Reliable and Efficient Generator – Highly Recommend!
I recently purchased this generator, and I must say, Iâm thoroughly impressed! Itâs incredibly reliable and has worked flawlessly during power outages. The setup was easy, and it starts up quickly every time I need it. The fuel efficiency is outstanding, and it runs for hours without needing frequent refueling. What I love most is how quiet it is compared to other generators Iâve used in the past. Itâs also surprisingly compact, making it easy to store when not in use. Whether for home emergencies or outdoor events, this generator has exceeded my expectations.Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable and efficient power source. Worth every penny!

Dual fuel, easy start, powerful – perfect for outages!
I purchased the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF to ensure my home stays powered during outages, and I couldnât be happier with my decision. This generator delivers plenty of power to run essential appliances, including the refrigerator, lights, and even HVAC if needed.- Dual Fuel Capability â Runs on both gasoline and propane, but I just wanted the propoane.- Easy to Start â The push-button electric start is a game-changerâno more struggling with pull cords.- Powerful Output â 9500 running watts and 12500 peak watts on gasoline (and slightly lower on propane), I can run my entire house.- Transfer Switch Ready â Simple setup to power household circuits directly. The build quality is solid, and the generator operates quieter than expected for its size. Whether for emergency preparedness or job site use, this is a great investment. Highly recommend!

Solid Generator! Great Build Quality!
Great generator. Easy to set up. Very good build quality. Remote start works perfectly. Noise level is ok for the tremendous power output. Very fuel efficient and it is very convenient to run it with a tank of propane gas whenever you don’t want to run it on gasoline. Overall a great addition to our house’s emergency toolkit.

Impressive Generator
Before I bought this generator I read reviews for various generators. I decided on this unit based on the positive reviews from satisfied customers as well as its impressive. I am confident it will provide all my electric needs in the event of a power outage. This unit provides the best value for the features and output. The engine started/starts flawlessly with the remote fob. The generator arrived in perfect condition. The assembly was straightforward, and after testing it with natural gas for the break-in period, it started on the first try with a fully charged battery. I haven’t tested it with my A/C unit yet, but I believe it will handle that load along with the refrigerator, freezer, and various house lights, etc.The generator comes with all the necessary accessories, including propane and natural gas hoses. Despite its weight, the included wheel kit makes it easy to maneuver. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this generator; it looks good, operates smoothly, and has the capabilities I need.I’m going to use propane as the default fuel to eliminate issues with gasoline going stale and clogging the carb after sitting unused for long periods. I additionally did have to purchase a high-altitude kit for both gasoline and propane fuels, since I live above 2,000 feet, but their price was quite reasonable -negligible actually.Set up and start up was a breeze with the clear and concise instructions. I was curious about how loud the generator would be and was very pleased that it is not terribly loud. The power output on this generator is more than capable to keep everything running that I intend to load on it. I’m thrilled with this purchase. A solid device that I will appreciate that I purchased when the time comes!

Impressive Performance
UpdateI said I would update this if something went wrong, but I later decided I had more to say. Overall, I am very impressed with this generator. I completed installing a 50 amp input box running 6 gauge wire to an interlock kit in my service panel with a 50 amp circuit breaker. After the installation, I started up the generator on propane and tested it out for a couple of hours. It really exceeded my expectations. I ran the AC, a refrigerator, a deep freezer and a microwave at the same time, along with all the regular lights and such. The generator only changed pitch when the AC kicked on, as one would expect, but otherwise ran smoothly, seemingly unaffected by each additional load. I turned on every breaker in the house (though not every item, of course) except for the electric dryer and the car charger. I don’t expect we’d really need a dryer so I’m not worried about that one way or the other, and the Volt can run on gas if it needs to. I probably wouldn’t charge it from the generator because it would be less efficient than just running the gas engine. Anyway, I couldn’t be more pleased with how it handled providing everything I would need in another power outage.Others have pretty throughly covered the details of this product, so I don’t repeat those, but there is one thing I do feel is worth noting. The generator comes with the neutral and ground bonded. This is exactly what you would want if you are running it on a job site and plugging extension cords into the outlets. However, for feeding it into the service panel of my house (where the main panel is already bonded), I needed to follow the instructions on pages 15-16 to unbond the neutral and ground in the generator. The thing is that the manual is particularly unhelpful in telling you whether or not you need to do that. It more or less says, ‘do this if your electrician tells you to.’ It seems to me that this could make that vague, short section easy to overlook, so please pay attention to your specific installation. You may need to do nothing, you may need to unbond it as I did, or you may need to ground it with a rod, depending on how you are using it. There are lots of web sites and YouTube videos that explain why you would choose one for your situation, and it’s easy to understand which you need and to unbond it if you need to. However, don’t let the lack of emphasis on this in the manual make you think it’s not important. It is a safety issue and is very important, so be sure you make a conscious decision about it.Overall, I am very happy with this choice of generator. While I could have gotten by with the next size down by limiting what I would run on it, it is comforting to know that I can keep the entire house running the next time we lose power.OriginalThis is a short-term review because Iâve only had this for a few days. Still, Iâve used it enough to note some pros and cons. The unit arrived in a damaged box that had been patched up by someone along the way. Good for them, because they really did restore the integrity of the box and prevented the possibility of damage to the unit. There was a scrape where the box damage was, but not enough to worry about. One other problem was that the cap over the LPG intake had been torn off of its keeper cord. Given the weight of the item, this isnât bad.Opening the box, the assembly was easy (other than turning the heavy generator on its side). The instructions were clear and everything went as expected. Once the oil was added and the propane attached, I started it up. It was disconcerting that it backfired on the first start, but it hasnât done that since. I ran it only on propane (which is how I intend to run it) It ran smoothly and easily handled the load I put on it. I didnât stress if because of the break-in period, but I ran some items of different sizes and it handled everything easily. The largest thing I checked it out on is an electric induction range and oven and it hardly noticed when I turned it on.The features of the generator are excellent. I really like the remote start button and the covers over the outlets. It is really solidly built, yet it is smooth and easy to move. The folding handle gets out of your way when you donât need it and it rock solid when you do.This will be an emergency generator for our home, and I will be using the 50 amp outlet plugged into a Reliance 50 amp input box. I donât have my interlock kit installed yet, so I havenât tested it on multiple loads, but Iâll do that next week and add to the review if anything problematic arises. Overall, this looks like a solid product that will easily meet my needs.

Ordered this generator in October and finally got around to installing it yesterday – January 9th 2025. It was an easy install and started once the gas reached the engine. Tried the key fob remote – started up immediately. So far I’m excited about this generator. Sure hope it continues to comfort me. I love it.

I have had the generator for a short period of time. Delivery was quick and the generator arrived with all the components indicated. Easy to assemble and started up straight away. Powered the house and electric devices no problem. I do wish the exhaust noise was a bit more muffled though.
