As any leftie would know getting a cheap mandolin in Australia is almost impossible. This thing for about $220 isn’t too bad. It looks pretty good, sounds pretty good but I need to get the machine heads replaced, they just slip and go out of tune constantly. But just to get a feel for the instrument and learning a few chords and seeing if you want to invest bigger bucks and pursue it. For that purpose, I think it’s a pretty good buy, if, you’re left handed.

For the price of the instrument it’s a decent entry level mandolin, the paint job is excellent with only a few tiny flaws, the construction is solid but I’m swapping the bridge on mine. Overall it’s a good mandolin to start out with, but change the strings immediately as they’re dull and not a good quality.

This just arrived and is even nicer than I had hoped. For this price you can’t go wrong. A bit deeper bodied than most mandolins, and this gives it a fuller and louder sound. The bridge was already set properly, and the strings are staying in tune. The only adjustment I made was lowering the bridge. Looks and plays beautiful.
