I am so glad I bought this
Let me start by saying that I own a real Tweed Deluxe. I also own a 50s Princeton, a black face Deluxe Reverb, and a Twin, but my favorite amp of all time is the Tweed Deluxe. When I heard about these new pedals, I was skeptical about how they would sound in a real world, recording application. I basically wanted something that sounded as good as placing a nice microphone in a good studio next to an amp, but without the headache. I gotta say, Universal Audio really nailed it. It’s not going to sound like you’re standing next to an amp in the same room, but it sounds like a RECORDING of an amp in a room. That’s what I care about. Will this replace recording the real thing? If you have the budget and time, there’s nothing like the sound of a real 50s tweed in front of a vintage U67 or ribbon mic in a perfect sounding room into a $100k mixing console. If you’re like most of us that are simply looking for something that gets you 95% of the way until you hit the lottery, I think you’ll appreciate this. If you you enjoy the ease and simplicity of an actual Tweed, I think this will make sense to you. If you prefer something with reverb and tremolo, you can use pedals or plugins or you may want to consider the other pedals in this line. For my application, this is perfect.

    Perfect, exacting 1955 tweed sound
This pedal totally nails the 1955 Fender Tweed sound. The UAFX Dream (Fender Blackface Deluxe) is arguably a more versatile amp, but for those of us who know the tweed tone this little guy has all the grit and soul as an original tweed amp.

    Love to hate UA
So the sound quality is what you expect. You really need to know what this is. Its not a clean platform. Neither is the amp it emulates. However it’s reactive and sounds like it should. So what to hate? It lacks analog warmth and why I don’t know but for some reason both this and my dream pedals when put directly into a AI emit a high frequency ringing sound after you strike any strings on your guitar. I tried strymon and even though it did not sound as accurate it did not have that issue. I finally switched to the engl amp cab sim which retains my pedals tones and has way more possibilities not trying to emulate what it is not.

terrible sounds at this price point
i was given the pedal and used for about a week , before i gave to someone else- its that bad!horrible sounds , very close to that sound that is just too distorted for its design intention.save your $$$
