came with a quick change collet that is likely defective. It is difficult and inconsistent to insert and remove accessories into the collet while following the directions.
I contacted Ryobi seeking to obtaining a replacement for only the quick change collet. They seem to have a policy that the warranty doesn’t apply to third party sellers like the Zbest Sales who actually sold this item.
