Best chainsaw ever
No mixing gas, no smoke, no pulling a rope, very quiet and saws just as good as a full size gas saw. Right out of the box this saw chopped up a huge limb in minutes, I love using this saw, it’s light, maneuverable and cuts with plenty of power, I’m done with gas because of the issues associated with them. I would recommend this saw to anyone with gas problems.

Never expected this much power!
I try to buy the Nitro line whenever possible but for the chainsaw it was about twice the price. I just put it on my wish list and left it there for a month or so. After I brought down a large dead branch with my Worx pole saw (WG186 + pole saw attachment), I tried to cut it up with my gas powered chainsaw and it immediately threw it’s chain. I’ve had to become an expert at putting it back on. I wanted the Worx 40V Nitro b/c I could just grab it and cut whenever I wanted rather than pull the cord or leave it idling, burning gas. Well, to quote Darth Vader, my gas saw failed me for the last time and I ordered the Worx Nitro even though it was about $300. WOW! I’ve had a big, dense stump in my backyard for about a year that I dug out of the ground. The Worx saw went right through it, top to bottom. If you forced me to complain I’d say “I’m covered in sawdust!” The side panel that holds the chain on is a WAY better design than the traditional awkward arrangement of holding it on while screwing it in place. The screw is build in while you press it on and twist. My neighbor had a big branch acting as a kickstand for a tree and I went over and made short work of it, leaving him a pile of birch wood in it’s place. I’ve got a LOT of Worx tools–this is the most powerful one I’ve seen yet. Looking at the prices of gas, Worx Nitro is the way to go. I bought Tool Only, but it’s still worth it if you need the batteries and charger.

Worth considering as it’s reliable
It seems there’s a high cost to a low price and we’ll usually wait until we have the money to buy a higher cost product except for this saw. We buy Worx products for my wife as she’s a gardener who self=performs most all tasks. Being 5’3″ and 105 lbs, I’m looking for a product she can manage that does the chore she expects. Worx fits that bill. While she doesn’t use a chainsaw, she has the batteries from several previous purchases and that’s where the costs lie. I took a shot on this saw expecting it to be under powered but also expected not to use it often. It offers surprisingly good cuts and while the batteries don’t have enormous capacity, I’m pleasantly surprised at how useful the saw is. There’s value here for small home chores and it’s cut 12″ seasoned oak many times.

Better than Expected
I searched and read reviews on cordless chainsaws and I went with this one and I am happy that I did. I have Worx products and have batteries so the battery power was not an issue. The ease of use was great, not heavy and bulky like a regular chain saw. It cut thru the wood easily and I was pleased at how quick you can get work done without having a nasty traditional chainsaw. I have a relatively small yard so I do not need to cut down huge trees with it.

Great product!
This battery powered chainsaw surpassed our expectations! We’ve cut down so many dead trees on our property that are beyond what it should be able to handle. MIL recommended to us and it has been great. We bought 4 batteries so we can work with 2 while the other 2 charge. Definitely worth the money and highly recommend.

great until the chain comes off
Worked great for the first few days, then the chain came off and it has been unusable ever since. Replaced the chain with the manufacturer part and can’t get the chain to tension correctly. Basically an oily paper weight now.

Works very well and is quieter than the gas one. Didn’t come with batteries or charger. Had to purchase those separately and those cost more than the chain saw
