Great Generator
I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen2800c, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! This portable inverter generator has exceeded my expectations in so many ways.First off, it’s incredibly quiet. I was pleasantly surprised at how little noise it produces. We recently had Helene pass through, and I legitimately could not hear this generator running outside my back door over the sound of the neighbor’s generators 100 feet away. Very, very quiet. The power output is more than sufficient for my needs, it was able to easily power a fridge, chest freezer, and router, as well as charge several devices without ever leaving eco mode.Portability is another strong suit. Itâs lightweight and comes with a comfortable handle, making it easy to transport. I appreciate the compact design, which fits neatly in my garage without taking up too much space.Setup was a breezeâno complicated assembly or extensive instructions. Just add oil, fill it with gas, and it’s good to go. Fired right up first try, ran with no issues for 24 hours straight, only being shut off to refill the fuel.Maintenance is easy and straightforward, access to the oil drain/fill port is easy, though I’d recommend using the included funnel to drain the oil, otherwise it spills down inside the machine. The spark plug and air filter are likewise easy to access, though the fuel filter looks like it’ll be difficult to change. Maintenance requirements are pretty minimal, and all parts are readily available from the Westinghouse website.Fuel efficiency is absolutely incredible. This generator holds about 1 gallon of gas, and with a fridge, freezer, router, and fan connected, it’ll run for 10+ hours on that single gallon of gas. Very, very efficient generator. The description says it’ll run for 12 hours at 25% load, but I never had it go quite that long for me. Real world, I’d say expect 8-10 hours of actual run time, which is still very good for a single gallon of gas.Overall, the Westinghouse iGen2800c is an excellent investment for anyone in need of a reliable, efficient, and portable generator. If you’re looking for something that’ll keep your frozen foods frozen and charge your phone, it’s an absolutely great investment. Very fuel efficient, plenty of power for basic appliances, easy to transport, and relatively inexpensive. Highly recommended.

Westinghouse iGen2200
This is the second iGen2200 I purchased. I have a whole house Wen generator I use during extended power outages. The problem with a whole house system is the large quantity of fuel required to run them. 16 gallons per 24 hour duration for my application. Hurricane Ian, a huge multi county devastating storm that effected my area knocking out power for weeks, created a situation where fuel was difficult to obtain. Within a couple of days, homeowners had run out of stored generator fuel, forcing those who could, to drive pretty good distances to find gas. Literally thousands of people descending on the closest available stations with fuel. Stations understandably would have a 2 or 3 gas can refill limit. Easy to imagine the problems with that. I had purchased an iGen2200 a couple years ago to cover short term, small power requirements, and am glad I did. After dealing with a stressed fuel supply I started to augment the iGen2200 into my daily power plan. To conserve fuel I would run the whole house system for a few hours each morning and then again for a couple hours before the sun went down, the rest of the time, if we needed power, I would run the 2200. The 2200 was the perfect size with 1800 continuous watts, which would easily handle my wife’s CPAP, fans, lights TV/radio, etc., it would run 13 to 14 hours on a gallon of gas, it is portable, very quiet, 50 hours of run time between oil changes, always starts on one pull. I also like the power saving mode. I bought a second 2200 to run parallel for intermittent larger load requirements like hot plates, electric fry pans etc. The new iGen2200 started first pull right out of the box. My point to all this is that large, whole house generators are good for short duration (2 to 3 days) outages, but small, portable inverter generators can play an important role providing economic power with fantastic fuel consumption rates.

Great price point for the portability AND power
seems made well and has good output, light weight, compact and very quiet. Works with propane as advertised. Haven’t tried with regular gas yet but good to know it’s an option

Exactly as Advertised
I received my generator in a timely manner and it was exactly as advertised. It is very light and easy to carry. It is easy to start. It comes with all the tools you need for basic maintenance, including a threaded funnel for adding/changing oil. And for $350, it is respectably quiet though you probably would not want to run it at night in the middle of a camp ground. It’s not THAT quiet.

Excellent little workhorse
We bought this generator to help during outages of our awful power company. It’s smaller and actually lighter than I anticipated – easy to set up, use, and store. Instructions were also super clear and descriptive. Overall, I’m extremely impressed and look forward to it lasting a long time.

Works Great
Started up right out of the box. Make sure you follow the initial start up procedure to avoid problems. The documentation provided is excellent.I have run this for about three hours now. I have tested it with various devices and have had no issues. I charged an e-bike, an iPhone, ran a fan, and even plugged in a small space heater. It handled everything. As long as you pay attention not to overload the watt, especially during the breaking period.I tested it with gas and propane. Both worked fine.It is relatively quiet for a generator. Keep it in eco mode and it is even better. It’s not like you can’t hear it but not to anoying. Less noise than my lawn mower.

Bought for RV didnât try it out on it yet but tried with a light and charge a battery with it seems ok for now

Bought this generator because of the high praise of online review. Did all the necessary break in steps with all the necessary oil changes. Then put away till I need it. Well, I needed it now and it starts and run but whenever there is even a slight load change, the generator surges and the lights inside the house flickers. This is definitely not right and not acceptable. Donât know what this is doing to my electronics. Definitely not happy with this generator and wouldnât recommend.
