It’s a great lightweight but powerful mini chainsaw
This is a good lightweight but powerful chainsaw. I usually don’t trust battery powered anything and was sceptical to buy this and again there was not a single existing review for this particular model so I went ahead to try my luck. I did read reviews of the other models but for almost the same size and extra $20 difference in price this was much faster and little bigger than the other worx 10 inch chainsaw. Good I got this one. I needed one to get rid of the vines that keep on growing on my backyard fence and also the trees than keep on getting old and fall occasionally in my backyard. It’s not long enough time to test the durability of this chainsaw but it looks sturdy. For the first time users, I would suggest to coat the bar and chain nicely with chainsaw oil before assembling. It didn’t come assembled, so after coating the chain and chainsaw with the oil, I would follow the marking on the chainsaw blade that tells us the direction of the chainsaw blade and put it on the bar first. Then put it around the chainsaw drive and set and align the bar on the body and then pull the bar forward before putting the cover back on to make sure the chain has enough tension and no kinks, keep on pulling the bar outwards until you tighten up the auto tension cover fully. Check the tension on the chain before using by pulling the chain outwards, the links should get back on to the bar properly when you let go.The chainsaw was ready after I fully charged the battery before the first time use, and filled it with chainsaw oil. I ordered chainsaw oil along with it as it doesn’t come with any. Started the first time and boy it’s fast and powerful.I used it to clean up all the stubborn vines that had been there from past few years over my backyard fence. It was cutting it like a champ, I had to be very careful not to touch the fence with the chainsaw. I did that once and the chainsaw stopped instantly but the cain came off, I put it back on and re-tentioned it. After that I would just retention the chain after every 20 minutes or so. The battery lasted for approximately 1 hour probably because I was just cutting the vines. Next day I went behind the fence to chop of one of the trees that had fallen and to my surprise this little thing didn’t even flinch a bit and was cutting them up like butter. I think they were around 8 inches. I feel it is big enough for cutting upto 10 inches. It lasted approximately 45 minutes this time. So I would say the runtime depends on the type of job. This is lightweight and I was able to use it with one hand easily if I had to stretch to a distance. It may feel heavier to some but I think the weight would be manageable as it’s not heavy by any measure. I saw one youtube video where they upgraded a similar worx chainsaw with a bigger 14 inch bar and chain and it worked all right, so there’s an option to upgrade it unofficially. All in all I would recommend it for the current price and would suggest to buy another battery pack for longer runtimes.

    Worx really great.
Worx really great. Loving this chainsaw. Glad i purchase at right time. Bad storm came through. Had cut large tree. Cut through like butter. Just saying it’s amazing saw.

I have not been able too keep the chain on .
My chain comes off after just a few cuts. Small branches are all I am cutting after about 4 branches I have to stop and put the chain back on. Cut good when it’s on.

works as intended, but could use a second battery
pro: good (enough power) to cut through (up to) medium-size logs; comes with battery and chargercon: one battery typically doesn’t last long enough for bigger jobs – get another one for more use time; feels a bit light for two-handed use

    Good saw
Runs good for cleanup of debris

A small saw that is lightweight, easy to maneuver and powerful
It hasn’t been long enough to test the long term reliability of this chainsaw but it it looks and feels comparable to my corded Portland chainsaw I’ve been using for years. The runtime varies depending on the difficulty of the cut, and if the battery is lower than 3 dots it might not be able to do tough cuts.If you don’t already have chainsaw oil, this doesn’t come with any, but I already had some for my other chainsaw and pole saw. One bottle of oil goes a long way if you aren’t a pro, I haven’t bought more oil for a decade worth of clearing the yard, driveway, and cleaning up fallen trees.Unlike my Milwaukee battery operated power tools this didn’t come assembled.I assembled it following the manual instructions — Open the tension cover by undoing the big orange knob. Second put the chain on the bar, matching the image on the chainsaw blade and manual for the chain orientation. Third, put it around the gear on the motor body and align the bar on the body, make sure the chain has no kinks, tilt the bar down until you tighten up the auto tension cover fully. Rev the chain several times and re-tighten. Check the tension on the chain before using by pulling the chain away from the bar, the links should snap back in the channel properly when you let go. I check the tension every 15-30 minutes, after large cuts, and anytime the safety brake engaged. Remember to remove the battery and wear safety gloves before checking tension.I fully charged the battery before the first time use, and filled it with chainsaw oil.Now to the good stuff – I love the chain tension adjustment on this thing! On other saws, I need to track down the specific wrench or allen wrench that can open the cover, then keep track of the cover, screw, maybe a washer. Meanwhile I’m balancing the saw, the chain and bar on my leg, and have to get all the stuff reassembled after tightening the chain with a screwdriver. But on this saw – so long as the chain is in the channel on the bar, and you don’t need to clean debris from out under the cover, you don’t even need to open it up to adjust the tension! You just turn that big orange knob at the base of the bar. I love it, it’s so much easier. Even when you need to take the cover off to clean it up, the knob and all the hardware to put it back on stay in one piece so long as you don’t loosen it too much. Saves me a heart pounding moment where I’m afraid I can’t go back to cutting for 2 weeks while I track down a replacement component because I dropped it off the side of the porch while cleaning the thing. It makes it much easier to tighten the tension frequently while working, which improves safety on big jobs.Even better, even without the gas or the extension cable, this thing can cut! Had a bad storm and had to clean up plenty of fallen trees and really put this thing to the test. It rolled through everything smoothly, and only hesitated when I tried to cut through a trunk thicker than my thigh when it only had 3 dots on the battery indicator. I charged it back up and the next day it sailed right through that tree, and kept going when I bucked the rest of it, 5-8 more cuts through similar thickness. Still had juice leftover to fell a buck and fell several more trees that day. I wouldn’t expect this to run for much more than an hour, but personally if I’ve been working that long I’m worn out too, so it’s a good reminder to take it easy. Only frustrating if you’re in the middle of a cut. Make sure to check the battery before making a mess you won’t be able to clean up until the next day, if it’s 3 or below focus on small easy cuts.Overall I recommend it heartily so long as you aren’t so entrenched in another battery ecosystem that adding a new charger isn’t onerous. I’ve got a big mishmash of different chargers, and I don’t think I’ll be able to afford to change that anytime soon, so one more wasn’t a big deal to me.This is a review for Worx Nitro 20V 12″ Cordless Brushless Chainsaw 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger Included WG350

Keeps up with all the $350-500 20V brushless top name saws!
High draw, melts other’s batteries! Torque is unbeatable! Chews right through 10” full trunks! Beware knock off batteries better have good overload protection, as this saw pulls hard on them ! OEM batteries never trip though! What a saw!!!! Only wish it took standard S44, not the oddball sized S45 cutting chain.
