Relatively cheap way to get lots of CPU cores
Let’s be honest: Nobody buys these “cheap” dual Xeon boards to run mission-critical applications on. You buy this because you need a lot of CPU cores and don’t want to break the bank. This board plus some cheap, used v3 Xeons from Fleabay and you’re in business.
I’m running dual E5-2699 v3 CPUs. That’s 36 physical/72 total cores. What am I doing with it? CPU mining, of course. Some CPU-mineable coins rely a lot of L3 CPU cache, while other coins strictly love core count. For those core count coins you’re getting 72 cores @ about 250 watts at full tilt. You will need good CPU heatsink fans and the Supermicro SNK-P0050AP4 are the best LGA2011 HSFs out there. You can find them used for the same price as lesser HSFs, new. BTW, the Supermicro SNK-P0050AP4 HSFs fit just fine but if you don’t want CPU2 blowing hot air into CPU1, you have to mount them sideways (blowing air towards the PCI-E slots). For mining duty you will also need good airflow over the VRMs. I have two 80mm fans sitting right on top of the VRM heatsinks and they stay nice and cool. If you have this motherboard in a case with great airflow, you don’t need to separately cool the VRMs.
Been running this MB 24/7 for 3 weeks now, crypto mining. Zero issues. I highly recommend checking out YouTube videos on this MB before buying/using. I learned a ton from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v5s42DEC3I&t=185s including how to set the jumpers for the M.2 slots. This MB does not come with any kind of manual, nor could I find one online. You need to know what you’re doing and/or how to use the internet to figure things out.
This board booted up right off the bat, no problems. Did have a little trouble getting the board to recognize my M.2 boot SSD, but that was my fault for not having the jumpers set correctly. Stock, this board is configured for nVME drives in both the M.2 slot. If you are trying to boot from a cheap M.2 drive like I do, the jumpers have to be configured correctly, and that is covered in the video I linked to.
This isn’t the cheapest “Cheap X99 duallie motherboard” out there, but I’ve used some of the cheap ones and this is so much better. Recommended.

Does NOT work
I tried multiple CPUs, different ram brands (yes ECC ram), different graphics cards, and different power supplies. Nothing worked at all and while yes the computer turned on nothing would post. I did every troubleshooting step possible and went on reddit/ google to find anything I didnât do. The motherboard is faulty and doesnât display, so do not buy it

works good with correct memory – NEEDS ECC
I gave a bad review initially, I am changing my review. I thought I ordered ECC memory, but it was not. Make sure you get ECC memory or it will error out with the second Processor installed. Needs second Processor to have full function of the board. With ECC memory board works great… my only complaint is lack of documentation.

Great X99 Board
I’ve bought various x99 boards for different Chinese suppliers from aliexpress, amazon and alibaba and this one is one of the nice looking boards. The board doesn’t have any TPM (not even TPM 1.2) but other than that it’s a solid board I’m using a Xeon E5 2680 V4 and 64gb ram with a Deepcool assassin cooler and it’s a fantastic set up for not too much money. Haven’t checked for XMP yet but will update when I do.

Expensive looks decent
The box it came in looked like it had soaked in oil but everything inside was ok.
Worked first try with dual 2698 v4s and 128gb ECC memory. Heatsinks above the CPUS get pretty hot.
Has a tpm2.0 header !
Seems like there’s no bios for this motherboard and it’s an off brand machinist so I’m unsure if you can flash it to the machinist bios…
Other than that it works
Hopefully it last……
For anyone having issues with v4s make sure you are using ECC memory or you’ll only be able to run one CPU!!

Motherboard code P9.
Can’t find anything on the internet for any X99 or C621 chipset describe this error. Have tried 1 CPU instead of two, tried ECC and Desktop RAM one slot, all slots. Nothing. Reset CMOS, nothing.
Dead board unless someone can describe this.
UPDATE:
This is a MACHINIST rebranded board. NO YOU CAN’T FLASH ANY OTHER D8 MAX BIOS ON THIS BOARD. You will brick it unless you have a RT tool.
Appears there may be a dead RAM slot, Socket 2, D1. Ram plugs in just fine, but WHEA.
When RAM is plugged, load up windows, system throws WHEA errors with a IO/Interconnect error. It’s correctable, and system doesn’t crash.
Two Xeon 2696V4s
224GB of 256 of DDR4 ECC.
Board’s power draw does not read properly. MAX TDP on board readout depicts 34 watt peak under 24 hours of Prime 95. CPU Package temperatures read just fine too. AUXTIN temperatures are false, and stay at 107c. No active VRM temps visible here either, but ran the FLIR and temperatures are okay for VRMs w/ top down heatsink fans blowing. 97c peak on 24 hours of Prime 95.
CPUs turbo clock and boost just fine.
No outstanding issues with this board, just wish it had more actual PCIE slots like Huanzhai’s F8D Plus.
I give it a 5/5 mostly because it arrived faster than any other board from Aliexpress. 4/5 for seemingly dead RAM slot, don’t have any other ram to test that is ECC.

Placa mãe funcionou certinho

I was excited to install LG2011 CPUs into an affordable board with 4x 16x PCIE gen 3 slots, it’s exactly what I was looking for for AI/ML applications. The issue is I cannot Activate virtualization from the BIOS as per standard server boards.
Today after installing new ram, the error code B6 (a useful feature) came up, I reset the cmos battery and now the board will not turn on at all.
I’ve only had it a little over a month and it’s too late to return.

Apesar de ser uma marca não conhecida a placa é muito boa vem com Chipset q87 e não esquenta muito. Uso com xeon 2680 v4.
